  1. BEAUTIFUL photos! WISH I was there! (And wish I had me some of that french toast right now!) But my heart is glad that all you deserving ladies had such a blessed time together in an amazing place. I know that as your hearts are filled you have more to spill out for all of us.

  2. Glad you all got to go and be together. you all bring such an inspiration to the rest of us who read your blog. Wonderful, beautiful and (in)couraging pictures of what friendship and being a Christian friend is all about. Thank you for sharing.

  3. This was beautiful, and lovely, and we can imagine ourselves in the pictures. We also were at the same time with Compassion Bloggers in Guatemala. For both trips there’s an element of sales. The beautiful pictures and sponsorship of Hilton Head advertize a place to go on vacation and the beautiful pictures and sponsorship of Guatemala (okay, a different kind of beautiful) advertize a way to help needy children with the love of Christ. It’s wonderful that both were happening at the same time, and that the bloggers at both events had each other in their hearts.

I live in Santa Barbara, CA which is a resort town too and has also our desperate poor. I’ve adopted a Guatemalan girl through Compassion and am considering a special purchase from DaySpring as a reminder to prayer…but I’m struggling with how day-to-day life here lines up with what God is doing everywhere. Keeping my house clean is a sort of step one challenge. Homeschooling my daughter in love to love God is a step two challenge. Reaching out to others in my Christian-college-faculty neighborhood is step three challenge. All the while I wonder about how to do the step four challenge of Jesus’ love outreach to the poor. I’m reading Radical, having seen it on my neighbor’s counter and grabbed it away although she’s in a book study on it every Thursday morning (promised to return it…)!

  4. Dear Dawn,

Thank you so much for sharing your time together through pictures. I’m so glad that you all had an opportunity to get together and just relax and just have fun. I want to thank all of you for the hard work and efforts you put into incourage. Then the commmunity. I have been blessed by both.

Lord please Bless these wonderful ladies in both their Sisterhood/Friendship in the Lord and may you give them all the Joy and peace in you and may they all grow in you both together and individually. Lord please give them peace beyond all understanding and meet them wherever their needs are Lord! Please continue to bless their ministry lord and let them know not just how much they Bless us Lord but also how they Bless you, i ask that you will put a hedge of protection around not only each of these women Lord, but also their families and keep them safe from all attacks of any kind from the enemy. Lord please give each and everyone of them both a restful and sound sleep tonight with beautiful restful dreams.
In jesus Precious holy name AMEN!

  5. I saw this yesterday and loved it. I don’t know why I didn’t leave you a message…LOL. I just love seeing and reading about all the women getting together, hanging out, and brainstorming. Even more, I drink it all in when you all share about the talks, getting deep, being transparent over this stay you had.

Praise God for all of you. Thank you Dawn.

  6. Thank you Dawn for your amazing photos – and story thorugh photos. Imagery can say it all sometimes! You have a wonderfully gifted eye for what is beautiful, captivating, motivating and heart-warming.
