Above all, keep loving one another earnestly,
since love covers a multitude of sins.
Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another,
as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
At (in)courage, we empower women to be like Jesus. Our writers share what’s going on in their life and how God’s right in the middle of it. They bring their joys & struggles so that you can feel less alone and be empowered by the hope Jesus gives.
So convicting, I need to do better at all of these! I need to love more, be more hospitable and serve others much more diligently than I do now, I needed this today!
Blessings to all this Sunday morning!

My husband doesn’t love me anymore. He doesn’t want to leave. It’s so weird. I’ve been wondering how to handle it, if I should continue to honor the vows I’ve made to him and to God, or to pull away in order to protect myself. This verse speaks to my heart today.

Penny,
I’ve been there. Continue to love and be true to your vows. You will be held accountable for what you do not what he does or doesn’t do. Hang on to Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, plans not to harm, but to give you hope and a future.

Love this scripture!~ It is soo true that love covers a multitude of sins. God loved us so much that He died for our sins to make atonement for them!
Our pastor preached on this today. It was James 2:14-26. It talks about Faith without deeds. We need to love and show love more to our neighbors. In that way they will eventually come to Christ!
Blessings 🙂

Penny, Have you heard of the movie Fireproof? I’ve felt this way before (weve been married 29 years). My husband and I don’t communicate at all, often I feel like I am alone, unloved. His love is alcohol, yet he continues to work daily.
That movie and the book helped me to focus on him, but also on changes I needed to make. In my grandparents marriage of 60 years divorce wasn’t an option and they went through the depression, adultery, and my Grandfather lost an eye in a construction accident in their first year of marriage. That was my example growing up.
That movie helped me to look at it differently. And, even though I only read 1/2 of the book those lessons helped me to see by changing myself, there might be a way to save our marriage

That verse was incredible to me. My household does not want to respect me in that our oldest wants to sleep with his girlfriend in our home. They won’t do it at the girlfriends house, because of the respect the girl and our son have for her. My spouse “wants no confrontations” and does not want to lose our son or his relationship with this gal. I feel like they don’t care enough about me, to at least acknowledge that I wish to hold a higher standard in this home. I do not claim to be perfect-just the opposite, I do however wish that our son and his future family will hold this boundary in their home one day. I realize many kids are having sex-that isn’t the issue! I simply want them to not sleep together in our home.

Yes,,love covers a multitude of sins. For this reason God is Love, otherwise none would survive. I’m so glad He loves me and keeps helping me to love others. Only love keeps us going. I’m using this verse to my meditation. I need some reflective time
