About (in)RL

(in)RL was born out of two years spent listening to women in the comments here at (in)courage craving local, real life community.

Derived from the social media acronym “IRL” or “in real life,” (in)RL is an invitation to share what we’ve learned about community and encourage women with stories and suggestions for connecting deeper in real life.

Last year nearly 2,000 women from 24 countries participated.

Think of it as a girl’s weekend away that doesn’t require packing or plane tickets, where women can kick off any expectation of perfect, set aside their fears, their shyness, their worry that they’re not good enough, and find some of Jesus’ words of rest woven into every video shared here.

follow on Saturday, April 27.

Friday April 26:

Tune in by yourself for an hour on Friday for the community keynotes; connect via Twitter using the hashtag #inRL with everyone else who’s also watching.

Saturday April 27:

On Saturday meet up with old friends and new to spend a few hours in real life community. Think of it as a retreat where you don’t have to leave town. Just imagine thousands of women all over the world getting together in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, or churches – you name it – to connect in real life! We’ll be providing video content that meet ups can tune into, which explores the challenge to stay connected to our beautiful, messy, real life communities.
