Our (in)couragers can’t wait to connect with you!

Welcome friends!

We are so pleased to have you. We are working hard behind the scenes to set up groups & leaders for our fall session, but we’ve planned a special mini-summer session for you to enjoy while you sit by the pool sipping your iced tea. Think of it as a chance to get the “small talk” out of the way so you can jump right into a session with a small group in a few months!

Summer with friends…What is better than that?

To participate in the mini-summer session:

1) Sign up for the (in)couragers community newsletter.

You’ll receive a free newsletter filled with news from our (in)courager community group team. We will keep you in the know about what God is doing in and through our groups and let you know when the new full session will begin in the fall!

Subscribe to our community newsletter by simply adding your email address below.

* indicates required

2) Like the (in)courager Facebook page

This is where we will all hang out this summer to chat, get to know one another, and make new friends before the fall session begins. We think you will love the chance to meet all the amazing women involved in the (in)courager groups. Our leaders will be there, too! You can find our page right here.

The story behind (in)couragers:

We’d been praying for new ways to help the women of the (in)courage community connect more deeply with one another online, and the women who meet up here are the answer to that prayer! We love the idea of conversations continuing way beyond the comments on a blog post and spilling over into deep, meaningful connections.

We believe friendship can transcend time zones, cultures and blog comment boxes. And we want to connect you with friends who get where you’re at and can encourage you along the way.

From this vision the (in)couragers were born. Groups of like-minded women doing life together in small online communities began in the fall of 2012 with great excitement. And we continue to be amazed at the remarkable women who connect, encourage and champion one another in so many walks of life.

Meet the (in)courager leadership team:

Amy Tilson
Group Coordinator
Amy has been married to her college boyfriend for over twenty years  now.  Their adventure has included 8 states, even more moves, and 1 rambunctious little boy finding his way in preschool.  She loves God, really good coffee and chocolate, and ministering to and with women.  You can find her words atAmy Learns where she seeks to care, create and consume in this world with intention.  She also tends to hang out on Twitter (@ACTilson) and loves making connections.

Anna Rendell
Communications Coordinator
Anna is married to the boy she met at an airport 15 years ago, and mama to a fireball of a toddler, Sam. She writes at Girl with Blog, sharing with simple honesty on the joys & struggles of faith, motherhood & the everyday. She’d love to chat with you over her {virtual} picket fence! Anna tweets a lot (@anna_r), and loves coffee, being outside, social media, Jesus, and girlfriend time.

Crystal Stine
(in)courage Community Leader Coordinator
Crystal is married to her high school sweetheart, Matt and is mom to Madison, a super energetic, beautiful, spunky toddler. She loves God, writing, and encouraging women. Crystal blogs at Crystal Stine, where she seeks to share life, the love of Christ, and an encouraging word…along with a virtual cup of coffee and a cupcake. She’d love to connect with you on Twitter.

A note from the team:

Friends we are so glad you are here!  Do you know you have been thought of, prayed and planned for? Well, it is true. God has written your names on our hearts and we can’t wait to get a little smaller and grow a little deeper with you.

We get the sweet job of working with the amazing women we call the (in)couragers. They have big hearts for Jesus and are making a place for you right now to hang out and build community. See, we believe that one of the most amazing gifts God gave women is the ability to connect and (in)courage each other to walk with Him in our daily lives.  We love that (in)courage is a place we can do life together.

Not sure if this is the right group for me. I’m an empty nester who currently lives with my daughter and family. I am also single at this point in my life. If this isn’t a good fit, can you point me in the right direction? Thank you.

I am a new empty nester and searching for community and struggling to find (let alone make) new “girl friends.” This weeks post have spoken to my heart and as silly as it sounds, I know it’s God’s way of pointing his finger and saying “there my daughter, start there” Thank you for reaching out to me as I start my journey

Thank you SO much for putting these together! I noticed that this “session” goes through December. Will you be looking for more community group leaders at that point? I might be interested…

Hellooooo!

How do I determine what the best fit for a community group would be? I am an artist (video and media design) who has been called to write and teach bible studies and disciple and speak. I am a homeschool mom (5 more years left) and I operate a home business with my husband (a video production company). Help?

Hi Lorretta,
So glad you’re interested, and how fun that there are so many that sound like they would be a great fit! If one jumps out at you, I would go with that one! But, you can join more than one! What do you need encouragement with most? Do that. :)

(in)courager small groups are an online based community. We start our new session on 2/12!

Have you checked out (in)RL meet ups that will happen all over the world on April 26-27? Our (in)RealLife community is a great place to find people in your area. You can find out more here: http://www.incourage.me/inrl

We are so glad you are here at (in)courage!

Hi Stacey! Excited about the new groups getting started soon! I noticed you don’t have writing yet in the categories. I’m one of the group leaders for the writing group, so just thought I’d let you know that we are in, and will be leading a group! Looking forward to it!

Hi! I’m new to (in)courager groups but really want to join one for this next session starting 2/12. Am I understanding correctly that I cannot join a group until 2/12, the day that they all start? Or will ‘registration’ be available before then?

Reply

19 Stacey January 16, 2013 at 11:36 AM

Hi Lindsey! Groups will be open for registration on 2/12, we are hard at work right now getting our leadership ready for the new session! You will be able to join on that day!

Thanks!

I’m an empty nester and am interested in connecting with other women who are in the same situation. I have some friends, but none of them are empty nesters. Most of them still have young children. I am interested in joining the Empty Nester group and have “liked” the FB page. Is there anything else that I need to do to connect and join? I’m a little confused at how these groups work and how we stay connected. Can you give me some information on this particular group? Thanks!

Check back on Feb 12 as the groups officially re-open their doors for session 2. There will be links and pages with info on how to join each group!

Hi! I am newer to the site! I am looking for Christian friends that I can talk with, relate to, laugh with, and just connect with. I am a working mom. I love being a mom and a wife. I also love helping children (I work in the school system). I am trying to find my niche in the word. I have this hunger deep down in my heart that often causes me to feel restless. I feel God has plans to help grown His Kingdom, but I am not sure what that plan is. I am very outgoing and fun. I hope to make some new friends that can relate to how I feel. Thanks for reading! I would love to see a group of women who are nature lovers. I don’t necessarily mean environmental extremists, but women encouraging others to spend more time enjoying God’s creation, living more simply, feeding their families more healthy foods, etc. These are things that I am trying to do and could sure use some encouragement, ideas, etc. from others.

Hi! i came across InCourage and discovered the last two years some really amazing blogs (spell w-o-m-e-n). As a magazine columnist, i get letters from readers and realise that in Asia, many women could do with an online community! alas i am not very tech-savvy…just see my blog…and have waited around to see if anyone will step forward to help start some kind of Asian women’s website. so far no movement! but it’s ok. perhaps i need to be part of one and learn first. so here i am!
over the years as i emrbace myself as a woman, wife and mom, i come to realise many women struggle with being women! we need each other to sing songs to, eat chocolate with and HUG!
looking forward to being in a yeah! sisterhood!

I found this web site, by a God thing, but is it just for married women. I love it and I am a divorced Christian woman that is searching for this kind of thing for single again women. I love the topic witch are very relevant for women that are single agian. Would love to find out more, God continues to guide me to gather women together, my latest vensure is RAW, Real Authentic Women. Going raw with food and raw with emotions that lead us to use food, people, places, and things instead of a intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Community is so important to stay encouraged and victorious in this world. Thanks, Judy

43 Crystal April 29, 2013 at 12:49 PM

Hey Judy! It is definitely NOT just for married women! We have groups about marriage, motherhood, single mothers, Bible studies, women over 50, chronic illness, etc. and a lot more we’ll be adding for the third session. I hope you’ll join us for our mini summer session in June through our newsletter & Facebook page :)
