We are excited to introduce the two fabulous ladies who will be joining us this week to discuss What Women Fear. Take a minute to get to know them, check out their Twitter, etc.
Chapter Two: Trisha Davis

Tell us about your family: I’ve been married to my husband Justin for 16 years. We have three awesome boys! Micah is 15 and just got his learners permit – PRAY FOR US! Elijah is 12 who I am convinced will head to Africa to become a missionary rather than college. Isaiah is our 8 year-old gentle giant. He’s only 8 but is the size of a 12 year-old and plans to play in the NBA. 🙂 Our family loves to watch movies, play sports, walk on trails and just hang out. Although our kids have felt the pain of our story of separation and near divorce, they have also experienced what it means when God makes beauty from ashes and for that we are grateful!
What type of fear you most struggle with: Giving my best, who I am at the very core of my being either not being enough or even worse being manipulated and abused.
What is your favorite book: I don’t have a favorite but a couple of books that have shaken my soul recently beyond Angie’s book are:
“Jesus, my Father, the CIA and Me” – Ian Morgan Cron’s
“All is grace” – Brennan Manning
Chapter Three: Heather Whittaker
Blog: NONE
Twitter: Whittakerwoman
Tell us about your family: Our family’s heartbeat is to live in a way where we see life fresh every day. That could look like driving across the country on a whim, sharing our life through viral videos or creating community every chance we get. We love to live life with bravery.
What type of fear you most struggle with: Honestly my biggest fear is of violent crime. Random. Yes. But through having my security in that broken as a child and a few other things, God has taught me that I need to let go and trust that he was there when he set the earth to spin and float. I was not.
What is your favorite book I really wanted a different answer, but the truth is… Redeeming Love.

Ms. Smizzle says
I think it is easy to fall into the “what if” trap. I pray that I can have the eyes of Christ to see the realities around me instead of allowing Satan to plant mind-game seeds. It seems like all he has to do is plant the seed and I am very good at feeding it and letting it grow. Praying to see things from God’s perspective helps me to focus on what is TRUE instead of a bunch of lies.
LOVE the part about desert-soils producing amazing fruit in our lives! Only God can make those soils fruitful to show His glory and not ours.

Great chapter and hit home with me in many aspects, but I love the prayer Angie closes the chapter with where she says, “…. I was worth you dreaming me up.” Wow. Such a perspective to maintain when we’re tempted to think so lowly of ourselves compared to how God sees us.
