  1. On Wednesday, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who was born still. I am completely broken and empty. I ache to hold him one more time, and to nurse him at my breast. Instead, I’m left bleeding and I feel but shell of who I was just a week ago.

    • Laura, There are no words I can say to you to take away your heartache, but I will pray for you and pray that your sweet heavenly Father will wrap His arms around you and carry you, just as He is carrying your precious baby boy right now. God bless you, and comfort you in your time of loss. I will tell you that I know how He can carry you, as I lost my sweet husband in September. He is able. Rest in His arms.

    • Laura – I’ve been there. We lost a beautiful baby girl the same way. It will feel awful for a while, I can’t pretend otherwise, but Jesus never leaves us no matter how big of a hurricane we’re in. It will get better. You will find grace, and God will give comfort. Cling to the Lord, and to your family and friends.

    • Oh Laura, sweet Laura, I send you biggest *Hugs*… I will pray for you daily. My heart runs tears for you …we share the same date. My sweet Isaiah Matthew was born sleeping, 5 yrs ago Oct 10th. We can’t ask God why, just trust Him, He loves you.. His heart breaks with yours….. Rest in His love & peace in this time.
If you would like to connect, I would love to be a loving ear who shares the same grief . I would love to encourage you through the healing. (cleanwell.livewell@yahoo.ca)
*Hugs* & prayers my dear sister in Christ.

    • (((((Laura)))))

I am so sorry for your loss.

Tears for you and praying that you will feel the comfort and peace of Jesus today.
He knows your grief and hears your cries. Rest in Him today.

    • Laura,

I can’t imagine what you’re going through now–words would be superflous. Know that I am praying for you.

Oh precious Lord–Hold Laura in your arms–hug her and let her feel your arms around her. Give her comfort in this terrible time of grief.

    • Dear, Dear Laura!
I am praying for you! I ache for you and have tears in my eyes.
Remember, “Jesus wept” – John 11:35
He understands and does not hesitate to cry with and for you!

In the years to come may God use your very hard experience to be able to comfort others with the comfort you will have received.
      Praying!
      BIG HUG,
      Sarah

    • Dear, dear Laura,
I am so, so sorry for your unspeakable loss. My heart goes out to you. I also gave birth to a baby who had just a few heartbeats before going to her heavenly home. Although that has been many years ago now, I will never forget the emptiness and my aching arms that yearned to hold my baby. I wrote a book with my sister called Good Mourning; the revised version is Silent Cradle: Help and Understanding in Time of Pregnancy Loss. It’s out of print and I have no extra copies, but it can sometimes be found on the internet. Do know I will continue to lift you up in prayer.

    • My heart goes out to you this morning. What a huge loss after months of
anticipation. May GOD be your comfort and strength in the midst of these
      circumstances. Continuing prayers.

    • Laura,
I cannot even fathom how you must feel right now. I pray our Loving Father wraps His arms around you and brings you comfort. You and your family are in my prayers.

    • Hi Laura,
I am praying that you will soon be strong enough to try again. Don’t be like my kids when they tried to walk at 9 months and quit trying because they fell down. They finally learned to walk at 14 months. God is good and you will have a family.

    • Lord, I pray that you will blanket Laura in your grace while she mourns. I can’t imagine her pain, but you can. Your word says, “blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.” Hold Laura in your love, just as you hold her little boy. Give her your peace that passes all understanding and uphold her by the power of your righteous right hand. Amen

    • Laura, I’m so very, very sorry for your loss. There are no words to describe this kind of grief and no words that can comfort. I will be keeping you in my prayers and know that many care for you.

    • Dear Laura, Your pain is overwhelming and I sympathize with you, as I too have lost a child and no words can make the sorrow and suffering cease. God does keep His promises and I pray He will restore you, protect you and love you through this incredibly difficult time. Praying for you.

    • Laura,

I”m really sorry to hear of your loss. Though I’ve never had a baby, I am a godmother and my heart aches to hear your pain. I pray that time, prayers, God, and renewed hopes will help ease yor loss.

      • Laura, may The Lord comfort you and grant you peace, also the grace to fix your eyes on Him knowing He knows what you are going through and cares deeply for you. Will remember you in prayers.

    • Laura, I am so sorry… I read your comment here and just groaned inside… I can only imagine the depth of your loss…. Father, right now, would you make your nearness real and tangible to Laura? Comfort her heart like only you can… and give her grace to be honest before you as she grieves and aches over her sweet son.

Molly Piper gave birth to a daughter who was still born several years ago and she wrote this series… How to Help your Grieving Friend. Through my losses (no still births, but other very great losses – they are written out at my blog if you’re interested), this series has been incredibly helpful and even healing to me and I’ve even shared it with some of my close friends in an effort to help them understand how to help me. Here’s a link to her series if you’d like to check it out: http://mollypiper.com/how-to-help-your-grieving-friend-the-series/

      • Laura, I am so sorry, I pray our sweet Precious Holy Spirit wrap His arms around you love, and comfort you as only He can. May He give you peace and rest on every side and fill the empty void in your heart.

    • Laura,
My heart goes out to you. I know that the Lord knows how much you are hurting and He will bring beauty from ashes. I am asking that God will minister to your broken heart that the Holy Spirit will comfort you in your great sorrow. Zephaniah 3:17.
      Harlene

    • Dear Laura,
My heart breaks for you in the loss of your baby boy. My son and his wife lost a baby boy, Ethan, 6 years ago. My daughter saw her doctor on Friday and everything was going great. The doctor told her if she had not delivered by the next Wed. He would induce labor. Sometime over that weekend my little grandson went to heaven. It was a very difficult time for the whole family but God was so faithful to remind us, just like those that have already written, that He hears your crying heart and sees your tears that don’t seem to stop. God’s desire is to comfort you so I would encourage you to allow others to be Jesus to you. Allow them to come along side you with prayers, food, run errands, help make decisions, whatever they offer in love. Healing will come over time and you will know joy again. When you feel you are ready, look for a way to remember your little son. My son and family, every year on the date of Ethan’s going to heaven, he, his wife, and three other children release balloons into the sky with messages for Ethan. Whatever you do make it your own as a way of not forgetting, yet acknowledging God’s love for you and your family.
My love and prayers are with you, Sweetie!

    • Laura,
I am so sorry this happened. I pray for the Lord Jesus to be with you and to comfort you as only he can. Holding you close and reassuring you. Realize that you will grieve and this is normal. It doesn’t matter if your child was only just born or if the child were fully grown you still grieve for that precious life. I will be praying for you and your husband.
      God Bless,
      Judy
      I Thessalonians 4:13

    • Dear Laura
Only Jesus can hold you in his arms and comfort you, but the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and He dwells in your heart, and you have hope, hope, hope, because in Christ we know that one day in eternity we will see our love ones . You are under His wings.

    • Laura,
I am so sorry for your loss. You are a beloved child of God and he will wrap his arms around you and carry you through your sorrow. I pray that you have peace and comfort.
      Sincerely,
      Susan

    • Laura, I pray for you as you mourn the loss of your baby. Lean on the Lord in your grief. Even if it is anger. My daughter was in critical condition for 3 weeks when she was born. I was very blessed that she did recover, but my anger at God was quite intense. I began to turn away from him not understanding how such a gift could be so painfully torn away. One day in the church chapel I just began screaming! And I could feel his loving arm around me, encouraging me to scream at him more. He wants us to talk to him and share every emotion.

It is quite ironic that one of our team members prepares to have one of her foster children, who she was in the process of adopting, move into another home because of circumstances beyond her control. Kim Galgano, speaker and author of Chicks with Choices, wrote a blog for her today. It is oddly appropriate for you today. I encourage you to read it. http://chickswithchoices.com/blog/how-to-choose-god-when-suffering/

  2. Laura I will pray for you! I am sorry for your loss. I have no words of comfort for you and I’m sorry. God will hold you right now, He has not left you.

I need prayers also to help me get through the loss of my Aunt. She was more of a Mom to me than an Aunt and I miss her terribly. She was 76 and was frail but I want her here. I’m selfish. The blessing I found in her passing was that about an hour before she died a conversation came up that told me she had been baptized many many years ago. That was something I had always worried about but never knew about so God gave me peace as she was dying and I was able to sigh a breath of relief in knowing I will see her again. But it still hurts that I can’t just pick up the phone and call her!

    • Lisa, I pray that our Heavenly Father will comfort you and that you will feel His arms around you. I know it is very difficult to lose someone you love, but take heart. You know that you will be together again one day. I know that your heart is broken, but God can heal our broken hearts. He is healing mine right now.

    • Lisa,

Praying for you now. It is never easy to lose family members–especially ones we are close to.

Lord–help Lisa and the family deal with the grief of losing her Aunt. Let them feel your arms around them and give them a sense of peace.

    • Lisa,
I know how you feel. My last aunt died unexpectedly at age 94 in September. I had called the hospital to see if she was okay that morning because I had a dream
that she had died. The nurse said she was doing well. She died that night. My other aunt who was over 100 died 8 years ago. I had just moved back from TX and it was Thanksgiving when she became ill. I thought of going down for the holiday with her, but didn’t and she died before I could see her. Maybe my aunts and your aunt are all up in heaven getting to know each other now.

    • Laura I am praying for you. I know that things seem really hard. I bet you feel like you will never be the same again but you will Gods Grace will carry you through this difficult time right now. He feels your pain he lost his child too. Lean on him he has something big planded for you I know. Hugs Miranda

  3. Lisa, I’m so sorry to learn of your aunts passing. Saying goodbye to our family is never easy, whether expected or not. I will pray for peace and comfort for you today.

Please pray for wisdom for my husband and I as we raise our five month old daughter. We are new parents and want more than anything to be led by the Holy Spirit and not the world. Our sweet baby had colic, has reflux and is now having some sleep issues so prayers for relief for her are also appreciated!

    • Brittnie, I will pray for wisdom for you and your husband as you are beginning such a wonderful journey with your daughter! You are certainly on the right track for God to give you all the wisdom you need, since you have already decided to be led by the Holy Spirit! And take heart, knowing that the days of reflux and colic are numbered! I went through the same thing, and it does not last! God bless you and your husband as you raise a Godly child.

    • Brittnie – I’m just a few months ahead of you in that journey (my sweet girl turned 7 months today). The colic, reflux, and sleep issues are difficult. I’m learning, daily, to choose joy even when life feels upside down or fatigue wants to rule me. God hears your heart and will answer in ways you would have never imagined as long as you keep seeking him. I say this because that is what I’m seeing in my own life.

    • Hey sweet Brittnie – I know that journey!! Our little guy is 2 now (praise GOD!) but the first year of his life was really, REALLY hard. Bad reflux and HORRIBLE sleep issues. I’d never wish that road on ANYone. Anyway…. all of that to say… I hurt for you as I read this. I know how it is to be SO THANKFUL for your sweet kiddo and SO DESPERATE for rest too. Praying for grace and wisdom for you and your hubby right now…. healing for your daughter’s reflux…. and supernatural REST for YOU, Mama!!

Grace, grace, grace!! That season felt to me like it would NEVER end… but it DOES get better!! I promise…. He is more than enough.

  4. Oh, Laura. My heart learched as I read your post. Your arms are empty but Jesus holds your sweet wee baby for you. May this reality help comfort you as you grieve. You are riding troubled waters and I will be praying and trusting our Heavenly Father to carrying you through.
Brittnee – praying for you and your hubs to have wise and discerning hearts as you raise the baby in the ways of the Lord. Parenting is hard … but wonderful! Praying for relief for little girl’s relief from colic, reflux and for her (and you!) to sleep well.

It is a privilege to pray for both of these precious new mommies.♡

  5. Oops.. forgot to ask for prayer for my 34 year old son who walked away from the Lord 10 years ago. Please pray for his return. Thank you from the bottom of this mother’s heart

  6. Mary…I am praying for your son…praying that the Lord breaks his heart so that he sees his need for Jesus. Praying for your heart, too.

Please pray for our twins that we are adopting. They are due in February here in the US. Pray for their protection and safety. Pray that they would grow strong and big in their brith mom’s womb. Thank you.

    • How precious are the prayers of the saints! Thank you, Sue. I am praying for your twins too! And for the woman who is carrying them for you and your husband. God is at work!

      • My husband and I are in the process of adopting also! Praying for grace over this entire process, and that your sweet lil’ ones would grow big and strong and healthy! Congrats in advance to you guys!

  7. Sue, praying for you and your kids-to-be! Praying for safety, good health, a smooth delivery (from their birth mom to you), and peace along the way.

Please pray for my Grandma. She’s 90, and she had surgery to remove a small tumor in July. They’re pretty sure they got it all out… but she’s had an overload of medical problems since then. She’s been on long rounds of antibiotics, had so many tests, and even just had a 3 day hospital stay, trying to figure out what’s going on. So far nothing serious, but it’s really discouraging/frustrating her. Also keep my Grandpa & my Mom in prayer as they try to be strong for her.

P.S. Can I ask a second quick request? I’m in the process of considering publication for a nonfiction book… and I desperately need wisdom & clear direction from God, right now especially!!

    Thanks!

    • Praying for your grandmother and your family as well. Also I will be praying for God’s wisdom and guidance for you as you determine which way to go with your publication. God will guide your every step. The hardest part is to sit, wait and listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

    • Praying for your grandmother and her health. I pray God will guide the doctor’s hands and give them wisdom in her treatment. I pray that she and your family will stay strong, and lean on the Lord for that strength. I pray also that God give you the wisdom and direction you seek in your upcoming publication. I pray that you continue to turn to the Lord for your wisdom and guidance.

    • Elizabeth, praying for your family and healing over all, that they would be lifted up in strength and hope. Also praying for discernment for you with regard to your book. I’ve published two non-fictions and two fictions, and know that with the non-fictions it was a scary concept of whether or not to “put myself out there.” ~ Cindi

    • Praying for you, Elizabeth and your family!
“Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually. Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth, O seed of Israel His servant, Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!”
      [1 Chronicles 16:11-13]
      Love,
      Sarah

  8. Please pray that my personal situation begin to improve. Things have been very hard as of late, and I’m struggling to completely give it over to God. I have always struggled in this area, but especially now.

    • I am agreeing in prayer with Michelle (below), knowing that God has His very best in mind for you, Kelly!

  9. Kelly I pray that God would help you release your worry about your situation and fill you with His presence and love… that He is in control and has good plans for you. He will provide and your faith will be strengthened.
I have a Thanksgiving to report. In less than 2 weeks I will be re-united with my husband who is coming home from trainings and deployment. After being separated since Jan, it will be wonderful to have him home for good. Praise God, safe and sound!

  10. Michelle I pray for your husband wherever he is and I pray you might be bound together in Christ. May your reunion be all the sweeter because of the time apart.
Please pray for my time ahead. This is a very crucial year with lots of life altering choices to make. I jus pray I will be in the centre of God’s will.

  11. Michelle- YAY!!! I will pray for his continued safety! Please thank him for his service for me.

Laura- I pray for healing for you and your family. Everyone else? Done!

My request is for friends. Seems silly after reading all of the other requests! My husband works long hours, we live far away from family and the loneliness is becoming unbearable. Thank you

    • Laura, you are in my prayers. The love and comfort of friendship is so nourishing. I pray you find this soon. I will continue to pray for you.

      • Laura,
Your prayer request isn’t silly at all. Loneliness can be so devastating. I pray that you will be blessed with friends…..friends that accept you unconditionally and encourage you in your spiritual journey.

  12. Nana,I pray our dear Lord to give you strength and peace during your grieving for the loss of your husband. My husband died 3 years ago. Do not listen to others tell you how to grieve. you do what’s right or you.
Michelle , praise. God for sure for returning your husband to you.

    • Thank you, Sarita. Our Father is giving our family strength and peace that we never thought possible. It hasn’t been a month yet, but in some ways it seems like a long time. He was so much at peace with his illness, and that helped us to be at peace, too. He was such a wonderful Christian man, and his death has left a big hole. I can rejoice for him, however, because I know he is happy and well, and that one day we will be together again.

  13. I feel like we are on a roller coaster and I want to get off. I’m not sure why we end up at this point. Only a miracle of gigantic proportion can save us. Again my husband has no job going on 5 weeks. Yes God provides creatively but I’m so ready for stability in his employment. 4 kids and the oldest should be a sophomore in college but we can’t send her. End of my rope.

    • Kim, I am praying that God blesses you and your family in abundance financially! That your husband receives a job that pays in excess of what you are needing and that He provides a way for your daughter to attend college debt free!! We serve an AWESOME God and He is able to do anything! Believing that your blessing is on it’s way!

I could also use prayer for financial breakthrough! Believing that it is right around the corner!

    • Kim, I pray that you and your family are able to be continuously gracious and grateful for the “creative ways” that God has and is providing for you, but also that he blesses you in such a way that you and your family can rest easy and step out of this burdensome time of financial instability. That he gives your husband the strength to continue his job search and that his resume falls into the right hands or onto the right desk quickly, and that your family is provided with the emotional support needed to make it through this difficult time.
I also wish to pray for your oldest daughter. That she is able to see the blessings of God in her life, and that he provide the means and directs her steps and desires towards whatever people, jobs, tasks, and manners of learning that are within His beautiful future for her.

  14. Michelle, praising God with you! Thank you and your husband for sacrifice. My prayer request is first for comfort this upcoming week. Today is the one year anniversary of my daddy going into the hospital for the last time. He passed away just 8 days later. It is going to be a long hard week. But I also ask for wisdom and guidance in helping my daughter and my nieces walk through this week. They have been struggling all month with this and my heart breaks for their pain. I just want to know how to help them.

    • Praying for you, Shelly. I understand your pain. My husband went to be with the Lord on 10/14/11. We will never completely understand it all this side of heaven, but God’s timing is perfect, and we know as believers we will see our loved ones again. I pray you and your family rest in that promise.

      • Betsy, I am praying for you, as you approach the anniversary of your husband’s passing. I lost my sweet husband less than a month ago. You are so right when you say that God’s timing is perfect. I know for certain that we will be together one day again. I thank God that our children understand and believe that as well. I feel so blessed to have had such a Godly husband, although I miss him terribly. God is so good, and His grace is sufficient.

  15. Michelle, what a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I’ll be praying for you and your husband as you re-unite after many months apart! Military families are my heros! I know it has to be so difficult on both of you for being apart so often! Praying for both of you while he is away and when you are finally together! Continued prayers for God to always watch over both of you…..and always a safe return home!

Please pray for my marriage. My husband and I have been married for 11 years and we have a 5 year old boy. I don’t feel like we’ve ever had a “good and happy” marriage and things seem to always be difficult between us. We don’t come together on parenting and don’t ever connect with each other anymore. I feel so helpless and hurt than we don’t have a happy marriage. Thanks!

    • Hi Tanya,
Praying for you! That’s not easy, but it’s not without hope! Things may look impossible, BUT with GOD they are more than possible!
Something that has been a blessing to my parents who have been married for 31 years, and that has helped them understand each other better and helped to bring them closer is a video series by Dr. Emmerson and Sarah Eggerichs. It is called Love and Respect. They also have a book out by that name. Here’s the link for their website. http://loveandrespect.com/

    • Tanya,

I prayed for you, your husband, and your precious little boy. Jesus will help you through this and will help you all find the joy that has been missing in your relationship. Thank you for sharing.

    • Tanya, I am praying that you and your husband will grow together into a loving, fulfilling relationship, based on both of your love for Jesus Christ. I know that it can be tough for couples with young children, but don’t give up. I pray that you will look to Jesus to guide you into a wonderful, loving marriage that will be better than you can imagine. It IS possible through Jesus Christ!

    • Hi Tanya,

  16. Yes, I could definitely use your prayers. My husband has lost his job, we currently have no heat in the house we are renting, and we really need to hear from God for direction and where do we go from here. My faith has been very low lately. Thank you for your prayers. God bless.

    • Lillian, I pray for God’s provision for you and your family in your time of need. God bless you as you travel down this road. He will provide, and his timing is perfect for those who trust in Him. His grace is sufficient. I will continue to pray for you. Don’t give up!

    • God please send help to this family. I know that You see their needs and will take care of them. Help Lillian to be comforted and strengthened in this trial. I humbly ask this in the precious name of our Lord.

  17. Preparing to celebrate the life of my dear husband of 38 years today. Feel exhausted after 21/2 years of caring for him…please pray for our children and grandchildren. It’s hard for me to pray right now. We were a ministry team together. He was a most amazing man. Thank you

    • Martha, bless your heart. I know you are tired. I lost my sweet husband less than a month ago, and I think I know how you are feeling. I pray that you will feel Jesus’ loving arms carrying you when you feel like you can’t go on. I pray for your children and grandchildren as they mourn for their daddy and grandaddy. God has given me such peace and comfort that I never knew were possible. I pray that you will have that same peace. God bless you as you go forward. My husband was a wonderful, Godly man, and I miss him so much, but I know with certainty that it is only a matter of time before we are together again. God is so good.

      • MARTHA AND NANA: May God bless you both in your heartaches. May He cover you with His love like a big warm comforter.

  18. Jamie I pray for you as you are dealing with family struggles. *HUGS* to you! I ask for prayers as we are having problems with our child who is adopted. Please pray for strength and guidance for me. Parenting is very hard but there are even more challenges one faces when you adopt.

  19. I am praying for you, Jamie, and your family. I pray that you will be wrapped in His love and led by his guidance. I also pray for others who have posted this morning. It sounds like many families are hurting. I pray that you all may know peace and healing. I am thankful for so many new people and friends in my life. I ask for prayer that I know and follow His will for my life.

  20. I’m rallying prayers for 5 mo. old Baby C at my church who’s scheduled for open heart surgery on Wed. May she get a good report before surgery.

  21. Please, be praying for Jessica Ridgeway’s family, the 10 yr old abducted and murdered in Colorado. Jessica is the great-niece of my best friend. Pray for the peace that passes all understanding for all of us. How can we ever make sense of anything this horrible. Pray especially for her poor momma. Thank you!

    • Dear Heavenly Father,
My heart can’t even begin to understand the horrible devastation that Jessica’s family must be feeling. Please send your angels to minister to them. May Your peace enfold them; may Your Holy Light illuminate all of the darkness that has come into their world because of this horrible crime; may Your unbounded Grace sweep over their souls and may the Balm of Gilead soothe their weary hearts.

  22. I am praying that God would open doors for the gift God has given me as an artist and my friend who has with God’s inspiration written some amazing poems about God’s love and faithfulness, We want to have an inspirational book for publication with possibly dayspring. We have worked hard and feel led by God, so we want His timing and for the doors He wants to open. Thanks for your prayers.
Jamie I know from experience that God can work to bring healing and restoration to family. I pray you can be a light to the unsaved. Hang on to God with all your might and He will get you through. Never give up or let go of God.

  23. Jamie-I pray that your heart remains strengthened by the power of the Spirit. I pray that your family is overwhelmed by the grace that is showered so lovingly on all of us.
Trust in the power of God who still performs miracles.

Many thanks to God who has been so faithful to my family. I ask for continued strength and wisdom as we raise our two chdren and for guidance as we look for a new church-a place that speaks to the heart of each of us.

I am asking for prayer for me as I feel as a new mom the job I am in is too much to handle raising a little one (14 mo) and doing the position I am doing. Please pray for me in my job search that God would lead me in the right direction and he would give me the desire of my heart to work in a job I love but also have plenty of energy to be MOMMY.

    • Heidi,
May God give you clear directions about what you need to do in your job search. May He give you strength and energy to be a wonderful mom.
God bless you for desiring to put your child first.

  28. Laura, I will pray for you at this most difficult time – comfort and love for you.

My prayer request is handling anxieties about moving, job related stresses, and other life changes. I need help resting in the knowledge that God has plans for my life; plans to prosper. Many hurts in my past that are keeping me from peace and rest in this area. Please pray that God will give me faith to walk with him always and rest in his arms. Prayers for release from the anxieties would be greatly appreciated. Please pray that I can focus on how God can use me to help others and to not be selfish. Thank you for your prayers.

  29. If you would please pray for my family… my husband of three years has four children, one has gone home to be with the Lord, and the other three are lost. The youngest, Chad will not speak to us, the daughter keeps getting into bad relationships (one just ended so now she needs us again) and I am trying to lead her to Jesus for a relationship – I need wisdom to say the right things. The third child is beginning to question his life – the loss of his brother made a huge impact on him. (Jeff went home almost two years ago – at age 40, successful OB/GYN robotic surgeon, who, Praise the Lord, loved the Lord!) My husband loves the Lord and we are trying to be an example to the children and to love them… just where they are! To be able to say and do the right things for God’s glory, that is my prayer request… thank you so much!

  30. please pray for a safe labor, and a healthy 5th baby coming up soon also we just lost a baby through adoption. This is the second one. Just looking for Gods plan in all of this. Thank you so much!

  31. We lost my stepdad last week and the more I help mom with the initial paperwork, the more I realize she’s going to have to make a lot of hard decisions in the middle of the grief. Prayers for her and our family as we navigate this would be so appreciated.

    • So sorry for your loss, Tammy. Praying for your mother and your family during this most difficult time. Praying for peace with those decisions she will be making.

Please pray for emotional, spiritual, physical and financial healing in my family.

  33. Laura
I’m so sorry for your loss…words fail me but God knows just what you need!
I’m thankful for Gods provision in times of need and being put in situations where I am totally and completely reliant on Him! Please pray for 20 year old daughter in college…for her relationship with God that she knows. HIM. for herself!

    • Danita,
Praying that God will woo your daughter unto himself just as he has us. That her eyes will be opened and her heart softened to the Holy Spirits work in her heart. That she will become a woman who fears the LORD and leads others to him as well.
      Amen

  34. Please pray for a special friend/friends for me. I am lonely and desire a friend to share life’s joys and upsets with. Also, financial provision for our family and a good job for my husband.

    • praying for you Theresa that you find a sister in Christ to share your journey with … I too ask for this prayer !

    • Praying for you, Theresa!
Praying for your family too and that God’s will be done in a job for your husband!
We’ve experienced first-hand God’s faithfulness for us. Our heavenly Daddy never leaves His children and just as your husband wants to provide for his family, God doesn’t forget that His children need food and clothes either.
So grateful for His faithfulness. Also, was encouraged to read about counting all trials as joy as God calls us to in James 1:2. Elizabeth George gives a very encouraging look at it. here’s the link to a sample chapter of her book Finding God’s Path Through Your Trials. http://books.google.co.th/books?id=1tsuf_S7T9QC&printsec=frontcover&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false
She talks about the word “count” in the commmand to “Count it all joy… when you fall into various trials.” That word means to evaluate, to consider, to account for something. We’re to look at it and decide it is joy. We can determine to have the attitude of joy. It’s not an emotion, but a decision of the will. It’s faith. if you take a look at that sample chapter it is very envcouraging what i read so far in it.
      Love and prayers,
      Sarah

  35. Prayer for gods will. A breast lump was found. I’m a single homeschool mama to 3. Also prayer for deliverance from my selfish desires,,, they seem so strong at times. Thank you!!!

    • Dear Bonnie,
Praying for you! May our heavenly Daddy do what is best!
May He bring healing. May you be an instrument in His hand to encourage others to walk closely to Him. May you be bold and gentle in talking to people and showing them the only way of truth-Jesus.
Please let us know how things are going for you!
God bless you for homeschooling! Remember that by homeschooling your children, you have the privilege and opportunity to implant in them God’s truth and Word, which will be a blessing to them the rest of their lives, and impact generations to come. You have the opportunity to implant in them a desire to seek God as their Heavenly Daddy with all their hearts, and to never stop seeking Him and pursuing Him and letting Him seek and pursue them.
      God bless you, sister!!!

“Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced, O descendants of Israel His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones. (1 Chronicles 16:11-13)
The LORD gives strength to His people; the LORD blesses His people with peace. (Psalms 29:11)
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. (Psalms 27:14)
The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him, (Nahum 1:7)
Love and prayers and a big hug,
      Sarah

  36. We have 4 grown daughters.
The oldest is waiting to get a divorce as her husband declared he would rather be homosexual. She has found another fellow and they are planning on marriage after they both get their divorces. Pray for her as her husband is now on disability so he may go after her for everything. She loves the Lord.
The second is married with 4 kids. She is bittter so this brings on strain in their marriage. He goes to church but we do not know if he has made a committment or not. She has had to work to provide for the family. We are praying that he will take on his responsibility to provide for the family and that she will seek the Lord to receive freedom from her bitterness.
The third does not want to attend church as her husband has a mental illness and they feel that they are looked down upon. She is now a registered nurse in order to provide for them.
    The fourth just got married.
We will be travelling and ministering in churches the next 10 days. We would appreciate your prayers.
    Thanks.

  37. Father, I am lifting up all of the women who have commented before me, and all who will comment after me. I know that You know the desires and fears of their hearts, and that only You can comfort and answer their prayers. I lift them up in faith, knowing that You are always with us, and that Your promises are always true and steadfast.

Father, I ask for prayers for a vehicle to help me get a job, and I ask for a job. The limited funds that we had will soon be gone, and I pray for financial blessings. I need to get back to the doctor because I feel the cancer has returned. I thank you in advance for all of Your blessings, for I know that You are true and that when You hear our prayers You will respond in Your own timing. You are an awesome God, and I am so grateful for all that You have given to us, and all that You have done to sustain us these last few months. I thank you, Father, for knowing the desires of my heart, and my deepest fears and needs, and I thank you for always providing exactly what I need when I need it.

    • you are precious to the FAther, makes my life pale in comparison to yours…Gods provision is great and I pray He will uphold you at this time and provide for your needs in a MIRACULOUS and visible way…that your FAith would be rewarded quicky, and to bring peace and comfort to your life….your testimony is great already sweet beautiful beloved.

    • I pray for Cindi and for the chains of financial bondage to be broken. I pray you will open the store house and fill her life to overflowing. I also pray for healing of her whole body, that you will apply the sacred blood of healing to her being. I praise you for what you are going to do in the life of this precious daughter of yours!

My prayer request is for God’s perfect will to be done in my life. I am in te beginning stages of a budding relationship and it scares me because I am 31 and have never been in a relationship. I desire to be married and have children but I don’t want to rush ahead of God in this. So I need prayer for wisdom and discernment and to not get wrapped up in my insecurities. Also for my sister who is older than me and single. I want her to be happy and taken care of and I know God holds her in his hands, but I want her to experience joy even in her earthly body and I know she has desired marriage as well.

  38. How do you pray for an upturned life, an out of control mind, an abundance of FEAR? No clue how to take a step forward…..

    • Amy, you do just what you are doing…asking for prayer. You are taking the best first step forward.
I’ve found that when fear grips me and my mind is spinning, my inclination is not to seek after God. BUT if you make yourself open your Bible and ask God to guide you, He will do it.
I have been in your shoes. One time in particular, I didn’t know what to read but I wanted to reach out to God. I think God put these words in my mind… “brokenhearted.” I looked in the concordance in the back of my Bible and found a verse with that word in it. I could hardly believe it! So I found the verse that says that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Wow. From there I just kept looking for him. And I found that when my focus was on him, that my heart was calmed. I pray that God will give you his peace. He wants to give you his peace.

    • Amy, just close your eyes, kneel, stand or sit in a quiet space even if just for five minutes-come as you are and ask God who is nothng but courage, peace and understanding to help you overcome these things. I will pray that God shows you how to take steps forward in overcoming these things! If you take steps God will meet you along the way!

  39. First, rejoice with me because of the way God answers prayer. My husband suddenly found himself in need of a new job. We prayed just last Friday, God led us to send a resume to an unexpected employer, Monday he was interviewed, and was hired. So he is going back to being a Christian counselor, getting out of public schools. We didn’t expect such a fast answer. I know He doesn’t always move this fast, but He moves in his timing. We are in awe. Our God is so good!
Please pray for me too. I have had a bad headache since August 21st. It was the result of a spinal tap and nothing has helped. I know God has been working during this time. I’ve never felt closer to Him. So I can honestly say “his will be done.” But at the same time, I would like for the pain to stop. Thank you!

    • Rejoicing with you Jan at the answered prayer for your husband’s job and praying right now for relief for your headache and answers. Thankful with you too that God is near and with you even in this struggle.

  40. Well, I’ve been struggling with excepting the seperation between my husband and I. I was hopeful for a while and now that the divorce is final, I feel a bit hopeless. It’s not what I wanted but it felt like I had no choice in the matter. Pray that I see the greater good out of a dim situation and that I have clear discernment on what God wants me to do.

    • Dear Nancy,
      I’m praying for you!!!!
With God all things are possible!
Since God says, “I hate divorce,” I know that if you ask Him, He will give you strength and the ability to forgive and make things right with your husband. Not saying it will be easy, but it will be right. I encourage you to not give up on your marriage. It is to be “Till death do us part”
Don’t give up! Go for it, Nancy!
For more encouragement, please look at the movie fireproof. It’s not difficult to rent it for cheap off of amazon.com or it may even may be at a library near you. There are many truths and blessings in it and it has also been a blessing for my parents.
Also, something that has been a blessing to my parents who have been married for 31 years, and that has helped them understand each other better and helped to bring them closer is a video series by Dr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs. It is called Love and Respect. They also have a book out by that name. If you want you can look them up at loveandrespect.com
You can also get the kindle version of the book at Amazon.com
I know that there may be lots of people who want to give advice, and it may get frustrating after a while, since we don’t all deeply understand what you and your husband are/have been going through, yet I know God has a plan for you both. I’m praying that you all get back together. Even after a divorce is finalized, there is still an opportunity to forgive, and make our side right with them. We can’t control whether they apologize for what they’ve done, but we have control over whether we make right any misunderstanding that may have hurt them, or anything we may have done or said that was not words of life and respect.
This is not an easy path for you, I know, Nancy! I am praying for you!!!!
Love and prayers and a big hug,
      Sarah

  41. What a wonderful privilege to uphold all of these requests. I’ve read through each one and am asking our gracious heavenly Father to intervene. Whatever we ask here on earth WILL be done in Heaven. Amen.

  42. Praying for your family Wendy. And the many others. I hate asking for prayers for myself when there are so many other more important things but I am on so much pain I don’t know what else to do. My feet and ankles are do bad I can hardly walk. I went to the dr. 2 weeks ago. X-ray and bone scan indicate an infection. She referred me to an orthapedician. He says it’s more likely tendenitist. Gave me some Cream and pain meds. It has progressively gotten worse til today I can hardly stand. It take 20mins to go 12 ft from bed to bargroom

  43. I am giving thanks for women finding a place to be understood these past 2 weeks within (in)courage communities! It is blowing my mind just how BIG our God is!
I am also facing that time of year again when a very difficult event occurred. I struggle with the emotions, fears, and physical stress that arises – it is involuntary. I praise God to be 2 years removed from this event. I just ask for prayer for peace and comfort from the Lord in this time and to see and understand what He might want to show us THROUGH it.

  44. My request isn’t as serious as many other requests here. But I need prayer for myself. I am struggling terribly with homeschooling my kids – it’s exhausting, and we’re dealing with some attitude problems (both me and our two kids, ha!). Some days it’s fine, but other days it feels like trying to swim through quicksand. I’m worn out. I also need prayer for my spiritual life, that God would give me a greater hunger and thirst for Him, for time spent in the Word, for prayer. And also, please pray for my husband, who has walked away from his faith. He is a saved man, but all the doubts and questions he struggled with for so many years lead him down a path that neither of us foresaw, and he went most unwillingly.

    • Valerie,
I have been where you are, in everything you said. It is not easy. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Bring everything to him, every moment of every day. Man will always fail us, God never will.
Your last couple of lines broke my heart. I am presently picking up the pieces of my husband’s sin and I am unable to put them back together. But I do know who is able and who can put those pieces back together and I have faith and hope in HIM.
      Keep the faith, dear one.
      Praying for you now.

    • Valerie… I am so sorry that things are rough. I know homeschooling can be an INCREDIBLE challenge, although rewarding also… and I’ve walked the path before of my husband not walking with the Lord. I am so sorry. I know how lonely that can feel as a wife. Father, wrap Valerie in Your arms right now and comfort her heart like only You can. Breathe new life into her heart and fan the flames there of love for You. Capture her heart all over again. Resource her God, tangibly. Give her every single thing she needs right now. And Father would you draw her precious husband’s heart back to you? Whisper to him and woo him and remind him how precious he is to You. Bring your Kingdom in this sweet family, God. Be glorified in their lives!

  45. I discovered a lump in my neck 2 weeks ago. A sonogram and biopsy were recently done and my results appt is Monday 10/15 to find the results. Would like prayer for good news, but also for finding His joy in whatever the circumstances.

  46. I am praying for all of the beautiful women who have commented before me and all of those who will comment after me. My children sing a precious song at pre-school — the chorus goes, “God is watching over you, watching over you, watching over you. God is watching over you, watching over you each day.”

My prayer request is for my daughter, age 4. She was recently diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. Our prayers are for finding a therapist who will work with her with love, faith, and knowledge.

    • Stephanie, I love the chorus. I will ponder it in my heart.
Your prayer request is dear to my heart although I am not at liberty to share why at this moment. I marvel at how God orders even a comment prayer link. I am praying for a therapist that will be just the right fit for your precious little girl. And I pray for you, that you will be encouraged when you need it and brave to make changes if necessary in your journey with therapists and whatever else she needs. God has deposited in you exactly what this child needs as her mother. Isn’t he amazing? May she be a joy and delight to you and make steady and remarkable progress.
I would love to hear how you are doing . Feel free to email me.
You will see this twice unless I am able to change my post. I didn’t hit reply the first time:)

  47. Dear Laura,
I’m praying for you…I know how you feel. I had a still born baby boy too…many years ago. It was my first child. I felt empthy too. But the Lord gave me strenght en two more healthy boys. It will take a while before the pain goes away..but as Christians we share in your grief and hope that all the support and love we show will help you to feel better little by little….

  48. I lift up all these prayer requests to the Lord. My heart aches for Laura my Step Granddaughters first baby was born silent, and my nieces beautiful baby boy didn’t live and never did breath on his own, so I realize what a sad time this is for her and I pray God will wrap His arms around her and hold her in His lap and let her know how special she is to Him. I pray for Diane and her treatment and believe she will beat this. I have 2 prayer requests, one for my children who at one time were serving the Lord, but I’m not sure where they are now. The second is for myself, I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer which has resulted in a double mastectomy on Sept 21. The tumors were quite large and I am facing chemo and possibly radiation. I know I’m in Gods hand, but am still a little scared. I receive SS but not enough to totally live on so I work 3 days a week. I have not been able to work since Sept 11, so am relying on God to provide my needs. I think I will be able to go back to work once I start treatments, but have no idea how much I will be able to handle. I will beat this!

    • Judy,
I am praying for you right now. I love your determination and joyful spirit. God can do something great through this terrible circumstance. He has everything under control and I’m positive that He has a special plan for you in this scary time of your life! Rest in His arms.

As for myself, I recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on May 31st. I am a SAHM and while I am grateful for the opportunity to spend so much time with her, I am also struggling with very bad post partum depression. It makes everything so much harder. I’ve had to up my depression meds three times and I have just started counseling. Hopefully I start to see some improvements.

      • I have 5 children, 4 boys and my last a girl who is now 2 1/2, however I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you as I too have experienced post partum and have been on medication for it. I will pray that the right people will be in your life to be your support when you need it, showing God’s love to you. Also, through the times when know one is there, lean on God, ‘the joy of the lord is your strength’ let his grace and mercies and peace that he can only give, be of comfort and strength to you at all times. God’s joy is your strength, sometimes darkness can overcome you and take that peace and strength away. However, fight it with the power from God’s Holy Spirit. Let it engulf you, listen to worship music at home, whatever it may be that can lift you up (Time Keller’s sermons, this website etc…). Pray without ceasing. I have been there, and know how it can be, just really want to encourage you.
        Praying for you,
        xo Nadine

  49. Stephanie, I love the chorus.
For the woman strategically placed next in line, I am praying that I might trust God with all the challenges in my life right now, stay focused and let His eyes guide me with peace. I was just looking at the submit button and thinking, yes, that I will submit to His plan and be able to fully trust Him.

  50. Giving thanks to day for God’s love and guidance in my life. I need prayer today as I am faced with some really tough decisions in my personal life right now. Ever have a gut feeling you wish weren’t true, but you know it is. AND somehow, just somehow, you know you will be ok, God is with you and you will be stronger on the other side of this? Yeah, that’s where I am. My whole world is changing again. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. I just need God’s strength, love, peace, and wisdom to flood my life and my decisions as I continue to follow him. Thanks for supporting me in your prayers.

  51. Paula,

Your last couple line hit me and were just what I needed today. I need to be reminded daily that I have to trust in Him. He has a plan and it is better than any thing I could think of. Thank you for the reminder.

Praying for you today for all the challenges in your life and that you will stay focused.

  52. I am humbled by the way women reach out to pray for one another here. So many struggles, so many heartaches.

Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of my husband’s Homegoing. We we married almost 13 years, and I cannot believe a year has passed since I last saw him and spoke with him. God has been so gracious since then, with blessing upon blessing. Life would have been so very hard had he survived his illness, but I just miss my Jeffrey.

  53. Ladies, I pray for your determination. While we may never understand why things occur, as they do to our children, we can trust that support of each will sustain us in a community surrounded by love and care. Let the sunshine be a reminder of the golden rays of God’s love for all of us, no matter where we sit or stand or in the middle of right now..this minute. We are requesting to be held close for the decisions we are facing for my daughter’s medical condition and the impact it has made on her entire life.

  54. Will be praying for you Amanda for god’s wisdom and dicernment in al your decisions you have to make. I also need a lot of God’s wisdom and discernment in raising ny neice who we are still finalizing custody issues with her biological dad since my sis. Her mon passed away last Sept I need His stength since I struggle with health issues, and need more of His grace

  55. My husband and I need God’s direction for where we are supposed to worship. Painful things have happened and we feel sad and confused.

    • Praying for your friend, Mandy! Praying for you too!
“Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced, O descendants of Israel His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones.” (1 Chronicles 16:11-13)
“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”
      (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Let’s look to our Heavenly Daddy each day in faith, and not a worked up kind of faith, but the kind of faith that looks to Him and says, Daddy, please keep my heart, my eyes, and my trust and actions fixed on You today. And then let’s let Him keep us and our minds focused on Him throughout the whole day. He promised that if we continually drink from the water of life that He gives us, we will never thirst. Let’s continually drink and revel in and rest in the refreshment, no matter what trials we face, or how intense the pain is, or how dark the night is.
      Love and prayers,
      Sarah

  56. I go to my three month checkup for lymphoma. It will be my first checkup since remission. Help me to keep my eyes on Jesus on TRUST in the LORD with all my heart, Psalm 3:5-6.

  57. Joyce, I am praying for you and your husband to find a place to worship. I am in the same situation. I am looking for a place to worship myself. I am also seeking a different career path as I am very unhappy in a difficult teaching position. I also need prayer for healing of my feet and knees. I had foot surgery a year ago and it did not go well. I am now having to walk with a walker and can not stand for very long. My quality of life has diminshied greatly. Thanks for the prayers.

    • Father I life up Kathy to you and I pray for Your grace in her life. I pray that you will meet her needs in finding a new career and in the healing that she needs Help her to find a good church where she will be fed and nurtured where people befriend her and her life will be filled with joy.

  58. Thanking God that my granddaughter who is attending massage therapy school in Salt Lake City, Utah likes her school and is doing well. Asking prayers that God will come into her life and guide her and help her to stay healthy.

  59. I really need prayer. I am in a relationship and currently we are struggling. After my brother died it had causes a huge strain on your relationship. I am bitter and filled with worry. He always seems to be preoccupied and I am never a priority and it hurts. I know god wants me to be with him but I am weary and I want us to be how we were before my brother died and for their to be healing and restoration and a miracle. I am needing faith

    • Morgan,

Praying for healing for you and your family after brother’s death. May God wrap his loving arms around you and fill you with His peace.

Praying for wisdom on the relationship. May God give you the knowledge you need to make wise decisions. May you know with certainty that this is the man God wants you to be with.

  60. I have several prayer requests. First of all my dad has a small “malignant melanoma”. It appears to be healing, but is bothersome to him.

Secondly he has a mild case of depression for which recently given lexapro.
This has been a rough time for him as August was the third anniversary of mom’s death, he turned 87, and found out about the cancer. Pray that all the new meds he’s on will turn him around.

Also pray for a friend’s mom who is 82-84. She had bronchitis and isn’t eating. Doctor told Pat, mom, that if she didn’t eat her kidneys would shut down and she would die. All she wants to do is sleep.

  61. I am so thankful for fall weather, cool air, and this site. I feel encouraged by what I read here. I have been in and out of bad relationships for a few years now. I pray to have a family of my own to love and be loved in. As I get older its hard not to get discouraged. I just wish I understood His plan for my life. Thanks to all that pray – it means so much.

    • Janet. I can honestly say being a mother is the best feeling in the world. I pray for your heart to be patient for a Godly man, and you are blessed with a family you will nourish and love.
I will share with you, I too have been in trying relationship. I had to deal with abuse. I jumped into a relationship with a man who listened to me and promised me things I wanted to hear. He abused me too. I left when my son was born and he continued yelling and abusing me and threatening my life.
I am in the middle of a divorce and child custody case. I can honestly tell you there are worse things than being single and lonely,.
I encourage you to volunteer, seek God everyday, and have faith in Him. The only pure love that will never hurt is that from God.

Good luck to your future. God Bless.

    • Janet, I can honestly tell you I love being a mommy, hearing laughter, seeing growth everyday, those innocent eyes, the silliness. So I pray you are blessed with a God Fearing loving family.
I will share with you, I too have a history of bad relationships, that led to me being abused. I am in the middle of a divorce and custody case, that is stressful, hurtful and scary. So I can honestly tell you, there are worse things to be than single and lonely.
I encourge you to pray and be patient. Trust in God and pray for a Godly man and be weary there are foxes in bunny suits even in church. Believe me not every one who says God God is truly seeking him, and some of these people are very dangerous as I have learned.
If it is God’s will, seek Him first and He will give you the family you long for. But be weary of who you let in your intimate space without seeking God.
Some mistakes will test you, to the point of giving up, questioning God, and wanting to hide. But the Good news, is God is there even then.

      God Bless

  62. I am angry, confused and scared. I am struggling by the response from Church Leaders to my marriage where I was abused. I feel they were more concerned about keeping me married to man who hurt me, and did not care about my future and my childs future.
I am in the middle of a divorce, my husband makes more money than me and the lawyer fees seem so intimidating. I have to move and in the midst of all that I see knews stories of children being hurt and killed. I am struggling to focus on God, in these desperate times. I am praying I keep focusing on Him not the so many distractions surrounding me.

    • Elizabeth–I am praying for you and your little one! I feel your pain, right now I am just a few steps behind you, feeling stuck in a bad marriage. It is hard to stay focused when you feel so abandoned and alone–praying you will receive some much needed relief and comfort!

      • Dear Denise,
I am praying for you! I encourage you to seek God with all your heart and read His word, the Bible. There is tremendous encouragement and the best advice for your situation. Since God created you, He knew about you and each painful experience you’d be going through, but as people who follow Jesus and obey Him, there is the promise that He gave, that He will never leave or forsake us! No matter how things look, we can count on God’s promises, because He never changes, no matter how many things in this world are so fickle.
Another encouragement that I’d love for you to see, before you might start making any major decisions about your marriage, is the movie Fireproof. It’s easily rented from amazon.com for a cheap price or it can be borrowed from a library.
Also, if you would like to look at something that really helped my parents, who have been married for 31 years now, you can go to loveandrespect.com .
There is a video series that Dr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs do that is very helpful and inspiring. Also, the book Dr Emerson wrote is close to what the video series has. After listening to most of the video series myself, it helps me understand the differences between men and women better. Very refreshing to be able to have things make more sense! amazon.com would even have the kindle version of the book too.
        God bless you, Denise!
        Love and prayers,
        Sarah

    • Elizabeth, I pray that God gives you direction and provision and a feeling of peace about your choices. I pray for your protection and for God to hedge you and your child in on all sides. No where in the Bible does it say it is okay for a man to abuse his wife and children. It says, ‘Husbands love your wives as God loved the church and gave his life for her.’ It gives directions for wives as well. I know how hard it is to respect and submit to someone who is hurting you. There are things that go on in homes that no one should have to endure and I think the church is just learning that a great deal of abuse goes on in the homes of their people. Know that Jesus knows your pain, even if your church doesn’t, and he knows your heart. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus even when all the news is full of awful stories. Take every thought captive. It is God who holds our futures and it is scary when they seem uncertain. I pray that God blesses you today with a blanket of his grace.

    • Dear Elizabeth,
      I am praying for you!!!
I ache for you and your family!
I know that God can change your husband’s heart too. I know that it may take some time before he’d be ready to change.
I would encourage you to seek God very much about actually divorcing your husband. When there is abuse going on that it is dangerous to be around, i’d agree that it would be best for you and your child to live for a time, at least, somewhere else. But, when those divorce papers are signed, there’s something so final about it.
Here’s something our Heavenly Daddy has said to us for our own good too, “Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.”
      (1 Peter 3:1-2)

If it is dangerous for you and your child to live in the house with your husband, I pray that you find a safe place!
I also pray that you have the wisdom and courage to fight for this marriage, since you made a commitment to this specific man, till death parts you. God knows how much you can bear and will not allow anything to get beyond Him to you, that He will not offer you the strength for. And remember, Jesus understands your situation totally and He said that whatever is done to the least of these, is done to Him.
God bless you in seeking God and His advice. The Bible is always a safe place to go to.
Another encouragement that I’d love for you to see, before you continue, is the movie Fireproof. It’s easily rented from amazon.com for a cheap price or it can be borrowed from a library.
Also, if you would like to look at something that really helped my parents (who have been married for 31 years now and have had their share of difficulties and misunderstandings) you can go to loveandrespect.com . you can also find them talking some on youtube.
There is a video series (Love and Respect) that Dr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs do that is very helpful and inspiring. Also, the book Dr Emerson wrote is close to what the video series has and is also called Love and Respect. After listening to most of the video series myself, it helps me understand the differences between men and women better. Very refreshing to be able to have things make more sense! amazon.com would even have the kindle version of the book too.
      Praying for you, Elizabeth!!
      Love and prayers,
      Sarah

  63. Sharon,
How wonderful that your granddaughter has you to pray for her! I will pray for her as well, that she will seek God and look to him as the focus of her life. He is mighty, and I am so thankful for that! 🙂 I ask that you pray for my twins, the youngest of 6 children, that they draw near to the Lord and seek his guidance. They are struggling with who they are and where they are headed. God already knows, so I pray they realize that they need him in their lives. Thanks!

  64. I pray that God moves quickly on my behalf. God has made certain promises to me and has been showing me everyday that He is answering my prayers and at the same time the enemy has been trying to do everything he can to stop and block it. Please also pray for my fiancee Jermaine. He has been dealing with some strongholds and it seems that the enemy is trying to have a field day with him. I believe God can do anything but fail.

    • Keyana–
Your faith is so strong! That always amazes me to hear, when someone is facing struggles! Praying for you both, may you continue to be strong in the Lord!

      • Thank you so much for your prayers. I believe that God will do EXACTLY what He said He will do. Continue to stand strong in the Lord Denise. 🙂

  65. Janet-I pray that you are given a peace and contentment with where you are at in life and that you settle for nothing less than you deserve!

I ask for prayers for myself today. My marriage is in a terrible place. We are going to a marriage counseling weekend out of state next week and I have to leave behind my 5 children. I am very upset about going so far, for so long–I never leave our children, but my husband insists. I do not even know if this weekend will be enough to save what little remains of our marriage. I know we need to try, but I am a nervous wreck. I need prayers for peace about this, for faith that my children will be ok and that I will be able to return home to them, and that my husband will once again be open to the counseling and his heart and mind will be affected by what is said there. He is a recovering sex addict, and to put it lightly, the last few years have been very difficult. I am so ready for some healing…..however God sees fit to make that happen, whether it is a recovery in our marriage or a divorce, I am just ready for things to be better, to be happy again.

    • So sorry you are having to go through this, Denise. Praying for the healing that only He can bring you. Praying for His love and support to overwhelm your days. Praying for the tender hearts of your children.

  66. My husband and I are in need of prayer. We just found out that his kidneys are failing, and he will need dialysis. We just moved to a new city and are away from our family, so I feel so alone at times. He will no longer be able to work. We want to do what is God’s will for us. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.

  67. we are nearing the last 3-6 months of adopting our daughter from Haiti… We are 2.5years into the process, and we ask your prayers to petition for a speedy finish so that. Can bring this 8year old home… We trust that God can move mountains, He HAS and we lift up our prayers to Him that we see monthly updates and progress, that we may bring pour child home in JANUARY… In faith we pray…

  68. Keyana J,

I am surrounding you and Jermaine in prayers – that God hold you both close, protect you from attacks of the enemy, and continue to provide you both courage and encouragement on the journeys He rests your feet upon.

Please pray for healing of body and heart. I recently injured my ankle and have become pretty immobile as a result. I am finding that during this time of being still the enemy is attacking me strongly, discouraging me. My heart is restless in regards to many of life’s fronts that I yearn for the peace I know and have felt God provide in the past. Please pray for discernment in recognizing the lies of the enemy and for the strength, endurance, and courage to grab hold of God’s promises during this trying time. Thanks so much. Hugs and God Bless ~

  69. Denise – if you can remember only one thing, remember this – God can make a way where there seems to be no way. I have seen that in difficult times in my marriage, so I will pray it for you.

My husband had a cerebellar hemorrhage (stroke) on Sept. 25, and brain surgery the next day. After a week of close monitoring , he was moved to a rehab hospital. Since being there , he has had continuing headaches, which make it hard for him to concentrate on his therapy. a cat scan Wednesday ruled out any things else going on in his head. Also in the last 3 days, he has become dehydrated and is receiving IV fluids. Please pray for a turnaround so that he might become able to continue his rehab, get stronger and recover his mobility. We praise God there seems to be no permanent damage done to his brain or body, but it’s these other problems that are slowing things down.

    • Jehovah stands for I Am and I always have been and I always will be God. Let His name minister to you.
Today I lift you and your husband up to Him.
Jehovah Rophe-He is presently your Healer, always has, and ways will be.
      Jehovah Jireh- Provider
Jehovah Shalom- Peace, nothing missing, and nothing broken.
      Jehovah Shammah- is present
      Jehovah Tsidkenu-Righteousness
      Jehovah Roi – Shepherd
      Jehovah Yeshua – Savior
He sees you both. El Roi the God who sees.
Hallelujah I know He is answering our prayers. 🙂

  70. I have been fighting unforgiveness due to childhood abuse and current offenses from family in my life. I am tired if carrying its weight. I want to be free. I want to love instead no matter what it takes. I know this is the only thing standing in the way of my destiny. Please pray I will find the way to true forgiveness, and be able to place appropriate boundaries in my relationships that are for the good of us all.

    • Melinda,
Forgiveness is so hard! Sometimes we just have to state it out loud.
“I choose to forgive! I choose to forgive!” The healing that comes from forgiveness is so wonderful. I pray for you to find that freedom to love

  71. I need prayer for my husband. He is a recovering alcoholic and is learning to live life sober. I pray that he would give control of his life over to Jesus and feel safe there. He says he has asked Jesus to forgive his sin and to come into his life. My prayer is that God would change him into the man that he would have him be, who ever that may be, and that God would give him purpose.
Praying for all those who have asked for prayer before me. We have a big God and he is more than able to lift us up and set our feet on solid ground. I pray that he pours favour over each person here, that he provides for every need, for comfort, for safety, for provision, for jobs, for homes. So many hurting people. But we turn to God because for him, nothing is impossible. May God bless each of you with his peace today.

  72. Wow. God must have wanted me here this morning because when I turned on my computer this page on prayer came up as if it were my home page. I am praying for all who comment here as the needs are many and the challenges are great. I am thankful that our God is greater than any of them! I am grateful that my 20 year old son has returned to his faith. I am grateful that God is lifting us up in our current , horrible circumstance. Please pray for us. Please pray for my son who in the process of trying to help a “friend” ended up present at a terrible crime this “friend” committed and is now being prosecuted as if he were a full participant. Please pray for wisdom and mercy for and from the people involved in this judicial process and for God’s grace and mercy in my son’s life. Thank you. The prayers are truly felt and appreciated.

  73. I carry a heavy load in my marriage ( a husband who was addicted to porn for many years and was emotionally abusive) and I times the weight makes me want to quit. He’s a good man and he loves God but he has needs that I don’t want to fill and he’s very selfish. I was raised to honor the “submissive wife” role and yet that role left me without a voice and so very confused, especially when it has come to sex. I don’t even know what to ask for but the thought of another 13 years of this makes me tired and unfullfilled. I want to honor God in all that I do.

    • Susan, I will pray that God changes your husbands heart into what he would have it be. My heart breaks for you and I can understand how you would be confused between being submissive and feeling like you have to do things that make you uncomfortable because of that. I believe that if you are uncomfortable you should be able to say that and your husband should love you enough to respect that. Men who are or who have been addicted to porn, have a sexual appetite that is not built on reality. Many times it becomes warped and that is very hard to deal with. I believe only God can change that and so we will believe that our Abba will work in your husbands heart and his sexual desires so that you would be able to honour your role as his wife without feeling used, tired and unfulfilled. I pray that you will find peace in Jesus and that he will hold you and love you and guide you.

  74. I pray for Susan to find her voice to achieve fulfillment for herself. God, does, indeed want you feel the joy that He wants for you.
I ask for prayers of comfort and guidance as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death and attempt to step out of may comfort zone to find employment and friendship. thank you and god bless.

  75. <aura, I pray for comfort and peace over you! I lost my husband in February and I understand your pain right now. It seems that there are no words to describe our feelings while grieving for a loved one. However, reading the word with this blog and other blogs at Day Spring has comforted me and strengthening me late in the night when I feel lonely and empty.
I give praise to God for His daily provision for me and my grandson. Pray for God's favor and His wisdom to be with me during the hearings and procedures to the guardianship process in court. Pray for my 8 years old grandson, Wesley, so this guardianship will be smooth and quick. Pray for his mom's mental health and peace during this procedure in court. It has been very painful to our family, but I'm trusting God that soon everything will be restored and peace will be reigning among my two sons and daughter and I, one day, will be hugging all of them again.

  76. Lord I pray that you will convict Susan’s husband of his sin and his need of repentance. I also pray that you would show Susan how to deal with this horrible situation until he heeds Your voice, and show her how she can honor her husband as she is called to do, without being a victim to his abuse. Your Word tell us that marriage is to be a blessing and a witness to the hurting world. I pray that all of our marriages could reflect your glory and honor.

    Sue

  77. Laura, I am so sorry and my heart aches to read about your loss. Rest assured you are in my prayers. May our Lord give you His peace.

I ask for prayers for my beautiful 23-year-old daughter, Bianca. Her father pretty much abandoned her and has not played a role in her life. As a result of this and other circumstances, she quit college, cannot find the motivation to find a job, and is wasting her life as a reclusive. She barely leaves the house and asks why God just doesn’t take her. I have prayed and fasted, without ceasing, her entire life, but she seems to sink further and further each day. She will be starting counseling this week only because I am literally taking her by the hand and making her go. She also refuses to take an antidepressant. Please pray that she will have a spiritual breakthrough, so she can move on with the life God has destined for her. I don’t know how else to pray for her or what else I can do. I am a desperate mother who doesn’t understand why there are no answers to my prayers. Thank you and God bless!

    • First, I want to pray for Bianca and her mother! A dear friend of mine has a daughter in a similar situation, and I know the heartaches and pain she has bestowed upon her family! However, God knows every detail of this situation, and I know He will bring resolution! I pray that He will comfort and strengthen you, as you help her see a counselor this week! (Hopefully, it is a Christian Counselor!). God will mold her and shape her into His masterpiece, if we continue to pray, and I will add each of you to my prayer list!

Truly, I thank God for his beautiful creation at this spectacular time of year! As a person, who was in remission from Dystonia for thirteen years and now having to deal with Anterocollis, it is very difficult to deal with daily tasks! Please pray that this form of Dystonia will also go into remission “in His time”! Thanks!

  78. I have hurts and fears from my past. I have a hard time viewing God as a loving Father, to be trusted, and who loves me just for me. My Dad loved me, never abused me, but we had to perform to earn his love. And it’s so hard to move past that. I need to forgive him for not being the Dad I thought I needed. And to just put my faith and trust in God. It is putting a strain on my marriage. I wanna run… but I know that won’t help!! Please just pray God would break through and Satan would loose his grip. Thanks!!

    • Heavenly Creator,

Break through in a great big way so that dello03 will feel your presence.

Help her to forgive and heal and move on to the great life you have for her. Create in her a clean, trusting, forgiving, discerning heart, so that she can receive and share your love.

Heal her, heal her, give her peace in all regards.

We ask in the name of your beloved Son, and go in peace, knowing that our prayers will be answered in your great good time, according to your great plan for us.

      Amen

  79. My God knows the thoughts of my mind and my motivations and I am so thankful to be FORGIVEN!

My prayer request is for my husband. He is a very strong believer but has some very destructive views of child rearing; especially in regards to our ADHD and possibly Aspergers son. He calls him horrible names and thinks he can bully him out of his ADHD symptoms. My son will cry, bite himself, and bite and rip his clothes. We have gone to counseling and ADHD seminars and he will change for awhile, but always reverts back. He says he had ADHD and his dad beat it out of him and and he turned out “ok” so my son should just submit to his “discipline”. I have talked to him repeatedly and he says I am turning them into pussies.

Now that he is going to be working overtime his mood will get worse. If I had somewhere to go I would separate from him and show him that his anger and verbal abuse really are that bad. He thinks that since he isn’t hitting us or going to the bar every night that we should just deal with it.

His latest abuse is telling my son that he will be gay if he sits a certain way or cries when he is being “corrected”. My son was peeing on the toilet lid because his stream splits and my husband screamed at him for that. So now my son is sitting down to pee and my husband is yelling and telling him he will be gay if he does that.

I feel like a bad mother since I haven’t taken the kids away. I don’t want a divorce, but I just want to separate from him to see that he is doing irreversible damage and he has to stop.

Our church group men are going to be talking to him soon and I pray that this will reach his heart and he will turn to God and have Him deal with his anger. My husband is willing to meet with them and for that I am very thankful.

Thank you so much for your prayers!

  80. I just moved and I need to put my house in order and restore some organization to my family home . . . QUICKLY!

  81. Susan:
I was in an emotionally abusive marriage years ago, and finally left him. I don’t know what the right thing is for you to do, but God does. I will pray that He reveal this to you, and ease your suffering.
I also pray for all the needs in these comments. These are some difficult trials to bear. God knows all about them, and is there with you all.
I ask for prayer for my current circumstances. Joblessness, no money or car to get anywhere plus I live in the desert where it’s a 2 hour bus ride to most of the places I might find work, anxiety and ADHD and bipolar, loneliness.
Thank you all for your prayers and support. God told us to love each other, and I pray the love we all show is pleasing to God.

  82. My husband is facing shoulder surgery in the near future. We are retired, but resting in God’s promises to take good care of our needs. Also, pray for my daughter and her husband, who go on Monday, the 15th to have their young son evalutated for autism. So much pain and discouragement in their lives right now dealing with his behavioral issues on a daily basis.
Thank you! May God’s riches blessings be yours!:)

    • Lord, please heal Sylvia’s husband shoulder. Thank you Healer. Please bless her daughter’s son and give him the help that he needs. Let it lead to complete healing in body, mind and spirit. Holy Spirit comfort them and encourage them and surround them with a community of people who love them and love you – keep them away from lies and fill them with your loving truth. May this family individually and collectively see countless miracles and as a result use them to bring miracles to those who need it, in the name of Jesus. You are so awesome God and it’s a privileged to pray for the Beelcher family. Thank you for what you are about to do. Amen.

  83. dear Lord,
thank you for Susan – Lord, you are all powerful and nothing is impossible for you. Thank you for that truth. Lord, I ask for peace for Susan right now and for your presence to fill her home; show her what she is to be faithful in and what she is to leave for you to handle. Jesus, i pray that you will heal that which has been mishandled and i pray for a sweet relationship with you in the midst of this dry place. Lord you are able to make the valley a place of springs – so I am asking you do that for Susan , her husband and her dear son. Protect them from the lies of the enemy. Your perfect will be done in each of there lives including joy in the journey. Thank you King Jesus, I pray in your name.

Lord – I am thankful that by your grace I will reach 32 years old tomorrow. You are so faithful to me – thank you.

Hard thing: Well I am sick right now with a cold and it is uncomfortable, but besides that I really desire to enjoy a really close, closer relationship with Christ and I want that deeper intimacy – I’m not sure how to do it, or maybe sometimes I just want help.

Prayer request: Please pray that i won’t accuse myself or agree with the enemy; Please pray that instead of focusing on what is wrong, that I will be thankful and receive all the love that is coming my way. That i would also give in ways I am led to and that brings Jesus glory. Pray that that I would not succumb to distraction but really enjoy the Secret Place and that Psalms 91 would really be applied to and felt in my life.

Thanks for your prayers – sisters in Christ!
    Angie

  84. Hi Angie, I pray that that the enemies lies would be blocked and God’s truth would flood your soul and mind. That God would open your eyes to see the beauty her has place around you. Also that in your quiet time you would feel God neae you. Your desire for him makes him smile. I would ask for prayer for my son who in not walking with the Lord and I do beleive is under darkness and deception from the enemy. Pleae pray his eyes would be opened to truth and he would have a desire for God that is greater than any thing else in his life. Thanks very much

  85. Being so far away from opportunities to work and a need for income, without good transportation and the added mental stress and loneliness can leave us feeling hopeless and trapped. I’ve had some experience with it, too, and am so sorry you are going through this now. You know that God is with you and I ask that He will show you His fingerprints in your life, a tangible reminder of His care for you. Praying also that He will touch your body and mind, to give relief, rest and fill you with His hope and joy. God bless you, Susan.

My prayer request is healing for my husband and resolution of our living situation. My husband has been quite ill for over a year, in and out of hospital, surgeries, home health, in pain and unable to do much beyond bed rest. We are in a holding pattern for a possible move. Finances are stretched to nearly breaking. I am so tired. Yet I know that God loves us, cares for us and provides for every need. Please pray His will be done and that in all this our example will be for His honour and glory. Thank you.

  86. I choose to pray for each of the needs here, how could I choose just one… I feel we all need prayer including myself but today my heart is heavy for a special family in Ky… If you are on fb please go to Lane Goodwin page, He is an amazing young man age of 13 who is in the battle of his life… he has Cancer and oh how much he has had to endure… If you have a healthy family, and children take time today to slow down and love and hug those around you… pray for each of them, and please please pray for this young man and his family… they are in need of a miracle… and I believe God can grant that miracle if it is his plan… if we all join together as a community and believe that our God will hear and answer these requests…. Miracles can and do happen…

  87. My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult season. I pray that GOD give you and yours peace, comfort and strength during this time..

  88. I ask Lord Jesus Christ to fix me. Feel like living a life in a shell for a long long time due to family Health/Fortune loss caused due to cheating & Manipulation. Looking to settle down in life but feel misfit.

  89. I am in toxic work situation. Please pray that I find a job quickly. This job is impacting my physical, emotional and spiritual well being.

  90. What a special privilege to partner with others in prayer. Lord Jesus – I pray for this precious family in Ky that are going through such a hard thing. I pray that you will surround them with people who will support them with friendship, prayer as well as the practical helps that are such a blessing during a time like this. Thank you for connie and her partnership in prayer for this family. May your presence surround them in very personal ways.

I have a friend -Angelia – that I am partnering with to speak at a couple of women’s events in South Africa over the next several weeks. Angelia lost her 9 year old son and her mother in law in a tragic car accident a year ago this month. She is an amazing woman of God but I know this trip will not be easy for her and her husband. Please pray for the women that will be at these events and for Angelia and I that God will empty us out and enable us to walk worthy of the calling for which he has called us. The theme is “The Good Life” and I truly believe that we live the Good Life when we embrace a life lived for a higher purpose than ourselves. It’s not what we gain that brings significance – it’s what we give. Thank you for your partnership in prayer.

  91. My husband was a pastor, but recently left ministry and we moved to the house we owned in another town. After being jobless God blessed us both with work, although I would rather be at home with my preschool daughter. He has decided that he no longer believes in all that he once taught to others. I don’t know the words to say or what to do to help his unbelief. I think the church really hurt him and I am bitter and angry at God for this situation we are in. I feel like we spent so much of ourselves serving him and now we are burnt out and there is no more left of us. The denomination did not offer any kind of counseling or help when he left, which is something I think would greatly help him.

    • Praying for you and your husband, that the Holy Spirit will touch him and lead him back through whatever hurt him so badly, back into the arms of his Lord.

  92. Faye – I will be praying that God comforts your heart and that he opens a door for a job. I have been in a tough job situation myself and sometimes there are a lot of things that are out of our control, but I pray that God gives you the grace to guard your heart and to be able to control the things that are in your control until your outward circumstances change.

  93. To “A Mom” as I read your post – my heart so goes out to you and your husband. I’m sorry for what you have had to walk through. There is nothing as tough as family hurt (including the family of God).. I will be praying for you and your husband.

  94. Dear mom,why is it sometimes that those who are fellow believers wound us the most? I will pray for you and your husband, for healing and wisdom and return to the Lord. Please pray for our family. We are starting on the road to adoption ( after a miscarriage, followed by a prem baby and a second baby 18 minths later). I am really scared but know that God has His hand on this journey. Please pray for my fears ( particularly the fear that I may not love this child as much as my biological children) on this journey, our children’s acceptance of a new baby in the home, my family’s acceptance of an adopted child and most of all this new challenge my husband and I will face.

  95. Hi,

I’m asking for some prayers and encouragement at this point in my life. I”m a 2nd year medical student who is currently repeating the term and it is one of the most difficult terms here at school. Everytime I feel that I am moving one step forward in my work, something else comes and avalanches me. I am terrified of failing again as it is my last chance here at school and I yearn to become a doctor. The kind of doctor that people trust, want to listen to their problems, and find ways to help them improve their lives and health and to make that difference in helping them reach it. I find myself terrified at times and this ball of stress & panic that hits me in my stomach so paralyzing that I am unable to move & looking at the mountain of work and long journey in front of me. I find myself questioning a lot to why God gave me this difficult path to get to where I am and I think he has a plan, but I don’t know what it is. I’m just asking for some encouraging & positive thoughts and prayers to think about through the day so that I’m not despairing in my own thoughts here. I’m sorry for the long message, but I would really like to have some positivity around me here from the negativity & stress of school.

    • Dear Selene,

I’m so sorry that there is so much stress and pressure at medical school and that it’s so difficult with avalanches of obstacles! That’s so hard! It must be a very stressful environment. But I am so touched by what you wrote here about yearning to be a doctor, the kind of doctor that people trust and that listens to their problems and inspires them to change their lives and health–you have such a beautiful heart of compassion!! Surely God will richly reward your great desire to help others! I’m having some health problems right now in my life and am always especially grateful for the kindness and caring of doctors who have lots of empathy, so I really want to thank you for following God’s call to become a doctor, even when the journey is tough! It is truly a wonderful vocation, and surely God will help you succeed in it every step of the way in this new term! I pray that God will help you navigate successfully all the stresses and obstacles at school and that He will surround you with all that you need. Many blessings and hugs!

Dear Lord, I lift up to You Your beloved daughter and servant, Selene…..thanking You first of all for the extraordinary heart You have given her with such great love for You and for others and for her calling to be a doctor! Please wrap her in Your arms of love and embrace her so that she will feel Your presence guiding her along each and every step of this new term…please let her succeed with this new term and be able to become a doctor! Please give her all the support and sustenance she needs from You in order to do all that she needs to do with great success. Please also shower her with a sense of Your peace and joy in the midst of the stress and chaos of medical school…whenever she feels the environment is too negative, please be there for her, and with her, so that she can feel that You walk right beside her and are her Rock during the tough times. Please grant her such a profound sense of You and Your peace and love for her that she will be able to soar through any challenges she may encounter and triumph in the end. Please relieve the stress and fear that she feels, and give her tremendous trust and confidence in You, that she will always know that You Who have begun a good work in her will give her all that she needs in order to succeed! In Your Name I pray, Amen.

  96. Today, I give thanks for the awesome privilege and blessing to be able to pray for each and every one of these dear ladies and their many needs. God knows each of them and He cares for each of you. May He choose to answer in miraculous ways. If I may, I would like to call your attention to something you might have never heard about..we hear to check for lumps & bumps in our breasts; but, please pick them up and feel the area underneath; also. I recently had breast cancer surgery & my surgeon had never seen cancer here plus it did not show up on the mammogram because of the location. I will start chemo next week and I will have peace of mind if I know you get this information, check yourself and spread the word. Thanks for taking care of yourself.

    • Frances,

Thank you so much for sending out that post! I’m currently learning about different types of cancers in our class and we are constantly reminded by our professors that we will not always see the classical presentation that we learn about in theory. Thanks for sending that out as so many of us forget to check ourselves monthly and it’s so important as Breast cancer can grow very quickly once it metastasizes. I wish you the best of luck and sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts your way that the cancer will respond to the chemo. Please let us know how you are doing.

  97. Please pray for patience and wisdom for both me and my husband as we’re new to parenting (7 month old baby girl) and are both weary from long work hours. Though my “work” is staying home with our daughter, he works two jobs, which requires 3 – 16 hour days, so I can stay home with her. We both want to remain content with where God has us now, while hoping for a single job that has “normal” hours allowing a bit less stressful home life.

    • Praying for your young family as you travel down the parenting road. For your rest and for your peace as you begin to raise your family.

  98. For Frances, that God provides miracles through the doctors’ hands to take away her cancer. That she will be comforted before, during and after her surgery and chemo treatments by the love of God, her family and friends. Lord, today I thank you for my health. Amen!

  99. Please pray that I make start sleeping through the night again and loose the unwanted weight and become joyful again.

    • Donna, praying that you will get the rest you need, and that the weight will be lost. Especially praying that your joy would return and return in a big way. Amen!

  100. I am married to an unbeliever. As i am working on myself through Christian counseling and growing with Jesus, our relationship is growing distant and there are issues every time i turn around. Please pray for my husband, me and our marriage.

  101. Donna…..I’m so sorry that you’re having trouble sleeping through the night! That’s so tough. I pray that the Lord will enable you to get a wonderful sleep and that He will grant you peace and trust in Him so that you can sleep through the night easily. I pray that You will know and experience His blessings in every area of your life right now and that He will bring healing to you, body, mind, and spirit! Many blessings and hugs!

Dear Lord, I lift up to You Your beloved daughter and servant Donna, praying that You will hold her close and help her to feel Your love and Your presence and Your peace….that You will enable her to get to sleep easily and to start sleeping through the night easily. Help her to know that You are never more than a prayer away and that she can always call out to You for help. Please help her also to lose the unwanted weight–give her all the motivation and strength and courage she needs in order to do that, and show her the right steps she should take to lose the unwanted weight….restore her to perfect health and wholeness! And please fill her with Your joy, Lord, the joy that only You can give….make her joyful again! Please grant her a sense of Your love and peace and joy that will refresh her spirits! Grant her Your joy, Lord, and Your peace, the peace which only You can give! Be with her, Lord, and help her to feel Your presence always! In Your Name I pray, Amen.

  102. I would like to request prayers for my friend Kelly who is in a very urgent, dire legal situation….she has recently lost custody of her two children through absolutely no fault of her own through a very unjust court ruling and desperately needs to get an appeal to regain custody of them, but isn’t sure if she has the money for the appeal or if it will be successful. Please pray that she will be able to get the appeal and that it will be successful or that she will through some other way, somehow, regain custody of her children as soon as possible….that she will regain custody and that God will show her the steps she needs to take to do that. Please also pray that God would support and uphold her in the meantime and that she will regain custody of the children as soon as possible. Thank you so much!

    • Katy,

Thank you so much for sending me the prayers! I really appreciated it as it lifted up my day that there are other women that are supporting women that they don’t know. I am sending prayers for your friend Kelli that she will find the money, support and people that God will send to her to help her regain custody of her children. Though it may be a long battle, God will send people and ways to help her out.

      • Selene,

I am so glad that my prayers have been uplifting for you! I will continue to pray for you! I agree–it’s so wonderful to have a community like this with women supporting other women from afar, as everyone is one Body in Christ! Thank you also so much for prayers for my friend–I really appreciate it! Blessings!

  103. This past August I suddenly lost my precious Mom who was also my best friend! Even though I know she is safely in the arms of the Savior and is not suffering anymore the hole and the emptiness that are left behind are sometimes unbearable. Even though I know all the right answers to all the questions and the thoughts racing through my mind the fact is, it just plain hurts! The worst part is the person I would tell all that to was my Mom and now I can’t. I have a wonderful family who is trying very hard to help but it still hurts!

    • My Dearest Maryann

My heart goes out to you and I truly feel your pain – I totally understand as my Mom is my very best friend as well. I share everything with her as you used to. I pray that our Great God will bring you peace and comfort so that you may feel His presence now more than every, Maryann. It’s hard, this narrow road we walk on, sometimes beyond our understanding. It’s part of our journey towards our own destiny of total freedom!

I would like to ask for prayer for the true salvation of my x partner. He is and has been causing huge hurt, emotional, mental and financial on myself and my children over the last nearly 3 years. It feels like it’s never going to stop. Prayer that the Lord will bind his evil thoughts and give him peace.

      Blessings
      Elna

  104. Please pray for my marriage. We have been arguing for so long and we are losing hope. I want to be the wife that he needs and I long for the love and security of a healthy marriage.

    • Heavenly Father, please help Carolyn and her husband to find peace through your loving healing for their marriage. Guide them in your way, and bring them along in your wisdom. Please give Carolyn strength and comfort in her days ahead. Bless their marriage with your love.

  105. My Dearest Maryann

My heart goes out to you and I truly feel your pain – I totally understand as my Mom is my very best friend as well. I share everything with her as you used to. • Elna, I pray that God will speak to your x partner and change his heart, mind, and actions. I also pray that you and your children will feel the Lord’s peace while in the middle of this storm. I was encouraged by a church friend to turn my x’s “ridiculousness” over to God and trust God to handle it in his own time. It did seem like forever, but eventually, he intervened in a major way!

      Peace be with you,
      Sadira

  106. I’ve been unemployed for almost a year and seldom hear anything back. Even my Christian friends are baffled, saying that God must have something great in store for me. I’ve been battling depression since my divorce several years ago, but things were looking up until the job loss. I know people are going through much worse conditions, but I really feel like giving up. It’s a struggle to get out of bed daily and I want to throw my laptop out of the window. I feel like I’ve done every Bible study, prayed every prayer, read every inspirational book to where I’m worn out and the words don’t mean anything anymore. Asking for prayer to stay the course and that God will show me what he’s doing.

    • Dear Sadira…thank you for the privilege to pray for you! My prayers are that you will feel the refreshing of God’s presence like big beautiful drops of water falling on parched ground! I pray you see His fingerprints everywhere as He is saying “My dear Sadira, I love you, my beloved one!” As the hymn writer wrote so long ago…”Look full in His wonderful face…and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.” Sadira, I wish you could come over and share a cup of warm tea and a muffin with me..but, better yet, may you crawl up into Father God’s lap and let Him stroke your hair and refresh your soul…you are loved! Your sister, Becky J.

  107. Dear Sister in Christ, would you pray for my dear Momma, Ruth, a most beautiful pastor’s wife of 30+ years, who has been battling non-Hodgkins lymphoma for the last year and a half…she was initially told she had 3 months to live…A million years with my Momma wouldn’t be too many…she is so precious and I thank you for your prayers..love, Becky

    • Becky,

I am praying for you and your sweet mom! I have not been in your situation, but I can imagine the worry and heartache of seeing your parent go through such an illness. I pray for healing and comfort for your mother, as well as strength and peace for you and your family during this time. Praying that you will see God’s mighty hand at work in your lives!

      Blessings,
      Erin

  108. I have been going through a trial of darkness for the last 2 years and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Some days I have trouble trusting that God is in control and my faith is weakened. I know that He, and only He, knows when it will end and the outcome but I ask for prayers that I keep walking in trust and faith knowing that God never, ever will leave me, that He loves me and will see me through this troubling time in my life.

Becky, I will certainly pray for your Momma Ruth. I lost my father to non-Hodgkins lymphoma and know what you and your family are going through. My prayers are with you all.

    • Dear Lynn, thank you…thank you so much for praying for my Momma! May you feel God’s loving arms around you as He gently lifts your head to Him and you are bathed in His pure love-that never wavers. I pray you are refreshed in His presence this very evening and that you can “rise up on wings like eagles…run and not grow weary”…and find rest. My heart is always so comforted to know that Jesus’ name is above every name..over the name of death/cancer/abandonment/depression…we can fill in the blank…Jesus’ name is above _________!! Hallelujah!

  109. To Laura, I know how you are feeling, I lost my first child a daughter Sarah but then went on to have two healthy children a daughter and son. May you feel God’s loving arms around you and know He is in control . May your faith be strong during this difficult time.
I would value prayer as I go into hospital on Wednesday for surgery for breast cancer. I have 3 grandchildren who are under 3 and would love to see them go into young adults. I know God is there and cling to Exodus 15:26 I am the Lord who heals you.

  110. My husband of 31yrs decided to choose legal separation. He is an ordained minister and works with college students. He is against marriage counseling. I feel as though he has never forgiven me of my past mistakes and is using that now as an exuse to leave me. I also have an incurrable illness which has been hard on him I am sure. He says he is done and isn’t even allowing God to re-unite us. He is still in the ministry and I am having a hard time understanding the spiritual aspect of legal separation. If I have done such an unpardonable sin that he can justify with legal separation, why not just divorce me? I pray that God would soften his heart towards me and that he would be delivered from His pride and his unrepentant heart from hitting me and from any of my past and for putting his ministry before his marriage and family. I also pray that God would bless him and be with me on this new journey of being single. We have 2 kids, 30 and 28.
Dear God, I pray that You would wrap Your loving arms around Elna and that You would hold her tight keep her close to You. Be with her during this difficult time and surround her with Your loving-kindness and peace. Please provide for her emotional and financial needs as only You can. Protect her children’s hearts and allow them all to walk with You and bless them above and beyond anything that they could imagine. I pray for her ex, that You would allow him to accept the Lord Jesus Christ into his heart and that he would begin to follow You whole-heartedly. Convict him of sin and righteousness and bind any evil thoughts that would prohibit him from following You and Your abundandt peace. Thank you O, Lord, that where two or more are gathered in your name, that You hear our prayers. Thank you that You never leave us nor forsake us.
    Because He Lives

  111. Dear Susan…..How my heart aches for the problems you are having with your disabled son and his father. I have begun prayers for you and I know that the Holy Spirit will guide you and your husband through this very difficult time. I’m glad the church members will speak with him. That may help him take on a new and more helpful response to your son. Meanwhile, put this entirely in the hands of Jesus and your answers will come. God bless you and your family now and always.

  112. I’m going through menopause and I’m real emotional. My kids live in another state so hearing about things sometimes is really hard because I can’t just drop everything and leave. Not to mention I hardly get to see my grand kids. When they come they drop everything at the door and leave everything on me to do. I hardly get to visit with preparing meals and so forth. It is the same when I go to their houses. I take care of a lot of details trying to help but then I never get a visit. I just feel so mixed up emotionally and feel so much hurt.

  113. We would appreciate your prayers of agreement, for our 48 yr. old son Billy, he had a major stroke which paralyzed him on the left side, in June. They are really struggling financially because his wife had to quit her job to help him. They are raising their 9 yr. old granddaughter also. We’re believing God for healing in body and finances. The Bible says when 2 or 3 agree as touching anything it shall be done, so thank you for your prayers of agreement. I pray God also meet all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. May God richly bless each one.

  114. Bettie,
Will be praying that your Son is restored and Blessed…Am sending healing prayers your way, praying for your Son, and his family for strength, and sending prayers to you too….Hang in there….God is Amazing in His Love for Us.

Would like to ask for prayers, that my marriage will be restored. I am trying so hard to deal with his affair, but am struggling with doing the right thing and so wanting to expose them at the same time…..Only Gods will be done not mine….Please keep me in your prayers.

  117. This week we found out that our sweet great nephew Hudson who is only 14 months old, is going to be battling cancer for the second time in his young life. The odds are not as good for him this time. Please pray for him, and his Mama and Daddy, grandparents too.

    • Praying for God’s healing hand for Hudson. Praying for his family as as they walk this road that is set before them, that they will feel your loving arms to comfort, strengthen and guide them.

  118. Christina I will pray for you, your family, and husband.

I am thankful for the Lord’s grace and mercy that is renewed to me daily and for my family. My prayer request would be for the Cervantes Family my baby sisters family of four and a half. The combination of finances needed is 16,000.00 and 5000.00 is needed before Monday at 9:00 am. Lord we trust you.

  119. For Christina A
Lord I pray for restoration for this family. That you bring this man back to his family with a new heart and a yearning to be the father you would have him be. Lord protect and be with Christina as she works through these struggles. May she feel your hand in hers and may she find comfort knowing that you will never ever leave her or forsake her. In Jesus precious name Amen.
    For Andrea
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Lord I claim this for little Hudson and his Mummy and Daddy. In Jesus Name, cancer be gone from Hudson’s body. Make every unclean cell be swept away and may he be restored to perfect health. Thank You Jesus our Saviour. Amen
    For Malica
Lord your financial help is needed for Malica and the Cervantes family at this time. Please hear the urgent call for financial restoration. In Jesus Name Amen.
    For me.
My husband and I who have been married for 42 years are going through a rough patch in our marriage at the moment. I would like prayer for kindness and gentleness in the words we speak to one another. Help for us to understand each others needs and for the deep love of our Lord to have it’s way in our lives. I very much appreciate my Christian sisters who would take the time to pray this need for me.
    Bless you all, Gail

    • Gail…May the One who set the example for marriage be the focal point of your relationship. I pray He would make His presence known to you and your hubby as you discuss and “hash things out”… may He give you both wisdom and tenderness towards each other. You have each been entrusted with caring for the heart of the other…guard it well.
love and blessings to you for many more happy years together !

  120. My prayer request is not for myself, but for my very dearest friend. She has returned to school at 54 to become a nurse in hopes of having the opportunity to care for others as a career..the only real issue is financial….times are hard yet she knows that God provides. Pray for her peace and provision so that she can focus on her studies….she is an excellent student and an amazing, Godly woman I admire and am proud to call my friend!

    • Prayers being said for your sweet friend, Ce. Prayers also for you, that you may be the encouraging friends she needs during these difficult, yet exciting(!), times. (:

  121. In May I move to a foreign country for a year to teach a special needs boy in the mornings and work with a non-profit in the afternoons. It is going to be hard work, and I am both giddy with anticipation and anxious and nervous and scared. The evil one is hard at work in Cambodia, and he has already started attacking me as I prepare to go. It’s daunting, this support raising and pitching reasons to people, hoping they see the need as much as I do. Daunting, and discouraging.

So please, pray for encouragement. That’s really it. Encouragement and for me to keep pressing in and following hard after the King who has led me this far.

    • Good luck! I am currently living overseas, so I know how daunting the task can seem. You will find friends and support in the most unexpected places. may you have a rewarding and fulfilling experience

  122. Ce – Praying for your friend, especially that God would pour out financial blessings that she can’t even begin to imagine. Praying that He will knock her socks off with the money coming in for her to pursue her passions.

My request is for our business. We’re working on some ways to expand it and reach into new areas. My husband and I work together, and we want to honor God with our work and support our family and His work with the income.

  123. Oh Megan… Press on! Praying that God showers down blessings and opens doors in ways that you can’t begin to imagine. Then to Him goes all the glory! Praying against the evil schemes that discourage and keep you from being who and where God wants you to be.

    • I’m sorry Melinda,

I don’t understand, is this a prayer request? I read the story about Tara! I’m so glad to know that she is strong in the faith and moving forward!

Thank you for sharing the story

      • The story was meant to be sent to Laura, but for some reason the comment I included with the link didn’t go through. Praying for Laura and thought she might be encouraged by this story. The story encouraged me to continue to pray and to believe . I need healing in my life. I need joy and vision and patience, and most of all, humility. Pride is a terrible thing, and when it gets imbedded into your very being. Praying to walk in humility. True humility, not false. By the grace of God.

  124. Pray that I will continue striving to be the woman that God wants me to be. That I will be faithful to the tasks that He has put before me, and that my business will get off to a flourishing start.

    • Angela, sister, praying all these things! May God just open up the floodgates and rain blessing after blessing upon you and your business. That you would also remain faithful, and bold – brave to follow wherever He leads you and whatever He asks of you. Love.

  125. Jennifer I pray that your business will be blessed by the Lord as you trust Him to guide you both in honouring Him in your business activities and the income you create.

Please pray for a new mission our Church is moving into for the marginalised in our community called “more than a meal”. Pray that those of us who have promised to be involved will be able to overcome our fears and concerns and be welcoming and open to those who come along.

  126. Hello mighty women of God. Thank you for this opportunity. After reading some of the prayer requests I feel like mine is so insignificant. But I know that there is no ‘small’ prayer with God.

So please pray that God will open a door for me to find a job. I would particularly like to work for the SA Embassy in DC but I also want to be in God’s will. So please help me pray for a job that He chooses for me and that I will be able to recognize it when I see it. Thank you so much. I’ll be praying with you all.

    God bless

    • Charity,
I was reading back through the prayer requests and I saw yours. I will lift you up in my prayers this week. My you see the path that you should take; may the right doors open so that you know exactly what the will of God is for your work.

  127. Lord Jesus, please fill Susan and those she is embarking on this new mission with, with Your Holy Spirit. I pray that You will bless their efforts and fill them with Your grace as they serve You. Guide them Lord, and remind them frequently that you have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love and discipline. To see this project through they will need all of these Lord. In Your Name I pray, Amen.

Please pray for my three year old son. He woke up this morning with a 102 degree fever. He is just not his little self today! I have a tendency to be fearful when my children are sick. So I have been meditating on 2Timothy1:7 today. Peace for this mama heart please.

    • Praying for this little one as he is sick. Praying for his mom not to have fear, but to have peace and reassurance as she hands over his care to the Great Physician.

  128. Lord, I pray for Charity as she looks for a job, because that is also my request.

Jobs are hard to find, and I have been out of work for awhile now, so I am less marketable unless God intervenes. Charity, the Lord knows our every need and our every desire. He will provide in His time. Ours is to have patience while we wait. And, of course, we need to do our do diligence in getting our resume’ out there. May God bless you abundantly in the days to come and may you return that blessing to others.

  129. Dear Renee, I am and have been; praying for your sweet little 3 year old with the fever! I pray that the Lord will give you BOTH peace and you can sleep tonight. Sometimes a peaceful night of sleep is the best medicine. If you both should wake, sometime those middle of the night rocking your sweet boy, can be the assurance of His faithfulness that a worried Mamma’s heart needs! I’m a nurse in a busy ER and sometimes fill in for the “Peds. Nurse”. Know that a baby’s temp. can shoot up in a blink of an eye! (kids are famous for that!) It is by God’s design that a little one can fight off what ever bug or virus that is bombarding him right now! I had”only” 4 children. And I know that some Dr.s don’t go for medicating a fever (because it’s the body’s design to “cook” the virus out) but, my kids would be cranky, lethargic and miserable with a fever. Give them a little tylenol and they’re running around like nothing ever was wrong!! Still, a child sick at night seems 10 times worse! Praying that all will be well in the morning!

  130. I am grateful for grace. I know that sounds trite but where would we be without it? Please pray for our family. My hours have been cut drastically leaving us a bit financially strapped. Also, my husband is facing a ministry decision. Please pray that we remain faithful to the One who is faithful to us.

  131. Hello,
I lost my husband a year and half ago and I feel that I have lost the spring in my step and days that gloom hangs over me causing heart palpitations and no appetite.
I pray for God to give me a sound mind to go on but days are hard.

  132. Dear Carolyn – I am sorry for the pain and loneliness you feel since losing your husband. I pray that the love of Jesus would comfort you in a deep healing way. I encourage you to surround yourself with praise music, with the promises of God’s word (especially the Psalms) and with things that bring you laughter……I know that may sound odd but God desires for us to walk in joy and abundance of life and even in this new, challenging season, I believe God will empower you to live life abundantly, not in your own strength but in a very dependent way on Jesus – trusting him to heal your heart and trusting him to fill your life with his peace, his joy, his love. Take life one day at a time.

  133. Dear Carolyn;
I can sense your pain. May God bless you for being strong enough to share such heartache so openly. He is the only One who can truly understand because He knows YOU inside and out. Please hold on with hope for the day when all things will be made clear. 1 Corinthians 13:12 Please seek medical help or if your weight gets too low

  134. Laura, there are no words to express my condolences and sympathy for you.
I am truly sorry for your loss. I pray that The Lord will comfort, heal, protect, carry, sustain and help you through this difficult time.
Just remember that even when we face the darkest moments in our life, His light shines even as bright as the morning. May He light the way for your path even during this season of your life.
    He is your PEACE…
Reflect on the one set of footprints in the sand……He is carrying you Laura

  135. Today I am thankful for a couple of happy evenings with some new friends. It has taken a long time to make even one friend in this area, so I appreciate it more than ever.

Please pray for my mental health. I’m struggling (big time) with some body issues, and I feel the cloud of seasonal depression beginning to form. I am anxious about winter and the holidays approaching and my ability to keep myself pulled together. Last year was rough.

Also, if you could pray for my son who is battling ear problems. There is a strong possibility that he will need another surgery soon if antibiotics cannot clear up his infection. Pray for healing and wisdom as we make some difficult decisions regarding his hearing.

    Thank you so much.

  136. Praying for your wisdom and peace as you make decisions about your son’s ear problems. Also praying for you as you enter this season, that the health issues you faced last year will not reappear this year. For God’s healing hand on your life, and on whatever issues you are facing. He is able to heal, and is always with us. He will never leave or forsake you. He loves you so much!

  137. Lord, we pray for Wendy in this difficult time. Thank you for the hours she DOES have, and allow that money to stretch to cover their needs. Give her husband wisdom with this ministry decision. And surround him with wise people who can help him make a wise decision.

My sweet 8 year old son is coming home this week from a 13 day stay in a psych hospital. Doctors have gone back and forth between schizophrenia and autisms…..finally they have settled on mood disorder with psychotic features amd suicidal ideations, Asperger’s, and ADHD. Please pray his medication cocktail is finally right. Pray for an easy transition home. Pray the school will finally provide the modifications he needs. And pray for peace for all of us. My girls are scared of their brother….we have safety plans in place, but its not fun living in the middle of a burricane…..alll…..the…..time….

    • Praying God’s peace for you and your sweet little boy. My heart cries for you and the struggles of your journey. May God show himself strong and His swift healing hand cover your family.

  138. Thank you to everyone that shared and everyone that prayed. I hope we all gained a little bit of peace from this today.

  139. Please pray that God will continue to show Himself and guide me. I am a single mother of two beautiful, strong-willed children. My teenager and I are having growing pains and, oh my, are they ever painful. I struggle with how to handle the bitter-sweet letting go and pushing away that comes with growing up. I want him to be independent, confident, & responsible; and at the same time I miss my little boy that snuggled with me every night. Please pray for me as I forge ahead on this motherhood journey!

  140. My husband and I serve in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. We are moving back to Texas in December. Our life is a life of saying hello and good bye. It is painful to leave, but I am excited to be near biological family again. Please pray for our transition.

  141. My relationship with my husband is very strained right now. I ask for prayer that I would become the godly woman God wants me to be so that I can be a better wife. I also ask for prayer for my husband; that God would soften his heart and heal this marriage.

    • Christy, I lift both you and your husband up to the Lord Jesus right now. I pray that both of you will be so drawn to Jesus that His love will heal all wounds. May your love for the Father soften both heart so that each of you will focus on the other’s needs first. May God draw you close to Him and reveal to you how to be a better wife and live in a way that reflects the godly woman you already are. May your husband seek after God’s heart and learn how to become the spiritual leader of your family. In the name of Jesus, I ask for healing for this marriage. (((hugs)))

  142. I ask for prayer for healing and protection. I feel like I am under a spiritual attack right now with multiple trials coming my way. The most prevalent one is that I pulled my back out 2 weeks ago. The doctor on Friday said that I “might” have a herniated disc. I am willing to get the MRI and go to physical therapy because I want to get answers for my pain and strengthen my body. However, I am not claiming that diagnosis. I know that God is my Creator, my Physician, and my Healer. I ask for healing in the name of Jesus!

  143. Ashley, I lift you up in prayer for healing of your back and that God will have a solution for you that will be the best for your back and that will strengthen you in ways that you never thought possible. I ask that God provide you with the financial means to take care of yourself properly and to provide for your family. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Phillipines 4:19
    In Jesus mighty name,
    Judy

  144. Hello,
I am asking for prayer for my husband and I and our marriage. We have been married 21 years, and were separated for three of those years. For all essential purposes, we are divorced emotionally, though still living together. I don’t even know what to pray anymore, and my hope is at an all-time low. I LONG for the love, security and intimacy that a marriage should provide, but it just doesn’t happen, and my husband does not seem interested in meeting my most basic needs or finding out how we can make things better together. Depression, anger, frustration and despair area a daily battle for me. Please pray that I will remain faithful to the Lord, and that He will change both me and my husband. We need a miracle!
    Thank you! Beth M.

    • God bless you Beth for hanging in there. God does have a purpose for you and for your marriage. The enemy would only hope to steal that love you have that keeps you in the battle. I will be praying for you and your husband. I understand very well what you are feeling like, been there myself just last year. Get to counseling if you can and check out Joycemeyer.com she has a new book on marriage. Another book I read was “Never Give Up” by Joyce meyer. Love you, and never give up God has something good for you around the corner. God Bless, Judy

  145. Please pray for my whole family, especially my daughter who has been though a lot of illnesses, she is going through a lot of past hurts that have recently surfaced during counseling from when she was a very small child and suffered abuse from a so called family friend. Please help me to know what to say to help her overcome this. Help me to forgive myself for not knowing and protecting my child.

    • Judy,
Thank you for your prayers for me! I pray that God will release you from this prison of regret and show you how to forgive yourself. I pray that God will allow you to see the big picture in all this. Do not let the lie that you are to blame have power over you. How could you have known? God was at work then and He is at work now. Praise Jesus that your daughter is seeking counseling to work through all this. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
I also lift up your daughter and ask for healing from her illnesses, and healing for her past. 2 Corinthians 5:17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
God bless your whole family and may they become stronger and closer together and with their relationship with God through this situation.
(I was abused as a child too, Judy. God used it for good. It is not my identity, my identity is in Jesus. Both of you can overcome this if you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is the only source of hope and healing.)
      (((hugs))) and love, Ashley

  146. Pray for protection from spiritual attacks, and God’s covering and hand of grace at work for me and my sister.

    • God protect Harumi and her precious sister. Give them guidance in whatever area they are in need of help. God you were able to set the sun, moon and stars in the sky you are able and willing to help your precious children when we pray.
      In Jesus name we pray,

      judy

  147. I need comfort and guidance from the Lord..I don’t know where my life is going. My heart and life are broken and I fear losing heart. Then I broke my foot that doesn’t seem to want to heal..I need to get back to work, I have no one to take care of me, my heart aches. God bless and thank you for praying.

    • Gerry,
May God surround you with His comfort and guidance. May He heal your broken heart and your broken foot. God, please send loving and caring people into Gerry’s life to bless and help. I will continue to pray for you.

  148. I am a bit germophobic. I am fairly certain that one of my roommates (I’m in college and thought I was lucky to get a spot in the res hall this year–now I’m just scared) has had the stomach flu since at least Friday morning. That is pretty much the worst trigger for my germophobic anxiety. The anxiety has kept me from drinking any water since Thursday night since I am afraid that my waterbottles, having been in my room, are contaminated, and I don’t know what sinks or drinking fountains someone sick might have used, so I haven’t been able to get myself to use those for water or to wash my waterbottles. I was up all last night partly due to anxiety and partly due to the dehydration, and I just need some comfort and peace from God to break through this anxiety. My reaction to germs has changed a lot recently–I used to wash my hands over and over every five minutes or so until they bled, but now I have the no drinking water thing, which while not as inconvenient is probably more damaging to my body–I don’t feel like I’m respecting God’s home in my body. Basically just pray that my roommate isn’t sick, that my other roommates and I don’t get sick, and that my anxiety can fall to a more manageable level. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and pray for me…I definitely need and appreciate it.

    • VA – praying for you to be healed of this stressful condition that leaves you spending so much time worrying. Many colleges offer some kind of counseling to their students. Fear of any kind is hard. Remember, God’s perfect love for you can help you cast away your fears of germs and the sicknesses that they may bring. You are in His perfect will. He is strong to take care of you.

      • Thank you so much for your prayer and kind words. I am in counseling, but I’m in it for social anxiety right now, because expressing myself verbally is quite difficult…I have wanted help with my fear of germs for a long time, but bringing it up proves too difficult so until I can talk more easily, God is the only one who can really help me conquer germophobia.

        • VA, I am currently in an online Bible study that helps with food addictions called The Lord’s Table. It teaches a Biblical way to overcome a struggle that seemed impossible for so many years. They also have other resources for overcoming other obstacles and there is one called The Cross Centered Mind that might help you. The best part is the online course is completely free! http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com God bless you as you search for freedom through Jesus Christ!

    • Dear VA,

I’m so sorry to hear of your germ fears–I totally relate because I have the same germ fears myself! I have a rather weak immune system so am totally terrified by any kind of germs or anyone near me who has any! So your post really resonated with me….I’m so sorry to hear about your fears, but I completely understand. I pray that God can help you to trust Him so that the fear can subside and that you can feel His presence, especially right now. If you ever want to talk about any of this or request prayers, my email address is: quinn103@gmail.com. Hugs and many blessings! –Katy Quintal

  149. Hi, my cousin ANGELICA ESPITIA was betrayed and abandoned by her husband who after confessing his infidelity moved to Panama and though he continues to provide for her and the kids, he refuses to even talk to her and stated that if she attempts to follow him she would be nothing to him but the children’s caretaker. She is currently with her two boys (both under 14y.o.) in Costa Rica. She is sick, hurt, so desperate. Please pray to the Lord to convict that man’s heart and to use this situation to grant them all saving grace, true faith, and, of course, protection and provision, help, guidance she and the kids may need to face all legal issues and be able to return to her family in Colombia so desperate too to help her in this tragedy.

    • Myriam,
Oh how I know this pain all to well. I pray that Jesus will give Angelica a peace that passes all understanding, a hope for a future because He knows the plans He has for her, plans to prosper her hope. I also pray for her sons that He carries them under the shadow of His wings and places Godly men in the gap to guide them until her family is restored and renewed.

I know God, His ways are not our ways, His plans are not our plans. His ways are higher and His plans are better and exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever hope or imagine for ourselves. Please tell Angelica she is beautiful and Jesus is with her.

      In Christ,
      Ali

  150. My husband left me over a year ago. I pray for healing, health and hope in this situation. I pray for God’s will.

I stand firm in my belief that marriage is a covenant vow. I pray that I will do what is right in God’s eyes for my life and that I see my husband as Jesus does with love, compassion and hope for a future. I am thankful for my husband and I ask prayer for his salvation.

    • I praise you God for Ali’s devotion to you and to her husband. I pray you will strengthen her while the holy Spirt works in her husbands heart. I pray that you will bring her husband to your feet in whatever way you choose, sparing his life but granting him eternity. I pray you bring Ali peace and help her see her husband in your light granting him supernatural grace and mercy. In your precious name I pray. Amen

  151. I praise God for prayer and for the change I see in my husband.
Pray for husbands addiction to pills, that he will not stop fighting the good fight and that this is his last relapse.

  152. Please pray for my young nieces (19 & 25) Kayla & Morgan. Their dad committed suicide last weekend and they are having a very rough time coping.

    • God please comfort this family in this time of tragedy. The WHY may never be answered on this side but You are able to give peace that surpasses the moments when we don’t understand.

  153. Please pray that my personal situation begins to improve I’m a single mom and I lost my job, went through a terrible divorce and custody battle. Things have been very tight money-wise. I trying to ave faith and give up control, but I am so very scared. Please pray I can put my full faith in God. If any one has scriptures or songs that might help please let me know about them. Thank you and God bless.

    • Hi Kimberly,

My heart aches for you and all the prayer requests listed in this site. I have been through battles I surely never imagined I would face in my life. I am still facing battles! I found 2Chronicles 20:15 very powerful to stand on in my road to trusting the Lord for victory in these battles. I took this except from David Wilkerson online: YOUR BATTLE IS THE LORD’S (see 2 Chronicles 20:15)
The reason I am writing this is to remind you the battle you are facing is not yours, but God’s. If you are a child of his, you can be certain that Satan will “rage against you.”
In 2 Chronicles 20, a great multitude came against God’s people. King Jehoshaphat and his people set their hearts to seek the Lord and to fast. The king cried out to God a prayer that most of us have prayed at times in our spiritual journey: “We have no might against these that come against us, neither do we know what to do; but our eyes are upon you” (20:12). “The Spirit of God came in the midst of the congregation…saying, Be not afraid nor dismayed…for the battle is not yours, but God’s (20:14-15).m David Wilkerson.
      My prayers are with you.
      Linda

  154. Hi I am thankful for who God is! I’m thankful for life for his mercy his grace. I just want ask please pray for my aunt and my cousin that God restores there relationship and brings healing to there hearts. Pray also for friend that lost her mom to cancer this week.

  155. Praying for your aunt and your cousin’s relationship to be restored peaceably, and for the Lord to heal through loving communication, to put it on their hearts to reach out to one another setting aside differences. I pray for your friend who lost her mom, for the comfort of the Holy Spirit to envelop her with warmth and strength.
Im thankful for my family and how far they’ve come. I would like to ask for good health and strength as I have an ongoing back condition that hinders me sometimes, for progress and positive breakthru’s at my work, to keep listening to His small voice and trust all is well and not to worry about the future but cast all my cares upon Him for He cares for me.
Thank you. May the Lord bless you and continue to shine His face upon each one of you.
    Catherine

  156. Catherine, I am praying for your back to strengthen, and for God’s breaker anointing to go before you at work to clear a path in all that He has planned for you and that you will abide always in the shadow of His wings. In Christ’s name I pray.

My prayer request is for discernment and wisdom. Am I submitting to all that He has planned for me or do I have my own ambition pressing into areas that He has not called me to possess? Or is the answer from the Lord, “Not Yet”? I feel frustrated.

  157. Catherine, praying that God blesses you and your family with good health and strength, mentally, physically and spiritually. A special blessing prayer for your back condition.
“Keep listening to His small voice and trust all is well and not to worry about the future”. This part of your comment spoke to me the most.
I am thankful for a husband who is very patient with me.
I have been struggling for quite some time with worry, which I believe has contributed to some recent health issues for me…most noticeably, hair loss. I often feel guilty asking God to bless me with more hair when He has already given me so many blessings in my life.
I ask for your prayers for my family, especially my two teenage boys, may they always do God’s will & for me to always see all the good God does for me everyday.

  158. I was lucky enough to learn of this website on twitter and after reading all of these heart breaking stories that all of these amazing women are having to face I am brought to tears and want to offer my heartfelt support and prayers to each of you. I wanted to request prayers for myself as well but feel that my struggle is so small in comparison to what most of you on here are dealing with. That being said I will ask very humbly, because I am in need of support and prayers to mend my very damaged heart and spirit. In a nutshell, the man who I thought was the love of my life and who I thought I was going to marry, lied to and deceived me and left me with a very broken heart. But what I struggle with most is the remaining connection I still feel to him although he has moved on to someone new. My faith tells me to trust the Lord, that He must have taken this man out of my life for good reason and for His will to be done but I am struggling with my ability to truly believe that and remain faithful in truly trusting God. I feel so hurt, sad and guilty all at the same time. This might sound small and petty compared to all of the “real” struggles and loss out there but for me, this loss is more painful than any other loss I’ve suffered in the past. Any prayers for healing, renewed faith and comfort would be greatly appreciated! May God be with all of you!

    • Lord, be with Shannon, help her to see you more clearly through this. You are the mender of the brokenhearted. Let her draw closer to you. Shannon, God will never fail you. Trust him. He knows. He wants the best for you. He loves you beyond compare. Press into God and feel his love for you. Amen

    • Shannon,

I have been exactly where you are – and no.. what you are going through is not petty. It’s pain, pure and simple. I still struggle with the hurt of being replaced but truly know that he was not on the path Jesus has for me. Sometimes it’s the biggest hurts that can bring about the greatest healing, and bring us closer to God. Stay strong and with time, you will get through this. Just remember to have patience, healing takes time.

When this happened to me, I chose to volunteer. This got me out of the house and allowed me to do something for other people. It took my mind off of everything and brought joy to those I served (and joy to me as well!).

🙂 I’m glad you found this site and shared!

  159. We have tickets to fly to see my family. We live in Alaska so we only get to go once a year. My dad is in a nursing home and can no longer come to see us, so it’s important that we go. I had surgery almost a month ago and I’m doing well, but still recovering. My husband and my younger son have a virus. They are getting better, but they still have a very deep, hard cough. The cough is affecting my son’s asthma. Please pray that we have a good flight down and that we are able to enjoy our time with our family. Thank you.

    • Dear Lord…please heal Kat and her family! Please clear the way ahead of them so that their trip is blessed my Your presence.

  160. I am 66 and in very poor health – Please pray for healing for me. My 40 year old daughter and my two glorious grandsons, Cole-19 and Noah-11 live here with me and I would love to be here for them.

    ♥♥♥
    Sue

  161. I will pray for you Sue Anderson and that you are healed by the Lord and regain your full health. I also pray for you kristyk. Um…your comment only has the letter “i” but God knows what you need so I trust in Him to take care of it.
I need a church where I will be accepted and make new friends. I also have some health issues I need to be healed from. Thanks!

  162. Almost three years ago I lost my sister Lyn to cancer (we are BRACA +), I survived mine, she did not. She was my best friend, my horseback riding buddy and my little sister. I am still so broken I cry still. Now my friend Nancy, who’s house and barn is where my horse lives and my riding buddy too, is fighting aggressive Multiple Myleoma. She has young children, and is fighting like crazy. Tomorrow she goes in Moffitt Cancer Center again for 6 more days of Super Chemo… #2 of 4 Big Blasts trying to get her well enough for a Bone Marrow Transplant. BMT is her best hope of survival… Pray God gives her more time with her children, quality time. Pray I am strong enough to do this again… I feel weak.

    • Jan,
May Father God surround you, your sister and your families with His love so that you have the fortitude to help your sister through this.

  163. Praying for healing and strength for Nancy, and for you too Jan! I’m struggling with loving my husband with the love of Christ. I am so humbled by how hard marriage is sometimes. My desire for a baby sometimes overshadows my desire to love my husband with unselfish love. Please ask the Lord to put 1 Corinthians love in me.

    • Melissa,
prayers are heading your way. i don’t know if you are struggling with infertility or not, but I can relate to your comment – it is such an emotional, physical and spiritual roller coaster. I pray that Father God holds you and your husband close and guides your marriage.

  164. I am a working mom with a husband who works very long hours and a daughter who has ADHD. I am asking for prayers to help me become the woman God wants me to be so I can be a better wife and mom.I am also asking for prayers that I may find my spiritual gifts and have the courage to use them!

  165. Hi…I am praying for all of you, and all your needs. So many hurts, and so many reasons to give thanks.
I ask for your prayers, for my husband. He has not been feeling well for a number of weeks, and I know we are at a point where he needs to go to the dr. I am worried. Please pray for his recovery, and for some answers.

  166. Prayers that your husband will be led to the right doctor and that an accurate diagnosis will be made so that he can get on with healing. Prayers that God’s hand and healing powers will be in all of this and that a complete recovery is already in the works.

I am asking for prayers for a difficult financial situation. We left NJ in January for Delaware as it is much less costly to live. I didn’t think it was going to be so long and hard to find adequate work to cover the income loss leaving NJ so although expenses are less we had been living WAY above our means the last several months in NJ as we had lost a large amount of income in December 2010. All of my credit cards have maxed and a lot of other things are past due. I know that God will always care for us and I feel the move to Delaware was a huge part of His plan but I need to see what else He has in store for us in order to keep my household afloat. It may necessitate filing bankruptcy which was what I had moved to try and avoid. Problem is, now that I am coming to terms with that possibility I discovered that in Delaware you have to see a credit counselor first (not a problem) and then wait 6 months to file. I don’t know how we will be able to keep up for the next 6 months. I have already received a lot of help from my church here and don’t want to continue to be a burden on them. I have only found work for 2 days a month. I am disabled but I can work a few hours everyday and need more earnings in order to break even as SSD barely covers the rent and utilities.

    • God work wonders for Paula Jenning’s family. Improve her husband’s health and help her to find a job and get good financial counseling to survive this hard time.

    • Paula,
I was reading over more of the prayer requests this pm and saw yours. I really identified with your prayer request. A year ago I had to quit teaching and go on disability due to having MS. It has been a hard year. We had to file BR. Slowly we are coming out of the hole. One thing I learned is that there are some government programs available to help besides welfare. I am in Texas and I know each state is different but maybe there is something out there for you.
Heavenly Father, please open the windows of heaven for Paula and release your blessings and provisions. Please bring opportunities her way that will be the right wage and hours for her. Please bless her health. Thank you for loving us and listening to the cries of our heart.

  167. Paula I’m praying for you and your financial situation. May you be pleasantly surprised with treasures and gifts from above. May your worries and financial troubles dissolve more and more each day. May you get wisdom and the guidance you need to be led in the right direction.

I ask for your prayers for me and for mental and spiritual healing. I was in a difficult situation recently and it has been resolved by God’s grace to everyone’s benefit. The trouble is that I can’t seem to let it go. I am worried that the situation isn’t really resolved and that it will come back up in the future and destroy my life. I want to feel safe and secure and my fear is poisoning me. I need to let this fear go, but I am struggling with it and don’t know how to. I pray that God will intercede and give me a clear message that it’s resolved and that I am safe. I want to move on.

    Thank you.

    • Katie, I’m praying and believing Jeremiah 29:11 for you — that you will come to a full and complete awareness of the plans and future and HOPE that God Himself has for you. I completely empathize — at times I feel like I’m about to reap what I sowed years and years ago…even though I’ve asked and been forgiven a thousand times over. The devil tries his darndest to pull me back to that place. His heart toward you is for your good, read over and over as many scriptures as you can that will reinforce the TRUTH, not the lies. Eventually your heart will catch up to your head and you’ll believe it wholeheartedly, not just intellectually. Praying much.

  168. There have been a lot of amazing God things happening lately…and (not) surprisingly, the attack from the enemy has been intense. I need wisdom and strength, and the ability to think and believe truth over anything else.

  169. I am praying for you all! I have no words for you Laura, I have never been through that, although I have had 3 miscarriages, it is different. I pray peace for you.

I would like you all to pray for my daughter in college and her roommate situation. Girls can be really mean. I think that part of the problem is that she is very involved in her church and a different mission projects.
Thank you in advance for your prayers!
    Have a very blessed week!

  170. Ellie, what a beautiful name, just like my little girl. I will pray for your daughter’s roommate situation. The dynamic between women can often be very difficult, tense, complicated. I pray for peace in her heart and in her relationship.

I have been struggling (for a lifetime) with severe anxiety. I have a lovely family and a wonderful life and I don’t enjoy it because I’m in constant fear of disease and death. I don’t feel safe and I can’t rest. In the end, it’s a faith issue and it hurts so much that I don’t trust that it will all be ok. Please pray for peace in my heart and spirit. Thank you.

  171. I don’t like this.
I don’t like the opportunity to be vulnerable because there’s a big part of me that just wants to crawl in a cave and hide… for a long, long time. Why? Because it’s the “big sins” of lust and {though I’m single} adultery and my heart is broken and I clam up silent each time they try to make another small group where we can all be real because if I was really real, you make it seem like you’d run away.
I’m just tired and broken and any little word of prayer you women offer is such a blessing.
and if one of you is inspired and pressed to mentor this messed up 18-year old?
    you’re welcome to email me – heldbyhishand(at)gmail(dot)com
or whatever. because I can’t promise that I’ll act like I want it even though I truly do just want a woman to talk to, and I can’t promise it would be easy and smooth, and I know it’s dirty and messy – I’m in a moment of courage and just asking.
I’ll probably be back in the emotional-dump-pit tomorrow.

    • Rachael, you are not alone. You are loved just the way you are. I am praying for you to find your identity in Jesus. There is a website that I want to encourage you to check out called http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com . This website has changed my life. Right now, I’m doing the course called The Lord’s Table to learn what the Bible says about eating and food. I’m finding freedom from bondage I only dreamed of. The next course I want to take is the one on purity, but they also have resources on anxiety, depression, alcohol abuse, and much more. Maybe there is something else you are battling with that you might want to try first. Plus, all of their courses are free! Just remember, you aren’t alone. Keep trying. Don’t give up. Keep seeking Jesus’ face and you will find it! Keep wrestling with God (http://www.seekgod.org/message/wrestlingwithgod.html)! Keep trying to put yourself out there because one person will understand. One person will need you. You may be the one person that makes them feel sane. Keep seeking. Keep praying. I am praying for you! (((hugs))) and love, Ashley

    • Praying for you. It’s okay to be afraid. God understands our fears and our roller coaster emotions. All of us sin and fall short….sin is sin….I don’t think that there are little sins and big sins. Some sins have different consequences but God is always there to show forgiveness and love. Growing up is so hard. I ask for God to bring you a woman close to you geographically that can be a mentor and friend. I ask that God will begin the healing process and pour out His unconditional love so thick that you have no doubt that are loved no matter what you may have done or even thought about doing!
Don’t give up – You are worthy – you are the child of a King!

  172. I was notified in September that my job will be ending on October 26th. I have never been unemployed and I have great fear back my future and lack of having a job to go to at this time. I am a single mother of a teenager and this time is really showing me that God is in control and it is his plan not mine. I pray for speedy employment and that I am able to provide for my daughter while I am in the time of transition.
Lord give me the grace to see this as from you and a blessing. AMEN

    • Stephanie,
may God give you the strength and courage you need during this time of transition and trial. Don’t be afraid to be real with your teenage child. This might be a wonderful time for the 2 of you to grow closer. I pray that a wonderful job will come soon.

  173. I was let go of my job at my church-feel very betrayed. Having some tough family problems. My trials seem trivial compared to Laura’s. I will be praying for her to be comforted and I ask prayers for our family at this time of hurting.

  174. Debbie, may our Father hold you close and comfort you! No trial is trivial to the One who loves us, sees us and made us.

Sisters, please pray for me to be strong. I am in a loveless, lonely marriage of 30 years with an unbeliever. I have prayed for God to release me, even to let him die, God forgive me, but I am here, leaning on Jesus and my church family. I want more than anything for my husband to come to know and love the Lord and for us to have a marriage in Him, but I have prayed for 30 years and things are worse than ever. Thank you for your prayers

  175. Debbie, I pray you find peace and contentment in your life. I pray new opportunities open up that give you more than you could ever imagine. I also pray your family problems can eventually bring you closer together.
I too am struggling. My children are in the middle of a very messy divorce and I have not been able to see them in over 6 months. Their father is withholding them from me in a Africa. I pray God is truly in charge and that I can find the courage to continue trusting and believing.
    Amen

  176. I ask for prayers as my family goes through this most difficult time. My son, who is on the autism spectrum, is having continuous physical/emotional meltdowns. Tonight I had to call the police. I feel like a terrible mother, am broken, and struggling with how to move forward. God Bless!

  177. Dear Laura,
Just to let you know that you will be much in my thoughts and prayers both today and in the days to come. May you feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit every moment of each day.

  178. Dear Laura,

My heart cries for you and your loss. Only God can help us heal. I too have a loss only my daughter is alive. Three years ago is the last time I saw her or my grandchildren and people say what happened and I can’t even tell them why or how. The struggle continues daily, trying to heal and praying that one day God will bring her back to us. This week is her birthday she will be 32 and I grieve to hold her, to see her smiling face, to tell her I love her, to tell her God loves her. I pray that God will wrap his arms around you and you will feel his everlasting love.
    Donna

  179. Pray for you dear Laura! also for all others that face so difficult times… the Lord is able to do more than we ask or even imagine! Praise to His Name! Please, remember in ur prayers my brother Gabi, my mother Livia and me… health problems, financial difficulties and decision to be made…Thank u all!!!

  180. Lord I Lift up Laura, Debbie, Carol, Donna, Corina and all who posted losses and need healing due to difficult times and situations. The chaos in the middle of the storm, God that it is you who gives us the strength to go on; the days ahead can be troubling if we continue to look upon our problems. Help us to reflect upon you and your strength, our provider in the storms of life that we are experiencing daily. Thank you God, for these women, continue to poor out your blessings upon each and every women crying out to you God for there individual needs. We need you, everyday. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

My family is also going thru many struggles, and need prayer. daughter 12 has ADHD and bad anxietys, daughter 15 and self image, depression and food related issues. husband not saved and health issues. myself am trusting God to heal my physical needs and family. losing everything and possible home due to financial crisis due to a promise made that cant be met and have no where to turn but to trust God. Iknow we are not the only ones, but my youngest daughter is having the most difficult time with this because of her anxietys and I also have anxietys which i am getting under control with GOds help. It can be dificult at times when the world is crashing down around me and I keep looking to God for guidance, cant always hear His words but I know He is there listening. Joyce meyer says that Jesus suffered all that we suffered, she reminded me that we need to stop asking God, I need this and that but to ask God show me what I need and show me what you want. Trust in Him with your whole heart.
Thank you God for All that you do, to remind us of your grace…..!!!!

    • Jana,
I am so touched by your post.
I ask God to give you His wisdom, understanding and peace. May each day bring you closer to a place of peace and rest. May God touch your daughters and bring healing to their bodies and emotions. May your husband began to have a hunger to know God.

  181. Laura, lifting you up in my prayers. I cannot in any way, fathom what you are going through but will continue to pray. Please look up the Christian author, Angie Smith and her book “I Will Carry You”. She and her husband, Todd (from the group, Selah) experienced something very close…. Her story and how they came through it, is inspiring.

  182. The potter is reshaping the clay. It hurts.
Painful yet necessary. Details yet important are not necessary here. I just covet prayers.
    God bless your ministry.

  183. Laura, I pray for you and your family to find comfort and peace during this difficult time. I can not begin to imagine the pain you are feeling. But may you know that your beautiful baby is sitting in the lap of Jesus, smiling down on you.

With this said, it seems my problems are so small. I pray for peace within myself to help deal with the every day life struggles that I have been dealing with. I am uncertain of my job future, which I am trying to fix, but I just don’t feel “comfortable” with what has been happening. I know I should leave this up to Him, but I am having a hard time hearing what He is trying to say to me. On top of the job situation, I am facing the 6th death of a close family member/friend in the past 6 months. My sister-in-law’s mother is in hospice with only days left on this Earth and I am having a hard time coming to grips with this. I have had enough death and saddness in my life for a while. The first was the death of my father and I have been in this darkness since. I have been trying to stay positive, but it seems at this moment, watching this wonderful and amazing woman pass on to her “home”, I just feel utterly and totally sad. I pray that He will raise me up and shine His love on me so that I may pull from this darkness and move towards the future with my head held high.

May God Bless you all and be sure to know that I will pray for everyone as they requested!! Prayer is a powerful thing!

  184. I’m kind of speechless after reading so many heartfelt comments and the problems and challenges some of you are facing. It’s enlightening to see how people get up and try to carry on no matter what happens. I’m trying to be like that, to be more positive and hopeful, to believe in the Lord more strongly and to actually let go and be able to trust that He knows what’s best, no matter what I feel or think.

I’m a 31 years-old woman who can’t find her life purpose. All I thought it was something remotely similar to that, has proved to be a fake. I’m not who I thought I was and I feel like I have so many flaws and so many things that have made me lost my way that I barely know where to begin trying to fix everything up. I’m trying to be happy with the life I’ve chosen (cause, in more than one way, I’ve chosen to be an unemployed professional, I’ve chosen to be single and without any chances of marrying or being a mother, I’ve chosen to live with my mother and sister and to do my best to take care of them, even though my skills are so limited) but, sometimes, I can’t help but feeling like everything’s kinda lost, that I’m a big failure and that I don’t know why I’m still around. 😛

Even in spite of this, I’m grateful for various things. I’m blessed with a very understanding, loving mother who doesn’t judge me and accepts me as I am (no matter how much of a failure I think I am). I’m blessed with time to be with her (and with my sister, when she has time to spare for me) and to enjoy her company, even though she got cancer and, then, I thought I might lose her. The Lord’s given me more years of company and laughter and love and understanding and support, and that’s given me strength to begin trying to accept the bad parts of my life (and of myself) and to try and enjoy the blessings I have, instead of suffering all the time for all the things I don’t have or can’t do. It’s hard and I continuously get lost and go back to my old habits, but I still have a family who supports me and helps me get back on track, just as much as His presence’s helped me so far. 🙂

Please, pray for me so I may hear the Lord’s words and even begin to find out what does He want me to do with my life, how is it that my apparently useless skills can be put to work, how can I be a better person for those around me and a better servant of Him.

Also, please pray for my mother, who has managed to regain her health after being diagnosed with a cancer. May the Lord bless her and keep her healthy so the cancer won’t come back ever again!

Of course, I’ll pray for you all and hope the Lord helps you in all your personal struggles. 🙂

May His blessings be with you for ever, and may He gives us all the strength to keep going! <3

Lots of love from Chile, South America.

  185. I’m praying for you, Andrea. I understand completely what you say about needing to trust God.

In a nutshell, I’m praying for an extra dose of faith. And WISDOM.

We have just moved to a new state. I don’t know anyone here, and I am clinging to God’s goodness in this new place. I know God brought us here for a purpose, and he opened the doors to get here. I am seeking God for his purpose, his timing and a renter for our previous home that we left. I question having another child because I am afraid of not handling it well. I am trying my best to hold onto God and let him be my rock. He is the author and finisher of every good thing, and I know that he will never leave me. With the hurricane of everything else going on around us, it’s easy to lose that perspective at times.

  186. Erin,
I will be praying that God will give you wisdom, smooth transition right now, and praying especially for good renters that will take care of your home while you and your husband follow God’s direction right now.

I am in need of prayer for a vehicle. This past summer my husband and I went horrible financial heartbreak due to many factors. One those was my 2 yr old daughter, grabbed and dumped boiling pot of macroni on her and she had to be flown to a burn center 2 hrs away from our home. That was the last straw we could take financially-so we went bankrupt literally. So we kept our home and 1 vehicle for my husband could go back and forth to work. I have been waiting patiently to get a vehicle for me. Through God, our credit has been restored and we are having a hard time finding the right vehicle at the RIGHT PRICE. Also, my husband has been driving 45 min one way to work 5 days a week and it is costing us a car payment so my husband has put into a transfer but he is on a waiting list. He was told he would be next to be transferred but for some reason no word. Please pray in an agreement with us that this transfer happens soon so everything else can fall into place. Thank you.

  187. Thanks, Liz. I appreciate your prayers.

I will be praying for you, too. I will ask him to send you the right car at the right price and a transfer. I know for a fact that God opens doors that only he can open. His Word says that he will make the impossible possible. Isaiah 41:18 is a verse that I stand on when things seem too hard. “I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.”

  188. Laura, wanted to tell you that I have offered up a prayer for you to stay strong. God has so much planned for you. This is a trial. Stay strong and pray, pray, pray. We will pray for you, too. Remember as sad as it is to lose a child, you still have YOUR life and HE gave it to you for a reason. Your baby rests safely with Him. May He give you the Peace that only HE can…

I am so thankful that I am retired with no real “need” to work, and so I have been given the gift of time. I don’t know that I am using it well. Please pray that I do.

The largest problem I face right now is a 34 year old daughter who is married and lives in New York City and has not spoken to me – at all – since early last year – and most importantly, I don’t know why. She has a twin brother and she talks with him infrequently, but she has 2 older brothers, too, and won’t speak to them or anyone else in our family. Please pray that she will come back to me and we can resolve whatever is wrong. I send her emails occasionally especially if something that I feel she needs to know happens, but I don’t get a response. I just sent her a birthday card and left a Happy b’Day message on her voice mail, but, again – no response. I just emailed her that her Aunt (my sister) passed away – no response. I appreciate your prayers and please also pray that I know whether to continue to attempt contact? Thank you – Love Sonia

    • Sonia,
Oh how my heart aches for you. I have a daughter that lives in NYC and I am in Texas. Our relationship was strained many years ago due to misunderstandings on both of our parts. She was so angry with me. Now….God has brought us so close. So don’t give up….just keep on loving her and I say keep on attempting to contact her. I pray that God will soften her heart and her husband as well.

  189. Could you please pray for my 2 month old grand daughter who is being tested for Turner syndrome. Please pray that the tests will reveal no issues in this area. Also for peace and comfort for her parents and grand parents and that we will stand on the firm foundation of God’s grace and goodness. Thank you all beyond words.

    • Deb,
May our heavenly Father bring peace to the hearts of your family. God knows what issues she is having and He can heal her. I ask for God to give the doctors and/or diagnosticians the wisdom they need to see how to help her.

      • Deb
Praying that the Dr’s will have Divine wisdom and understanding as they test your Grandaughter. I pray that she will come into alignment with the Word that says she is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God and that His perfect peace will gaurd all your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

  190. Please pray for our faith community that is putting on a We Are Christ Day (aka Wac Day!) with the theme~ Love Your Neighbor on Nov. 3rd! This is a day when the followers of Jesus come together to be His hands, His feet, His heart to the lonely, the broken, the forgotten and the LOST. We do everything FREE from home, repairs, spa treatments, grocery giveaway, the list and possibilities are endless! With this being said, we have a LARGE budget that has to be met!! Please pray that the Lord would provide for all the needs that day, above and beyond what we expect or can imagine!!
God Bless each and everyone of you <3

  191. thankyou lord for a beautiful bright autumn winking through my window as i lay here with a bad lung infection, feel rough, may the lord god bless you all richly ladies and help you trust him daily as you walk daily with god, amen.

  192. I am so thankful that we serve a God who encourages allows us to be vessels serve and minister to one another. Ipray for the needs of all those who have shared their loss, hurt, grief and need on this site.

I would appreciate your prayers as I seek the Lord for His will in the season of my life. I have worked as a Early Childhood teacher for Grant At Risk Programs in our state the past 24 years and have so, so loved ministering to the children and families God has placed in my path. The economic situation here has meant cutbacks in the program so I have suddenly found myself without of a job. This has been a difficult experience for me both emotionally and financially. Unfortunately, my years of experience are not seen as an asset , Because of the economic difficulties, Most programs would rather hire a beginning teacher for less pay. A a mother of a child who is a missionary in Africa (that we support as much as possible), a child who is a senior in College and a child who is a senior in high school, hoping to go to college, well, Not having an income isn’t an option. Other circumstances have already depleated our savings, so this has been extra challenging. for myself and my husband. he is taking on extra jobs and working so much I am concerned for his health. I am trying to cling to the Lord, and believe that He will guide and direct both myself and our family, it just gets hard sometimes. This fall was the first time in 24 years that I wasn’t getting a classroom ready and preparing for children. I miss it so, so much and really feel at a loss. I appreciate your prayers.

  193. I pray this day finds u well and full of hope n the LORD!! 🙂 im asking for prayer for salvation of all my children; prayer for my husband to recieve work that would b more regular and the finances to pay our rent that is nearly a month over due. also asking prayer for direction from the LORD as to what HE would have my husband and i to be doing and where HE wants us to be doing it. prayer for husband and i to be in
agreement about things that God would be able to bless and answer prayers. thank u

    • Cynthia, I pray that the Lord will set up divine appointments for you and your husband, to lead and guide you in His plan for your lives. I also pray tha He will give you confirmation and a perfect peace as to what the plan is as you seek Him to guide and direct you path. i trust and pray that He will provide and supply all your needs and that your children will be drawn to a loving relationship with Him through His loveing kindness. God Bless

  194. My mother forwarded me this link this morning. I come to you with a prayer request for two things:
    1. Healing – I have been having chronic migraines and vertigo for 5 weeks now. I have seen Dr after Dr after Dr! I am now seeing 3 doctors combined…one that is a neurologist that has me on migraine meds. Some which are narcotics and being a recovering alcoholic, I’m scared to death to get addicted to. But unfortunately for now it’s the only thing that is helping the migraines and vertigo (especially). I am also seeing a accupuncturist and then a neuro-chiropractor who is also a kinesiologist. The latter two are all natural with no “drugs”. The kicker is no one can tell me when it will get better. I have worked a total of 6 days in 5 weeks which brings me to my next prayer request…
    2. The owner of my company says I have a job when I get better but how long is she willing to wait? I’m scared that all the work I’ve put into this career will be halted due to this ongoing illness that no one can seem to figure out. But what I have realized being home practically 24/7 is that I’m enjoying the time I have with my family. Both of my parents are in the real estate business and my current job is very connected to real estate. I know an extreme amount of knowledge of what it takes to be an agent but I am so in fear of the unknown. My paycheck SOLELY depends on commission…very scary. I’m not sure what to do. I’ve prayed so many times a day over the last few weeks and can’t seem to get a clear idea of what I should do one way or another.
    Any advice/prayers are very welcome!
    With Love – Rachel

  195. My son has been very ill. Please pray for healing for him. His name is Brandon and I am very frightened for him. Thank you so much for your prayers

    • We are praying for you and Brandon, Anna. We’re praying for healing and most of all – peace.

  196. I’m going thru a REALLY nasty divorce, which I filed for to begin with last May. I filed, because he was physically abusive to me. I’ve been ridiculed, looked down upon, and judged by fellow Christians because I filed. But honestly, I don’t think Jesus meant for me to be married to someone as such. We have one child together, a daughter. She’s two. Through the whole course of the last year up until now, I’ve tried to make things work, tried to get him to go to counseling, etc – he just replies with “i want it over and done with”. I must make note that he’s a momma’s boy, and she’s been “in charge” ever since we got engaged! She rules the roost, and what she says, he does…and it caused problems in our marriage as well.
This past Friday was a bad day for me. Work was stressful, but on my 3 hour break in between shifts, my car took a dump on me, and left me stranded on the 4-lane hwy. $250 later, I found out that my main serpentine belt broke off = causing my car to basically fail! As my mom came to my rescue, she also came with bad news. My lawyer had received my ex-to-be’s proposal with the divorce and custody. I had just discussed this with him, maybe two weeks prior, and we both agreed to SHARED custody/placement. The proposal stated that he (or should I state, his mom aka ruler of the roost, and calls the shots) is going for FULL custody, FULL placement, and now whatever visitation I get (which is basically half right now), will be forfeited, and I’ll be able to see her every other weekend…so basically, 6 days in a month, if you figured there’s 4 wknds.
I can’t even begin to explain all the thoughts that are going through my head right now. My two devotions for last night stated how I should trust in Jesus, and thank him even when I’m going thru dark times as such. But seriously, how can I be thankful, when it feels the very life of me is being torn away from me? How can I thank God for THIS?
I feel so all alone in this. I cry at night, and most nights don’t even sleep AT ALL. I lie awake all night long, either worrying about the court date, or crying. It’s like no one knows what I’m going thru, how I’m feeling, or what to say to make it feel better. Yes! I realize that Jesus went thru some of the same things….I’ve been told this over and over again by other Christians, who obviously DON’T know what I’m going thru..but just say it, just to make themselves feel better that they at least said “something”…

I desperately need some prayer….wish I had someone to talk to. There’s my mom, but she’s NOT a Christian! Thanks for listening to me vent!

    • Oh my goodness Becky…I can’t imagine. I’m so sorry to hear about this! I don’t want to throw something at you that sounds cliché, but it’s completely truth so I have to say that I believe He sees what’s coming before we do, He’s already there, and He’s here with us – with you – now. Praying for peace and clarity and trust for you!

  197. Please pray for my childs father john.
