  1. Isn’t just like the Lord to give us just what we need at exactly the right time? What a beautiful post! Thank you for sharing it with us!

  2. This is beautiful. The “you” you described at the conference would have also been me. I quickly get undone when I see and hear others with better stories, better careers, better aspirations and way better clothing. I love how God gave you the opportunity – unorchestrated by you – to dig deep with this other woman, and discover what’s below the surface. We all have a story, we all deal with pain, and we all have pockets of our lives we would rather not uncover because we so wish either they were better, or we were better at them. But a one-on-one conversation like that gives amazing opportunity to discover kindred spirits instead of resentful separations. Kudos to you for opening your heart and soul to her, and her to you. Great story!

  3. Great story! Obviously, her inner beauty and strength came shining through, as did yours. i pray for you both to overcome the grief you’ve suffered.

  4. Melanie,
I would have been “you” at the conference. I have low self esteem anyway and the thought that my story wasn’t as good as hers and she looked oh so good would have put me in a tailspin of pity party!! My old boss used to say “we are all going through something”. I’m just happy you got a chance to really know the other woman!!! God can turn a bad situation into something beautiful!! God is sooo good!!
    Blessings 🙂
