God created us to live in community — with Him and each other. With the busyness of life, we’re discovering the need to be intentional to find, support, and love our friends. Sometimes? That can be hard, because we’ve been hurt by friendships in the past.
True friendship is a beautiful thing.
If you’ve been with us on these pages for a while, you’ve heard us talk about community a lot here at (in)courage. We’ve been telling stories and answering questions like:
- What does community look like?
- How do we stay in community when it gets hard?
- What is my place in community?
- What do you do when you find yourself without a community?
These are questions we wrestle with as writers, as women, and as friends. This year we’ve focused on the idea of “Friendship on Purpose,” taking the broader topic of community and focusing on a more personal, one-on-one relationship. We’ve shared our stories, now we want to come alongside you and introduce you to some products that were created with YOU in mind — pieces that will serve as resources to help all of us be intentional with our friendships.
Whether it’s a set of notebooks to share with a friend, to let her know that her words and her story matters, or a beautifully designed — and practical! — pouch to let her know she’s beautiful, these are gifts we would give, and love to receive!
And maybe you remember making friendship bracelets when you were younger? Braided floss twisted and turned into gifts to share with all the friends in your life, crafted at slumber parties or at the lunch table. We’ve taken those to the next level with our collection from Village Artisans. Handcrafted in India and ethically sourced, these beautiful bracelets are the perfect way to connect with a friend, no matter the distance.
Grab a matching one for yourself, send the other in the mail, and celebrate friendship — on purpose!
