Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Proverbs 31:30 (NIV)
We know this day is a complex one full of many emotions and experiences, so we are praying for each of you today as you remember, celebrate, grieve, enjoy (and sometimes, all of the above) motherhood and what that means to you.
Every single woman who loves, sacrifices, encourages, tends, cares, raises, praises, shapes, forms, nurtures and releases the people who become part of the next generation, no matter how you came to be connected with them, is doing an amazing work.
Happy Mother’s Day. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do.

Nothing has defined (and refined!) all I am and all I do as much as this mothering life.
Thanks for the wisdom and comfort of community that radiate through every post shared in this space!
Happy Mother’s Day, Women of (in)courage!
Michele,
You wear MANY hats and you wear them ALL so well. Motherhood truly has a way of defining and refining us, doesn’t it? It has also brought me to my knees in utter reliance and dependence upon God. Thanks for your petitions, sweet prayer warrior. Blessings to you this Mother’s Day!!

In Courage,
I never had little ones to mother. I did mother both my aging parents. That can be just as hard. I used to make brownies or something & take them over to parents to celebrate mom’s day. That part of my life has changed who I am today. I am a stronger more confident woman. All due to the strength God gave me to get through those tough times. Here’s a shout out to all the moms out there today. God will bless you for all that you do. Raising the next generation of Christian adults in this day is super hard. You are doing a great job!!
Blessings 🙂
Beth,
You mother and take care of so many and you have been a true blessing to me here at (in)courage. Celebrating YOU and your wonderful giving spirit today!
Blessings,
Bev xx

Forget but I want to remind her that she is loved and cherished by so many people. God is working in her circumstances and things will turn around because He is faithful. My momma is in heaven and I am
really missing her. I thank God
for the women He has
Placed in my life. God bless all moms today.

Mothering is great specially when it is not easy. I’m thankful that The Lord Jesus has always been leading to love without any expectations. Loving sacrificially is what He expect of us✝️
