  1. Thank you for sharing this. It somewhat reflects my own life. How blessed we both are to find good, loving, understanding husbands. May I share this post with my daughter and her ex-husband? They share a 9-yr-old daughter and 6-yr-old son.

  2. Beverly sent me over….what a honest post…I related to it on many levels…I came from a divorced family and I myself am remarried -I had 2 children from a previous marriage…Thank you for sharing…

  3. Did you just pluck that story right out of my own head and life??? Almost identical. Not every piece, but much of it. Well said. Thank you.

  4. Oh, Andrea! Thank you for your honesty and transparency! And praise the Lord that we all can be forgiven!

  5. What a beautifully articulated testimony. How blessed we are to be forgiven and to be loved by God when we do the right things and when we do the ones that are not so right. He loves and likes us anyway. Boy did I relate too your story. Thank you for a truly encouraging word! God bless!

  6. What a fantastic article. I just wrote a letter to my biological father last night, one that I will never send but it made me feel better. My stepdad was my Daddy too. I just wrote about some of our life and his salvation before he died, last week on my blog. Thank you for sharing and being real here!

  7. Thank you for sharing your heart and the healing that our Father did for you. Oh to hear the words forgiven….thank you Jesus. Thank you for your obedience to share!

  8. I love how you said if you are willing, He is willing. Such true words. I struggle with being willing sometimes and He so patiently waits and reminds me my past is just that.
Your heart is so beautiful my friend.
I am so glad you have such a wonderful husband 🙂 You help show me what a Christian marriage is about.

  9. This is lovely my friend. I love that our “Dads” are there for us.
A great reminder that God knows everything about us and still loves us. I’m reminded of the line in Indescribable, where it states “you know the depths of my heart and you love me the same”. It’s true. God truly knows us the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. He still loves us. No matter what!

  10. I have been reading your articles during my lunch break, and I have to admit the whole article has been very valuable and very well written. I thought I would let you know that for some reason this blog does not view well in Internet Explorer 8. I wish Microsoft would stop changing their software.
