Robin is the author of For All Who Wander, her relatable memoir about wrestling with doubt that reads much like a conversation with a friend. She's as Southern as sugar-shocked tea, married to her college sweetheart, and has three children. An empty nester with a full life, she's determined to...

  1. Thank you, Robin, for this historical detail–I’ve read Kristen’s books, but was not aware of this part of her story. Makes me wish I’d been blogging back in the day . . .

    • Michele,

I’m so happy to be able to share an even broader perspective, especially as it relates to the part of Kristen’s story I know. Blogging was different back then, that’s for sure :).

  2. Robin,
Scripture tells us that after we give the best of our “First Fruits” back to God, we are further instructed to not forget about those who serve God (ministries), the orphan, the widow, the foreigner, the destitute. This is the next step before money for “me”. Giving Tuesday is coming up – Nov. 27th and is a movement counter culture to Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and all the commercialism surrounding the holidays. Let’s give “Thanks” and then let’s “Give”…Thanksgiving. Count me in for one of a thousand mercies. Can’t wait to see that precious ornament on my tree! Anyone with me?? Let’s do this…
    Blessings,
    Bev xx

  3. Robin,

I was an original reader. I remember reading all those great stories. Also remember Kristen’s trip to Kenya. I try to be a super generous person with my time, effort & money. God gave us His all-His only son to die a horrible death. How much more do we need to be giving to those around us?. John Wesley has a quote that goes well with this: “Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”

    Blessings 🙂

  4. I too had trouble getting in, a little prayer, a little coffe and persistence! What a wonderful way to show His love! Thank you!
    Love to all!
