This Mother’s Day video – click to view – is based on a blog post written by our very own Lisa-Jo Baker. May it encourage and remind you that:

There are those who say this is ordinary.
Don’t buy that for a second.
You are mighty, because you mother.

Therefore, my dear sisters, stand firm.
Let nothing move you.
Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,
because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58

And for you, those of you without moms, please feel our prayers wrapped around you today and these words tenderly offered:

Happy Mother’s Day. Every single woman who loves, sacrifices, encourages, tends, cares, raises, praises, shapes, forms, nurtures and releases the people who become part of the next generation, no matter how you came to be connected with them, is mighty, and your labor is not in vain.

Thank you for all that you are and all that you do.

Thanks for posting this video! I’ve been sharing it too recently – it’s what being a mom’s all about and it’s really something every mama needs to see … one of those
‘be sure you save it’ ones because you’re gonna need to watch it again … and again!

Here’s a bit more ‘again and again’ words of wisdom …

Blessings today, especially to those moms who feel like they don’t have alot to celebrate …

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you (in)courage sisters. Whether your child is in your arms or in the arms of Jesus. Whether you are a mother or a spiritual mother. Whether you have a mom to celebrate with or will be without her. I wish you a joyful day filled with peace and rest.

I think of those of you who are alone or neglected this Mother’s Day. This is for you , my sisters: Alone? On Mother’s Day?

    Beautiful words well spoken!
The most important job in the world.
The most sacred mission given by the Creator.
The most rewarding role, if not here, certainly in the world to come.
Thanks for all Mothers who read this as I miss my mother who has long passed away.
How I wish I could thank her again and again now!

I’m a Pastor’s wife. My husband showed this video today at church. He didn’t tell me before hand and I truly think there wasn’t any dry eyes. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It’s a thing of beauty!

many thanks for the articles you put up for motherless daughters.i lost my mum in 2008(was 28 years);my dad died earlier in 1998.
the articles lifted my heart and im encouraged to look into the face of my loving Heavenly Father and trust Him to play a mother”s role especially in helping me raise my kids when i have them.
thank you and God bless you

Next year I hope someone might address the childless mother….the woman who feels less than a woman because she hasn’t been able to have children. The woman who feels totally defeated when she hears from other Christians who say being a mother is the highest form of living an example of God as a woman, and yet here we are and have yet to fulfill that purpose.
