  1. This is gorgeous Kimba! I made something similar for our Thanksgiving table in October (Canadian Thanksgiving is much earlier than the US)but love yours much better. Congrats on the guest post and I’m so glad you’ve led me to this site for inspiration!

  2. This is great! I just made a centerpiece with sticks, ribbon, moss and a vase from my wedding! All things I had! And I’m going to do this with mason jars sometime too! Thanks, Kimba.

  3. Such a simple but effective decoration. I am passing this along to my daughter who needs ideas for her Thanksgiving table. This would be perfect. Thank you.

  4. I love this idea! So simple, but so beautiful! I lack the creativity gene, so I rely on great tips like this to make my home beautiful. Thank you!

  5. During this time of economic downturn, I’m so pleased to see someone suggesting that we look to nature, in our cupboards, closets, basements, barns and attics to find items to create simple masterpieces to brighten our homes and spirits. Recycling helps preserve this beautiful planet God made for his children. Thank you for your inspiration Kimba!

  6. Love that it’s simple and yet rich in color…thanks for a great idea. You can do this in minutes!

  7. I’ve also filled the blue glass canning jars with small silver balls for the Christmas season and then tied a ribbon around the top for a coastal holiday theme. Simple, but elegant.

  8. Thanks for inspiring me to use what I have already. This is really simple and lovely. I need to look around now and see what I could adapt to this idea.

  9. Beautiful display…some of the most beautiful things can be created with things you already have. You just have to have the eye!

  10. Mason jars are so useful! We used them in our wedding – filled them with flowers and hung them on shepherds hooks. Didn’t think about using them with candles though. Thanks!

  11. Wow I’m going to get to know you. I’ve read some of your blog and girl I like you attitude of caring for others and freedom to be yourself. Have a great day

  12. Such a great look! You’ve given me the idea to use several groupings of mason jars on my deck which is in fall mode. So easy to vary the height of candles with filler. Thanks for the inspiration!

  13. Oh I love all these creative projects I’m reading about. This sure gets me in the mood for fall and the coming holidays and gets my creative juices flowin!

  14. How simply beautiful! I will be using that idea for Christmas dinner at our place this year!! Thanks so much for the idea AND the chance to win a necklace…is gorgeous as well!

  15. My favorite fall decoration was made with some leftover craft felt (from a kids project!) and some jute twine found in our garage. I found some basic leaf shapes on the internet and used them for a template. I carefully cut out about 24 leaves from the felt, and strung them along the jute twine. The leaf garland hangs underneath my fireplace mantle all fall and it makes me smile every time I see it!

  16. Great idea! I need something quick and easy to make my home looked lived in. Working two jobs is not good for the home! I’m going to do this over the weekend! Thanks for a chance to win as well! bevwalks@aol.com

  17. I love the jars, especially with the beach rocks on the bottom. Looks like any color candles could work, so not only for Thanksgiving, but a great date night with the hubby, or evening dinner guests!

  18. Thanks for the fun idea–so cute. Can’t wait to dig around and see what I already have to recreate the look!

  19. Kimba is a DIY-genius! Love this. I will be on the lookout for some of that berries stuff…hopefully on clearance πŸ™‚ It’s so pretty and seems so versatile!

  20. I recently took back my end tables and coffee tables and have been looking for a few ways to fill them up…other than the play stations they were being used for over the last year! Thanks for the inspiration Kimba.

  21. What a beautiful but simple centerpiece. I bought a whole cardboard box of jars at a yard sale. I am gong to get my daughter together this weekend and we are going to make them together. Thank you for the idea.

  22. Love it! I’m using our leftover mini pumpkins through Thanksgiving, but this would be lovely for the winter!! Thanks!!

  23. Love this idea and the mason jars. I’m sure I have berries like that around the house, but the probability that they are poisonous is pretty high. πŸ™‚ And that my kids would eat them is higher. I’d better go for the styrofoam ones that have more fiber.

  24. Beautiful, as usual! How did you know that I was thinking “I don’t have a rectangular platter….or beach rocks… or mason jars…”?

  25. Kimba is THE BOMB. She is wonderful and her blog is wonderful. It would be hard to overstate how much I appreciate and admire this woman. Thank you for for featuring her here!
This is a beautiful centerpiece idea, by the way!

  26. What a great and simple idea. My favorite though is your tagline-love Jesus, spray paint and hot glue in that order! Hilarious.

  27. I just found a few mason jars and I shall have a beautiful centerpiece shortly! Thanks for the inspiration.

  28. Very cute! I’ll have to try this… I think I even have everything for it already. Thanks for the idea.

  29. I LOVE this! Makes me feel like I can actually do it…plus without a huge investment. I will be trying this!!

  30. Kimba, what a simple, beautiful arrangement! I’m going to grab a serving tray, some mason jars and snip of some branches to closely model a display after the one shared here. Thanks for reminding me of another use for the mason jars… mine NEVER end up being used for canning! It’s perfect for the season!

  31. What a gorgeous centerpiece! Looks inexpensive too! I think I’ll do it, and the switch the colours and use the same design for Christmas! ps, love that (in)courage necklace!

  32. I just did something very similar on my table…sorta freaked me out when I saw yours :o) I used vintage aqua ball jars, white votives with the stones and set them in a rectangular basket thing supposed to be used for storage on the back of a toilet…it works :o)

  33. I love the idea of using what you already have in your home. As my husband has recently lost his job, this is especially encouraging. You don’t have to spend money to make your home beautiful.

  34. I love mason jars. Can’t have enough of them! Such a great idea…I hadn’t thought of using my jars for candles, though! Thanks for the inspiration…..and I love Lisa Leonard too! Thanks Kimba!

  35. Oh Great! Now I’ll have another item to hunt for and collect – Mason Jars!:>) It’s so simple and yet warm with the reds. I’m thinking even after the holidays, this could be a fun decorating item for the table or island with different colors and themes. Thank you!

  36. I love an idea that uses things that are already found in the home. Thanks for the inspiration. Love it!

  37. I love the idea of using mason jars! I will certainly implement that in my Christmas decorating! Thanks!

  40. This is a great way to use things you have around the house a bring a splash of color into any room. How pretty would that be to look at while sitting in a nice hot bath…candles lit, good book and soft music and just some quiet time with God….oh how sweet…

  41. That’s a super idea – really pretty and easy, and easy to adapt for other holidays, too. πŸ™‚

  42. We just moved into a new city, new (to us) house and I’ve been needing something quick and easy to liven up the place while I slowly sludge through all these boxes. This is perfect! Thanks Kimba for the great ideas!

  43. What a beautiful, inexpensive way to make something gorgeous out of things I already have! Thank you for your constant inspiration.

  44. Great centerpiece idea! Looks simple enough to put together and I can think of additional ways to dress this up for other holidays.

  45. Yes!!! I can do that. I have all of those things and I think they yearn to be united. Thanks for the ideas – I’m trying to respect my hubby’s wishes for me to try out a little frugality this season. This works! πŸ™‚

  46. I love that I totally have everything. It is hard to decorate for Fall, since we hardly have that season, but I still want a little cozy inside, even if it is 80 degrees outside.

  47. What a cute idea! I have been looking for something to do with the extra jars from our wedding.

  48. What a great way to bring in the fall! I’m going to try to improvise and see what I can come up with!

  49. I thought that I posted a comment to enter for the jewelry but my message isn’t posted. Must not have been paying attention or I’m computer “challenged”. πŸ˜‰ This is a test to see if I got it right this time. Thank you for (in)courage!

  50. I love the centerpiece! I am hosting Thanksgiving for my side of the family for the very first time this year. And, they are driving from TN to TX to celebrate us! I can’t wait to replicate this centerpiece on each table to create a beautiful atmosphere for dinner.
