Don’t feel guilty at all! It sounds like you’ve arrived at a healthy place of doing what you need to do to heal and move forward. Because we are doers, we are prone to anxiety and perfectionism, and it sounds like you’re finding ways to seek balance — to avoid those red flags that I talk about in the book. That’s totally healthy. And it’s definitely not selfish. Because when you are taking care of yourself, you are taking care of God’s treasure, and furthermore, you’re better able to serve and love those around you.
