Leaves and pumpkins and boots, oh my! No matter what the temperature outside your front door – or how you feel about candy corn – fall is here. With it we’re reminded of the nature of seasons and change – and God’s faithfulness through it all.
Today we’re taking a look back at some of our favorite autumn-themed posts from the archives. Our hope is that you can take a moment to wrap your hands around your favorite hot drink, sit down in a space with a view of the sky, and enjoy these messages.
When Life Hurls a Curve Ball Right at Your Heart by Kristen Strong
Some days you hold your heart’s splintered sharp edges in your hands and think maybe, just maybe you’re going to bleed right out. But you don’t. You don’t because you have this hope. You have this Hope that the story does not end with you holding cracked and broken pieces but with Him holding you, His love entering all the in between places. You have this Hope because God doesn’t just help you endure it but is the Way you travel through it.
Savor the Season: 5 Easy Ideas for Fall by Melissa Michaels
Fall is my favorite season, so I love finding simple ways to savor it. Why make decorating more complicated than necessary? Try finding beautiful things you already have to create a centerpiece with pears, fall candles and a wood cutting board.

You aren’t just a daughter of a king; you’re the daughter of the King of Kings! I know you know these things but do you KNOW THESE THINGS? Will you live their truth as if you believe it? You are the only you who has ever lived and will ever live!
Four Ways to Make the Most of Your Season by Sarah Markley
It’s easy to recognize the fruits of the season: pumpkins, pumpkin bread and homemade pumpkin spice lattes dominate Pinterest right now. They are the fruits of an autumn in full swing.

Can’t you just hear the leaves crunching and smell the cinnamon rolls?
Finding Beauty in the Mundane by Dawn Camp
Fallen leaves crackle and crunch beneath my feet as the beauty of God’s creation is revealed anew in the change of season.
What’s your favorite way to enjoy this season?
Thank you for sharing these top posts, my favourite is Robin Dance’s You are a Wonder – just what I (all of us?) need to hear to fix a smile on my face for the day and have a little more bounce in all that I do 🙂

Happy Fall to y’all too – greetings from the south. I can’t wait to pour some more coffee and dig in to the fall favorites! This is by far my favorite season and the way I celebrate it the most is to get out into it. By that I mean taking long walks with my dogs and hearing the leaves crunch beneath our feet/paws and watching the sun make brilliant hues of red, yellow and orange explode in front of the backdrop of all the green pine trees here in NC. I also love to sip pumpkin lattes and get under a blanket to read God’s word.
Blessings to you all,

I’m with Bev, I think fall is my favorite season as well, though I’ve been learning to find the joy in each one in all their splendor. I’m an Indiana girl and we definitely have all four distinct seasons. This year the trees and shrubs have been brilliant in color, drawing me close to the One who created such beautiful masterpieces. I just want to stay a while in this place and breathe in all the wonder of God. Looking forward to savoring these messages as well. I’ve been blessed to be a small part of this inCourage community. Funny how you feel connected to people you’ve never met. Wish it was easier to be able sit down together with that pumpkin latte and share even more. Blessings to all you sisters in Christ!

Blessings back to you, Melanie…and a cyber pumpkin latte to go with them 🙂
I’ve been having a ball all month sharing the best of fall, a little house party where we’ve been feathering our nests, having fun in the kitchen, talking about our pets, our wardrobe, looking at a living room makeover, the whole deal.
And we’ve been seeing God right in the middle of the dailyness, the transitions, the messiness, the joy. The penning of this all has been so much fun …
