Photo and quote by Ann Voskamp
“Prayer is not formality but soul conversation. A conversation we come to…. and never want to end, the nakedly frank conversation that lets the hurt and the frustrations and the love hang all out, the talk without ceasing that we have with God while we hang out the laundry, stir the soup, cut the lawn, drive for errands. The conversation with tears, with heart, with eyes, with pen, with ears.”

Thank you, Ann. Beautiful words and images.
“Prayer is .. soul conversation.”
When we pour out our words, while doing whatever is at hand, quietly in our minds or even through fleeting whispers in our hearts, I think we find our spirit breathing and God’s breath mingles in between. I am learning to live with the sensation He is one with my day and my day is one with Him.
Blessings. Such inspiration.

I love this description of prayer as a soul conversation. It’s honest and intimate and just what God desires from His children. Thanks for sharing!
