I feel so blessed to have a job I love. A job that often doesn’t feel like a job. A job that allows me to be me and be creative. When I stop to think about what I get to call my job, the path that God has put me on, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude.
This is how I can glorify Him. This is how I can reflect the light to Him.
The way I have put God’s word in our own home so we can see it and think about it through our days… I get to do that for others! The way I am encouraged by the power and the beauty of scripture… I can help others to feel that encouragement!
One of my favorite prints that I have in our home is the “By His Grace” design. It was a mixed media piece I did as a background. After I scanned it, I decided to play with the colors a bit. It turned into this amazing rainbow of colors. Pretty and happy, but also pieces of deep and dark. It was the perfect mix. We get through it all, the pretty and happy good times and the deep and dark not so good times, by His grace.
I had a customer order this design in a canvas. When it came in, I took it out of the box, held it up and thought about everything His grace has gotten me through. I prayed for the family that would hang this in their home. I boxed it up and shipped it out. Shortly after that I received a message with a photo attached.
“I rededicated my life to Christ last year and am newly married. I believe in the importance of having God’s word throughout the house. This piece will actually be our first piece of “scripture” in our home. Thank you. It’s beautiful.”
This is exactly my hope. Filling our walls and our homes with His beautiful word. Surrounding ourselves with God’s truth.
There are so many special occasions around this time of year. Graduations and weddings and Father’s Day are all coming up quickly and what better gift to give than scripture and inspiration? I would love to offer a special in my shop so you can share this scripture art with your loved ones.

Deborah Martin says
Jennifer,
I have been blessed by your art in my home. Thank you for using your God given gifts and sharing them with us. You asked for Scripture suggestions – Psalms 62:1,2 has been planted deeply in my heart –
My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
If God prompts you to use these verses please let me know!

Barb M says
Your work is so beautiful!
I need to put this verse in the bathroom and closet where I do my getting ready: You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. (1 Peter 3:4) I sometimes get frustrated with how I look, my weight, hair, etc. I need this to remind me that I am made in His image, the outside doesn’t matter nearly as much as the inside.
Jennifer Studio JRU says
I hear you, Barb! I love that verse and I actually have a print using it for that same reason… a reminder that we are made in His image and that inner beauty matters most!
Melanie says
What a beautiful print. My favorite scripture is found in Hebrews 4:16. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”
I am continually amazed, blown away and humbled by God’s grace.
Jennifer Studio JRU says
Thank you, Melanie! I love that suggestion for scripture art. It is beautiful and meaningful!

Lovely colors! Love it!! Wish everyone could love their job as much as you love yours! 🙂 It’s all a mission field, right?
I’d love to see the NLT version of Proverbs 4:23
Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.
or The Voice:
Above all else, watch over your heart; diligently guard it
because from a sincere and pure heart come the good and noble things of life.
Thanks for sharing!!

Paulette says
I love the essence and the feel I get when I look at this print.
My walls hold many scriptures from Isaiah 40:31 ( I crave this one and the strength it holds) to Jeremiah 29:11 (when I wonder what exactly are his plans for me) to Lamentations 3:22-23 ( Thankful for his mercy each day) to Philippians 4:6 ( I am a worrier and he says pray and not worry).
The most important one is what I open my eyes to each morning as it sits on the wall directly in front of me Psalm 118:24. “This is the day that Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful piece that has blessed so many of us 🙂
Jennifer Studio JRU says
So many wonderful scriptures to have surrounding you in your home, Paulette! That is just so beautiful!

Carmen Keys says
Hey! I just went to your website to purchase a couple of your prints using your discount code and it’s not taking 20% off when I enter ScriptureArt. Can you help?
Jennifer Studio JRU says
Hi Carmen! Sorry you are having trouble with that. I am not sure what the problem is, the code has been working today for other orders. Do you have anything in your cart aside from prints? It will only take the percent off of prints. Maybe try again? If it doesn’t work, please contact me directly at studiojru@stanton.net and I will help you out!
Judy says
Teach me Thy way O Lord; Ps. 86:11. I need this every day….not my way but your way LORD.
Jennifer Studio JRU says
Oh yes, yes, yes! I love that reminder, Judy. It is on my list to use in a new piece of art!
Lynne Curtis says
I have just discovered your work today and browsing through your pieces on your website was like receiving a healthy dose of encouragement. Thank you! And thank you for sharing your gift with the rest of us.
I especially love the background of this piece, as well as the background of your piece, “Eucharisteo”. A third piece with the same background would be a wonderful option to offer for those (like me) who would like to make triptych of sorts. Maybe the first part of Psalm 46:10: “Be still and know…” or perhaps, the last part of Lamentations 3:23, “Great is Your faithfulness”. Obtaining a piece (or pieces) of your work is definitely on my list of “Things to Buy” for our next trip home to the States!
Jennifer Studio JRU says
Your kind words mean so much to me, Lynne. Thank you so much for your encouragement! When you are ready to make that order and if you don’t see your suggestion in the shop, be sure to ask me and I could easily do that as a custom order for you!
Lynne Curtis says
Thank you, Jennifer! That’s really sweet of you! It looks as though we’ll be back for just a short visit in September so if the budget allows, I will happily let you know a few weeks beforehand so that it will be ready to bring back with us. I would love that!
Lina says
We are planning a move across country to live in my grandparents home. I would love to have the wording from Ruth 1:16 “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.”
It was part of our wedding vows and this is a big move for us…
My husband will be leaving all “his people” and joining my extended family. Our move is from California to Connecticut.
I love your work. What a blessing to do something so special and make a living at it.
Lina
Jennifer Studio JRU says
That is a beautiful verse, Lina. Needs to go on my list! What a big move… how exciting to be starting this new part of your journey!

EMILY says
1 Samuel 16:7. Not as man sees, does God see, for man looks at the appearance, but the Lord looks into the heart.
God doesn’t judge by appearances, praise the Lord!
Jennifer Studio JRU says
OH yes, Emily! I love know He looks into the heart. Beautiful verse!
Beth WIlliams says
First off you are blessed to have a job that you enjoy! That in and of itself is a blessing from God. Love the colors in this print! Love all of your work! You are truly talented!
My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the Plans I have for you” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.” That is my life verse.
Blessings 🙂
Jennifer Studio JRU says
Thank you so much, Beth. That verse… such a wonderful verse. Love it!
Beth WIlliams says
OOPS– forgot to finish the verse out “Plans to give you a hope and a future”.
Tanya says
One of my all-time favorites:
“You will make known to me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.
At your right hand are pleasures forever.” – Psalm 16:11
(In some Bibles, there’s a subhead with this Psalm that says “Confidence in Yahweh.”)
Another, that I often cling to:
“Be strong and courageous. Don’t be fearful or discouraged, because the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
It’s lovely to hear from someone like you who loves her job!
Jennifer Studio JRU says
Beautiful verse suggestions, Tanya! I have actually use the Joshua 1:9 in a print. That is such an encouragement to me!
