A Sunday Scripture

Tags:  Scripture

“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

“And why worry about your clothing?
Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow.
They don’t work or make their clothing,
yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.”
Matthew 6:27-29

Don’t worry about anything;
instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Then you will experience God’s peace,
which exceeds anything we can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Thank you for posting this reminder. I’m currently experiencing some intense anxiety symptoms (for no reason it seems like). Please pray that I will feel God’s peace instead of the stress!

Philippians 4:6-7 is my ALL TIME favorite. I often repeat it to myself when I start feeling ‘off.’ Beautiful post! :-)

Having lived many years with an anxiety disorder, Philippians 4:6-7 is key in my “Emergency Kit” of scriptures. Worry is my cue to immediately pray and give thanks. Thanks for the reminder…
Blessings,
Bev

I recently told my hubby, worried about money & job, to quit worrying and start praying about it! We have & he seems a lot calmer about the situation.

You can worry some, but pray tons & get others to pray also & watch God work!

Love, love, love these pictures and the accompanying scriptures. Who designs them? I especially would like to know what font was used for the March screensaver one that featured the picture of the dogwood.

Thanks!

LOVE how you put these two scriptures together. It means so much for us to remember these truths. And the picture of the beautiful pink lilies warms the heart of this upper midwesterner still buried in snow and ice. Thanks.

Philippians 4:6 in that exact same translation was the Bible verse in the kids class I subbed in yesterday morning… I guess I need some serious reminding!!
