    • Hi Lyi :),

GOOD for you!! This book is content rich, isn’t it? So much to digest, it’s wise to start early so you can really think through it.

  1. Welcome, Robin! I am really looking forward to this study! I started reading the book & am loving what I am reading so far…this is going to be a wonderful journey! πŸ™‚

    • Hey Patricia :),

Can I be honest? (I’m going to be πŸ™‚ )–I don’t love every part of it; there are some chapters or thoughts within the chapters I don’t understand or follow or necessarily agree with. BUT, that being said, the good is so good it’s worth those parts.

I’ve got the fun challenge of driving our conversation and getting us to look closely at a few thoughts each chapter; with 21 (plus the intro/preface), that IS a challenge! I can’t wait!

  2. Welcome Robin!
I can’t wait to get started on the book. I’m excited for you to be a part of this, I know it’s going to great! I’m struggling with some health issues with my dear husband of 40 years, we just found out that he has kidney failure, and I feel like this book and study is right where God wants me to be. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
    Lisa

    • Oh, Lisa…{{hugs}} and yes, prayer. I do hope this book is able to minister wisdom and grace as Foster digs into the Word. Praying peace over you and your husband, mercy, grace and joy.

  3. Hello Robin and beautiful ladies!
I had been told about this book and tried to start it a few times several months ago. I never quite could because of different reasons, but it has been sitting on the peripheral of my brain, nagging me. I only recently joined the (in)courage community and as an avid reader, was looking forward to the next Bloom book study. Lo and behold, the study is on this book! No excuses, Paula. I’m so excited to go through it with a group of women who, like you said, Robin, have different views, thoughts, and convictions about it. I’ll follow the example and begin early. Thank you, Robin, for leading and thank you ladies for participating!
    Paula

    • WELCOME, Paula! I can already tell you’re going to be a wonderful addition to our conversation. Two points for YOU for starting early! (And I love this lil push to get you to FINALLY finish the book.) πŸ™‚

  4. Hello Robin,
I am so excited about what God is going to do with this Bloom study! I have began to read the book and at first I felt overwhelmed looking at the schedule, but now that I have began reading, I can’t put it down! It is a great book and there is so much to process and really meditate on as you are reading. Can’t wait to start the discussion and see what all God has planned as we begin this journey together. This is my first Bloom study and I cannot wait to get started. Praying for everyone involved, speaker and reader. May God do great things!
    Amber

    • I can sense your excitement, Amber Marie…which jazzes me right back! I’ve been in and out of studies before, but never committed each chapter. I SO hope everyone sticks with this one because it’s deep and heady and will change the way we pray!

Who knew there was so much to learn? And yet, somehow, there’s great comfort in knowing we never quite learn it all. Such are the mysteries of God, no? πŸ™‚

      YOU are encouragement!

  5. Hey Robin! πŸ™‚ Thank you leading the study. I am based in India and just got hold of the book today, so i am going to speed up and read a bit. This is my first of being part of a online study group(i have always wanted to be part of a study group) and i am so glad to have you all!! I cannot wait to read the book with y’all! May God speak to us in a still small voice where ever we are and what ever we are going through. Love and prayers!

    • Hi Ruthie,

India? What part? I had the high honor of traveling to Kolkata to write on behalf of Compassion International. To say it was life-changing is understatement.

It’s so encouraging to hear of so many who are trying an online study for the first time. This one is GOOD and probes deeply, so I trust you’ll be blessed for your time investment. Blessings to you as we begin next week!

  6. Welcome Robin! This is a new experience for me too, and I cannot wait to begin. I received my book on Saturday and began reading. I am so grateful to be part of this amazing group!

I also want to thank those who have sponsored books. In March of last year I was diagnosed with Lupus and SjΓΆgren’s syndrome. It has been quite an experience, and I have been in the hospital fourteen times since then. As a single mother, I am so thankful that God is protecting me, and putting the right people in my life. I have sold my home to pay my medical bills. So I just want to extend a huge *THANK YOU* to whomever sponsored my book. It means more to me than you will ever know. The kindness of strangers is a constant reminder that Christ is at work in all of this.
