Almost three years ago we opened wide the door of this online beach house called (in)courage.
We invited you to come in, put your sandy feet on the coffee table, talk late into the night with your friends and listen for God’s voice in return.
And it was beautiful.
Yet as time went on, we realized it simply wasn’t enough.
We wanted a way to also be in your lives, your real life.
Not that online isn’t real but it is different. And we wanted a way to also hug your neck, hear your laugh, wipe that tear away and pass the chocolate. We wanted to be able to say, “Cute shirt!” and hear your accent or watch that crease in your brow take shape when you talk about the hard day you had this week.
We wanted to connect in the face-to-face, the day-to-day.
And we wanted a way to connect you to each other more too.
Jesus is “the Word made flesh” and there’s something powerful about stepping out of the spiritual and into the tangible too. It’s what He did. And it’s what we wanted to do too.
Especially Lisa-Jo. She has carried the (in)RL vision the way a mama carries a baby. Pregnant with promise. Faithfully laboring with the (in)courage team.
It’s time for you to join us today for the opening sessions – A Community Keynote, Sara’s Story and our silly behind-the-scenes blooper reel. Then it’s time tomorrow to slip on your favorite shoes, slide out the door and find your way to a local meet-up. It’s time for coffee shops, church fellowships, living rooms and more.
It’s time for us to see each other not just with with our hearts but with our eyes too.
It’s time to hug and laugh and connect and be together.
Will you join us? It’s not too late. You can register here. Then just find a local meet-up here or curl up on your sofa with a cup of tea and tune in with us.
We invited you in on the first day to this place online.
And we’re inviting you again because it’s not the same without you.
You are (in)courage…always have been, always will be.
And we love you.
Now go love on each other too.

This is definitely a little off topic, but I was wondering if (in)courage is still doing monthly desktop calendars. I LOVED them! And maybe I’m just missing them now?
LJ says
Yup, just click the “calendar” tab in the top navigation menu.

I totally missed this info until this morning!! How awesome! I soo wish that I could join you all. I think God is using this as a test for me this morning. I got so excited when I saw that you guys had this going on this weekend and then realized that I don’t have any money to even register. Could I borrow it from a friend….sure….but we are in need of other things right now so it was definitely a test and I hope I passed. I will be praying for you as you all come together. I will be there in spirit π
Again….what an awesome way to bring women together in Christ!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the videos this morning! I was almost late for work as I was engrossed in hearing Sara’s story. But it was well worth it. Her story touched my heart. I am in the process of writing a book about lessons learned from the dying and so this one was special to hear. I’ve sat beside many a dying patient as I worked for 25 years as a cardiovascular nurse specialist. I kept notes on the lessons I learned from each one.
I look forward to the other sessions. What a blessing to be able to access this conference online. And I love getting to see and hear many of my favorite bloggers!
Blessings and love,
Debbie

A huge round of applause to the inCourage team you ladies are a true blessing and an amazing encouragement for millions of us. I live in Las Vegas (Yes Sin City) ladies here are so reserved and not very in to community so I am often discouraged but am not determined more than ever to carry on to keep trying to keep reaching out and opening my home to women all over the valley thank you for all you do day after beautiful day for being REAL and sharing your hearts with the world!!! The words “thank you” for (in)RL are so inadequate. Even though I ended up watching the videos alone at home, I felt so apart of the Community of Christ. Bless you all for all you’ve done and shared. Thank you for being real and encouraging me to be vulnerable and real – exactly who Jesus made me to be.
Courtney F. says
Thank you to incourage for an amazing opportunity, to come together in real life, to experience community… to just BE. So glad that your God-sized dream was realized because it has brought so many women together, online and in real life. Today was wonderful!
