Before we know it, the summer will be ending and it will be time for school!
Oh I can remember it so well… the beginning of a new school year. My fresh box of crayons. The clean, new notebooks. The freshly sharpened pencils and never used before erasers.
The organization of it all. I loved it. And the excitement for the new experiences yet to come! I loved school. I always have. That probably makes me a bit of a nerd… but that’s okay!
As all these new adventures and experiences and changes are about to begin, there is no better time for the reminder how important it is to carry faith and love with us wherever we go. To carry God with us wherever we go. I love how this verse reminds us all about that love and to love with every thing we have. All of our heart. All of our soul. All of our mind.
Whether back to school means heading out to school or schooling from home, we should always make our choices with love for Him first.
We know Christ is our greatest teacher and that means learning never ends!
I thought this print would be fun to have out as the school year begins as a focus for where our heart and soul and mind should be!
You can just click on the image {a free PDF printable} and you will be able to open or download the image, that you can then print to use in your own home. Personal use only, please.
The print is 5″ x 7″ and in the first photo, it is inside of an 8″ x 10″ frame.
And for those of you who have asked, the print is also available in my shop in an 8×10 size.
What is your favorite thing about back to school… whether it be about your children or your own school days memory?

I miss your blog! I love the same thing you do about a new school year, the newness and freshness of it all. I loved school, too, so I’m a fellow nerd.
Thank you for the print! It will sit on my desk so I can see it each and every day.
Hugs.

Be excited about the school carnivals and the plays. It’s all very fun! And of course all the good grades!!!!!! I loved school!!!! And. Pray they I can pass that love down to them as well!!!!!!

I always loved the promise the new year held – but the excitement was always mixed with nerves — would I make friends, would I like my teachers… My son starts full-time preschool this year and it’s nervewracking!
Jennifer Studio JRU says
I think excitement often comes with a touch of nerves, Vanessa. I get that! Full-time preschool… how fun! 🙂

I loved the first football game of the new year. I was a cheerleader and LOVED running out in front of that crowd each August. Even though I did it yearly, it always felt fresh and new.

So fun, Arden! Those games were always such a great part of school. Always something to look forward to!

My daughters have been out of school for a long time now, but I still love a good school supply store and shopping for pencils, notebooks, ink pens, post it notes, etc., and I feel like I am back in school, but now I do it for my writing…which is even more fun.

I love getting back to routine. I like being busy, to a certain extent. Back to school means back to business and no more slow slow days. Plus it brings with it some cooler fall weather.
Jennifer Studio JRU says
Yes, Beth, we can’t forget that promise of fall weather on the way!
Jennifer says
I don’t understand the print. Can someone explain it? Thanks.
Jennifer says
I thought the alphabet would be a fun way to relate to the upcoming school year that is just getting started and the verse is a reminder of where to keep focus as we ‘head out to school’. Hope that helps. 🙂
