  1. Jennifer & (in)courage,
What beautiful reflections on finding peace in our hectic world. Men and women have served, fought, and died for our freedoms, and how do we choose to use our freedom? We hurl insults at each other and declare war on anyone who sees the world differently than we do. Jesus’ message was all about Peace. May we all, this Memorial Day, choose to use our freedom to serve, forgive, encourage, love, and bring peace. This would truly be honoring to those who gave their lives and the families they have left behind.
    Blessings,
    Bev xx

  2. With a couple of trumpet players in my family, Memorial Day sounds like taps at the town memorial. I always hope the crowd is pondering the lyrics as the plaintive notes fade:
“All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.”

  3. Yes lets live in peace with everyone. There is too much hate in our world today. We as Christian have do as that kids song says. Jesus loves all the Children of the world red and yellow black and white. Plus this sticks in my mind alway when in Hospital or not well you need a Doctor or Nurse or you have to A&E you don’t care what religion that Doctor or Nurse is as long as they make you well. Or help ease you pain or get to the bottom of what wrong with you. Jesus loved us all no matter what religion we are. He still does today. We are to do the same no matter as Christians. Live in peace with ever one and pray for ever one. Show them the Love of Jesus in our lives by how we live. By living the why Jesus would want us too live. If saved. As if saved we are the hands and feets of Jesus. Excellent reading. God Bless Dawn xxx

  4. Oh I felt more peace just reading this! And moved to utilize these suggestions to promote peace. Thank you for creating space to encourage and inspire us.

  5. Jennifer,

This world is so full of strife & turmoil. I don’t watch the news anymore due to the backbiting & yammering among our elected officials. They want the Republican president out & someone else in. I’m so ready for rest & true peace. The kind only God can offer. This week I will cook for my in-laws, pray for military everywhere, thank God & hubby for all the good they provide. Our military fight daily to give us our freedoms & many have taken those freedoms for granted. They won’t stand for the pledge to flag or national anthem. Something unheard of years ago. This generation feels entitled. They aren’t!! They need to go fight right along with the military instead of sitting in their cushy homes & griping about what’s wrong. IF you feel something is wrong go do something about it. Write congress, help, volunteer, pray about it. Only God can give you true peace. Put away that striving, griping & talk to God today. Thank a veteran for their service.

    Blessings 🙂
