BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel _strong, hopeful and excited.

  61. defeated, hope

I LOVE how God keeps putting pieces of this puzzle into my life – things I read, things I listen to, and now this. Even if I don’t win, I will definitely have to get this book. “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3

  62. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel DEFEATED. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel RENEWED.

  63. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel hopeless. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel empowered by knowing with Christ all things are possible.

  64. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel:

    defeated.
    unusable.
    unlovable.
like I am talking to the ceiling,
    unheard.
    unseen.

BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel:

    valued.
    loved,
    honored.
    important.
    worthy.

I needed this reminder of how I am in HIM today. Thank you, Renee.

    • Thank you Meredith!! I love all that you shared too. I love reading everyone’s comments. So good for us to see we are not alone. We are

  69. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel despair. When I read God’s promises: I feel ok, everything will be good

BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel covered by His grace because I’m reminded that it’s not me..it’s HIM working through me, all I have to do is submit.

  74. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel CRUSHED. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel BLESSED.

  75. I feel trapped/I feel empowered and embraced because it’s God’s power in and through me and He loves me enough to do those things!

  76. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel trapped in my emotions/circumstance. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel the freedom of Christ bringing victory to my life.

  77. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel inadequate. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel encouraged and empowered.

  78. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel defeated and hopeless. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel like trying again and soaring with wings.

  79. Growing up I lived with constant correction and criticism. I remember telling my parents something that happened during school, only to hear, “why did you say that, a good friend would have said it this way.” It crushed me to the point I would either not tell them anything, or lie to my parents and tell them what they wanted to hear. Even to this day I feel judged and like I have to defend my every move. I know in my heart I am a good wife, mother friend, employee etc. but those shadows of doubt constantly creep in.

  80. I feel flattened, trapped, helpless, and alone. Then I realize with God all things are possible. He knows every hair on my head. He hears my prayer, knows my every thought, and He loves me. I feel I am no longer alone, for He is with me.

  81. sad, discouraged, depressed, exhausted : sometimes hopeful, but sometimes like maybe I don’t have enough faith (maybe that’s the whole problem – I don’t know) – it’s been a long haul.

  82. You know what doubt whispers: Why did you think you could speak to all those ladies? You don’t have training like some of those others ladies…you are so stupid. You can’t get along with anyone, what if someone ask you a question and they decide to disagree with you, then what are you going to do. You should stay home and just write instead, not speak, you are putting attention on yourself instead of God and no one will listen to you. What are you going to say anyway? You need some new clothes and you are a mess. What if no one likes what you have to say? You are so selfish.
But when I read God’s promises: God, if you can use Gideon and he wasn’t trained. God, I need You to live through me and tell me what to say and do. God you said you would be my help and that all things work for good for those who love You and are called according to his purpose for them. You also said nothing was impossible with God. You are my strength. You promised never to live me. I don’t want to please people, just You, O Lord. I am not perfect, but You are. You get all honor and glory. You give all wisdom and knowledge. I love you. You are the One I trust. You are the one who leads me and it You who can give my heart courage. in Christ

  83. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel Let Down and Discouraged. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel God’s Presents.

  84. I often feel things in life are hopeless. I feel I need to condition myself to being unhappy and powerless. I do feel a sense of hope and encouragement when I read God’s word. The problem is that life gets me so down sometimes that I find it hard to become motivated. I have a hard time finding application specifically for me. I feel alone…

  85. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel ___”in-Sig-nIF-I-CAN’T”____.  BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel ___”Him-Powered”___.

  86. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel paralyzed and defeated. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel free to soar without the confines of my limits, but on the wings of the Lord and His sovereign and miraculous power.

  87. As a young mother of 9 children I struggle with feeling defeated but after reading Gods word I always feel hope. Btw -My baby’s middle name happens to be Isaiah <3

  88. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel victorious!

  89. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel worthless. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel hopeful.

  90. small, insignificant, unworthy

that I now, FINALLY know that it is only by the Grace of God that I AM able to do good things, I AM able to love myself

  91. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel lonely. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel hopeful.

  92. When I feel “helpless” because of physical limitations, I turn to Him, and His priorities and find that I now feel “useful” for HIS purposes. Not being able to do all the things I’ve always done, has freed me up to pursue Him, and to know that even these disabilities become abilities thru Him.

When doubt whispers my name, I turn around and praise HIS name!

  93. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel hopeless, discouraged, trapped and fear sets in. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel encouraged, empowered, and hopeful. I know God is working on my behalf even if I can’t see it.

  94. Oh, goodness, I feel helpless, hopeless, overwhelmed, defeated, like a failure…. But I remember that God has my back, and I don’t have to rely on my power, but on His…I feel empowered, hopeful, encouraged. I feel like WE CAN do this, instead of I CAN’T do this!

I would love to win a copy of A Confident Heart! 🙂

  95. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel like it doesn’t apply to me….like I’ve past the point of when things will change because it has been so long this way.

  96. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel small. But when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to My purpose.” “All things are possible to who believes” (Isaiah 43:19; Romans 8:28, Mark 9:23) I feel the arms of my heavenly Father wrapped around me. Small in comparison to Him, but big in my heart for the love that He has for me.

  97. “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel disappointed in myself. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel REFRESHED, LOVED, TRANSFORMED… the list could go on forever.

I am a work in progress, as we all are. I have been struggling with low self-esteem and lack of confidence my whole life. Renee’s book is helping so much to help me to uncover some of the reasons why. I am hopeful that I might finally overcome those feelings and be God-fident!!!

    Renee~
You have no idea how desperately I needed this reminder today!! The shadows of guilt that flooded my past have recently resurfaced & paralyzed me. Your message reminded me to turn from the shadows & look into the LIGHT!! The Light of Grace, Redemption, Forgiveness & all-consuming Love!
You’ve encouraged me so much & I thank you!!
    xoxo,
    Michelle

    • Amen Michelle!! You are redeemed, forgiven, and LOVED unconditionally. So thankful God spoke to your heart through this post today and reminded you of ALL that you are and all that you have in CHRIST!!

  105. These past two years have brought alot of angst in our family and also happiness. It has been overwhelming at times for me, but I have had to remember Phil 4:13. The song from Third Day – Cry Out to Jesus has also helped me too.
I am so glad that when things are good, GOD is in it, and when things are bad, GOD is in it too to get us through.

Praise GOD we serve a risen GOD and not a dead one.

  106. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel amazingly energized.

  107. I feel defeated even before I have begun. Then I feel enlivened by knowing {even if only for the moment} that I am filled with The Holy Spirit, I have died to self and it is Christ who lives in me. It is not me doing it afterall it is Him who lives in me.

  108. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel a burden of fear that can be paralyzing if I stay in that place too long. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel so encouraged; lifted; hopeful; thankful.
Thank you for this post. The shadow of doubt has been pressing in extra heavy in the past week or so. This was so uplifting.

  109. I am currently struggling with this very thing in my marriage. When doubt whispers, I feel like a failure to God.. empty.. heartbroken.. paralyzed.. the weight of it crushing my soul. When I read God’s promises, I feel like there is a glimmer of hope. But if you want honesty, doubt is still whispering: “What if I dont love God enough, What if I dont believe in Him enough.. Are those promises really for me? I know God is ABLE, but what if He chooses NOT to make something beautiful out of this mess? What if I dont see that beauty until Heaven? How long must I wait?”
I need to learn to truly trust in God and fully rest in His promises!

  110. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel defeated and paralyzed. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel empowered and passionate.

  111. I have been doing a lot of negative thinking lately and felt I couldn’t go on. Thanks so much for your book and the positive feed back I have been given reading it. I must admit I felt I was right in feeling that way but…I had to remember how would God look at this so I had to change my attitude. I now love my husband more (well not really love him more because he is the best) but love him more for what “I” thought he was doing wrong. It’s long story but our marriage is getting stronger every day now that I am looking at things differently. I have doubts just like everyone else and my marriage was one thing I was doubting but now I feel it getting stronger and stronger.

Many blessing to you and your ministry.

It definitely gives me peace to hold these verses in my heart.

  113. Not good enough as a pastors wife…rejection…such discouragement….BUT GOD….hope in Him….I am a new creation….more than a conqueror thru Christ…. I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength…labor is not in vain….

  114. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel completely defeated and useless. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel like I still have a chance; I still have HOPE.

  115. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel defeated. 116. What if i fail? God says…I WILL GIVE YOU VICTORY !
BUT, I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. (2 Cor. 2:14 HE)

THEY TOLD MY HUSBAND I MIGHT NOT EVER COME OUT OF IT. IT WAS AWFUL TO KNOW THAT I HAD LOST MY MIND. THAT I HAD A MENTAL ILLNESS . IT HAPPENED EVERY FEW YEARS MY COFIDENCE WAS GONE. I FOUGHT HARD FOR A STABLE MIND. THEN I FOUND THE SCRIPTURE IN TIMONTHY . I HAVE NOT GIVEN YOU THE SPIRIT OF FEAR BUT PEACE AND A SOUND MIND. I GRABBED A HOLD OF IT MY HUSBAND GRABBED IT AND STARTED PRAYING IT OVER ME. LAST YEAR I READ CONFIDENT HEART AND IT LIFTED ME UP SO MUCH. I PRAISE GOD FOR HIS WORD. I HAVE A SOUND MIND. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel ___grateful for a God whose love washes away the ugliness of selfish being and excited that He desires to be with me, for me and _willing to make me new!!!!_____________.

I feel STRONG.

  129. When doubt whispers……I feel “useless”/ good for nothing…

But when I read God’s promises:…. I feel I am wonderfully created by God and able to do what He wants me to do with His help and guidance…..

    Thank you for encouragements!

  130. I have panic attacks. Hard to breathe. Hard to gain my train of thought. I am finding if I will just STOP and take a few deep breaths and pray that God truly does lead the way. I pray for the confidence I need that I know God can help me through. I am not used to praying for myself but God is with me 24/7 and this really works. God is so good. I am beginning to believe that I can do so much more by relying on the strength of God.

  141. I would say about a month ago, I told the Lord I was tired of ‘eating’ corn husks. I accepted Christ into my life November 3rd, 1974. The only reason I remember is because I was given my own personal Bible the same day and I wrote the date in it. (I still have that same Bible, even though it is slowly falling apart. It has been my “road map” since accepting Christ. For me, it has been a ‘long’ journey of 37 years to finally get to where I am today. When these current of events started happening…this change from corn husks, I had decided to find something that would give me a Scriputre in my email each morning, as that would be the only way I would get some sort of nourishment for my day. I subscribed to Proverbs 31 Ministries and Girlfriends in God. Ever since I told the Lord that I was “sick and tired” of being “sick and tired” and I was tired of “eating” corn husks”, nothing has been the same! Proverbs 31 Ministiries as been part of that change in the respect that God has been talking to me “spiritually” since I made my final choice and decison, not to eat Corn Husks anymore. I have “actually” come to the “freedom” of “Here I am Lord, take me I am yours, use me in and for your Will, wherever and for whatever”. Nothing is holding me back…no family, no children, and especially “No husband”. I have always had this fear inside myself to completely give myself to the Lord for fear of “where” He would send me, “where” He would expect me to go”…I no longer have that fear….I am “willing”. I don’t even know what my whole point is in telling you this or sharing it with you….only to say God has spoken to me so much through the Proverbs Ministry. Every scripture I have gotten has spoken to me and to a particuar situation I was experiencing. I have missed for so long God speaking to me. In fact it was so much in the beginning, that I could not take it all in and finally had to say..”Lord, help me to settle down and be at Peace and to be able to take what I need and or the portion that I needed for the day.” I remember eating (not literally) reading God’s Word that I got to a point where I was actually getting sick because I could not take it all in, even though it was so good….and God gave me this scripture (which made me chuckle and laugh)…(Pro 25:16) Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
God certainly has a sense of humor. But I guess I just wanted to share the “good” with you today that God has given and the Proverb’s 31 has been part of who He has worked through. He gave me another message today through Proverb’s 31 for a friend who is anxiously waiting on test results for her son. This Monday was the second delay to the results. Our church is praying and Believing God for His Miracle in healing her son. Love you guy’s…love your minisrty….and I LOVE The Lord! Blessings in Christ…Diane

THANK YOU for this post, it really touched my heart. This is the second time today I’ve read about how thoughts of doubt can destroy who I am in Christ.

I know that if God brings me to something, He WILL bring me through it no matter what. Alone I am lost and afraid, but with God I am strong, capable, and safe. Every day is a challenge for me, but God always helps me through each one. Even in my darkest moments, God has always been with me.

  160. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel DEFEATED. That I know that I know God goes before me; he is my rearguard. Even if I do fail, He will never leave me!

  163. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel discouraged. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel encouraged and hopeful.

  164. No woman should be without “A Confident Heart”. It should go with her everywhere. This book changed my life, helped me in my walk with Christ and gave me the confidence I needed! You could read it 100 times and get something new out of it everytime.

  165. Thanks so much for sharing your worries and fears.. sometimes we forget that others go through similar things. I needed to hear this today.. Thanks…

  166. Very insecure, frustrated, low self esteem
My heart feels full of Christ’s love. I feel very safe, secure, confident, and peaceful.

  167. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” feel small and insignificant. Defeated. Alone and utterly afraid.

  170. defeated/empowered. <==that's a huge difference

This is a great book and it has helped me so much. I really thought these thoughts only happened to me. This is the second time in the Bible Study. I admit that this time I'm not following along as much because I'm living life now and I trust God more and am leaving the house more.

I am also aware now about the thoughts of doubts trying to damage my faith.

    I love you Renee.
Thank You for writing this book .

    much love,
    June

  171. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel like I have failed yet again like every other time. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel empowered, heard, and treasured.

Thanks Renee for sharing your heart so openly. It reminds me of His word in Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

    Blessings to you.

  173. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel as if my past tries to keep me in bondage to the lies I felt because of the actions of those that as I child you are told your should trust. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel the bondage of my past being released knowing that I can do all things through the gift I was given by Jesus Christ when he gave us all the ultimate gift of salvation with his death on the cross for all mankind.

  174. Overwhelmed; Safer. I love the allegory of the shadow of doubt. It will be the picture I see in my mind from now on when I start doubting God’s plan for my life. Thank you

  175. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel hopeless. 177. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel frustrated. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel comforted.

  179. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel very depressed and begin cycling down a long tunnel of depression. I know the “right” answer is hope…but so far I only hear whispers of hope…but a whisper is a beautiful and loud thing when you know that in the past…there wasn’t even a whisper.

    • Keep listening and soaking in His promises Beth!! A whisper is a beautiful thing when its’ from God’s heart to yours. The more you listen to Him and read His words in the Bible, the more familiar and hope-giving His whispers will become!

  183. ….I feel like I don’t matter. But when I read and focus on God’s promises, I feel secure and loved. He is my everything, and I am learning how to make the number one love relationship in my life to be with Jesus. AMEN!

Back home now, having served with my pastor husband on staff of my home church and in women’s ministry, my husband and I have just stepped away for various reasons. My heart is truly aching in the dark and I am clinging with all my might, though feeling very weak. I have experienced so many times God’s love and His working out of impossible things for my good and His glory. I wonder who I am supposed to be now. Thanks for encouraging me today.

  272. This phase really hit me between the eyes, “Yet, doubt and hope cannot live in our hearts at the same time. As God’s girls, we need to know and believe that change is possible.”
Some of my doubt had me believing they were “healthy doubts” and that they could live with the others. It seems the past few years I have been having my “comfort zones” replaced with God’s peace. He still hasn’t gotten into all of them, but I am seeing a change coming on in my “doubt life”.
I read the entire 6 chapter last night. I just wanted more. So, here I am at Starbucks after dropping my son off for school and before my class at 11 to get more. Thanks you for this online study.

  273. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel trapped, discouraged and helpless. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel empowered, encouraged and blessed way beyond what I deserve. Isn’t God good like that?

  274. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel very small and powerless. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel His powerful spirit within me doing a work that I cannot imagine.

  275. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel broken, worthless, defeated, alone, lifeless, doubtful, like I can’t breathe. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel like I can breathe a little bit more and that it’s ok to let go of everything that I am holding on to so tight and just trust in God, because He knows what He’s doing with my life and the ones that I love so dearly!

  276. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel STRONG (and LOVED, AND FREE AND VICTORIOUS over the devil)!!

  277. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel like I’m not living up to my potential, to the gifts God gave me. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel like I can recognize that “voice” you talk about as not my own. Like it’s literally coming from a different place, and I wonder why I can’t recognize that as not being from God when I initially hear it. That verse is so uplifting! I’m going to put it on the fridge right now…

  278. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel HOPELESS AND HELPLESS. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel EMBOLDENED TO SIMPLY TRUST AND FOLLOW THE LORD.

  279. I feel all the negative things that everyone has mentioned, then hope begins to come alive in me, but doubt is so strong in me that it quickly drowns out the hope that i begin to feel. I wish that i could feel the joy i once felt years ago, seems like the harder i try the further i get. That doesn’t make sense, I know. Feel absolutely alone.

  280. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel unworthy. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel empowered and humbled and LOVED.

  281. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel failure. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel free.

  282. When doubt whispers, I feel: discouraged, alone, easily replaced, not worth it, like a failure, not loved, frustrated…

But when I read God’s promises, I feel: blessed, known, loved, valuable, hopeful, accepted, secure, significant…

  283. I hope this is still available – you didn’t list an ending date for the giveaway.

When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel small. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel empowered and comforted.

  284. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel so depressed and defeated. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel a peace that God is really in control and I need to release the situation to Him and let Him work through me.

  285. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel scared. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel _encouraged.

  286. I apologize for the comment i left earlier today. I was suppose to post something encouraging. Instead I did the opposite. I suppose I was reaching out but God is good and He is always on time. His words are encouraging and powerful and true. They’ll stand no matter what. God’s promises are full of hope and He’ll give us the victory if we hold onto them. Renee, you always remind me of how God can give me the confidence I need and how the enemy really tries to make me believe that the doubt in my mind are my own thoughts. Thank you, Renee, for your God inspired words.

  287. defeated 1st , then ~ Victorious AND Hopeful! Thank God for the women of the Body of Christ on the internet… such encouragement and hope on days when sometimes one may be feeling the first…. then just in time, the Lord has us open a book, or read a short devotional, or pray, or call someone to encourage them & believe with and for them… and then slowly but surely, He opens up the springs of His waters and we are filled with new Life and new Hope and are re-assured of the Victory!

  288. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel defeated, dejected, inferior, unworthy. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel purposeful.

  289. When doubt whispers: “I can’t do this. Things will never change. I’m not good enough” I feel like it true. I feel defeated before I even try. I’ve had a dream for the last 17 years now which I have been too afraid to pursue for these exact thoughts are what freeze me in my steps even though I have so many people supporting my dream and edging me on. My thoughts are my downfall. BUT when I read God’s promises: “See, I am doing a new thing!” “I am working all things together for good, because you love me and are called according to my purpose.” “All things are possible to {her} who believes” (Isa. 43:19; Rom. 8:28; Mark 9:23) I feel like the last 17 years have not been in vain. God has been using this time to mold me and grow me according to His will so when I do take that initial step I will do so as the woman He had created me to be. I know I have grown leaps and bounds in these last 17 years and a work I would endeavor on now would be much more pleasing to Him than anything I would have labored on my own before I walked following Him. I feel like my dream is not only possible but going to happen in His God given time and for His God given purposes.

  299. I feel sad BUT with God, I feel loved. I can crawl up in His lap and let Him hug me ….and put His arms around me and surround me with His Love. As long as I feel loved by Him, I feel – no I know – I am fine !

I’m not good enough” I feel very discouraged ~ I feel as if I have failed everyone ~ I feel my best was not good enough ~ I feel VERY discombobulated. But when I read God’s promises that says….. I can do all things(not some things) but ALL things ~ Phil 4:13 or Behold I will do a new thing(not maybe) but WILL do a new thing ~ Isaiah 43:19 or ALL things(not some things) but ALL things work together for good to those who love God ~ Romans 8:28 and ALL things are possible(not some things are possible) but ALL things to him that believes ~ Mark 9:23. My spirits are once again lifted and I feel as if I can conquer ANYTHING.

  314. Thank you for sharing your hearts, some of your stories and your very vulnerable emotions. I’m praying for each of you tonight. In asking this question my desire was for us to see the contrast of how we feel when we hear doubt’s whispers and our thoughts listen to them — verses how we feel when we read God’s promises and our hearts listen to HIM instead. Isn’t it amazing?? Oh the power of life-changing perspective of God’s promises!! What security is ours when we actively choose to live in HIM and what HE says and believes about us. Praying we will. {Blessings and prayers! I have loved being here with you this week!}
