  1. Lamentations 3:22-23 are our church’s verses of the year for 2022. Thank you for the lens of God of second chances connected to these verses. That’ll give me yet another way to help my 3-4th graders understand & apply not just memorize & recite them!

  2. It’s reassuring to know there is that second or twentieth chance! I need a daily reminder of this.

  3. Thank you for greeting your readers this morning with reassuring words of God’s repeated blessings of mercy and grace. Your devotional is balm to my weary, tender heart of ten years of waiting.
    God bless you!

  4. Mary,

I’m forever grateful for second chances. I mess up often & ask forgiveness from our precious loving Jesus. Thankful to God for His tender mercies that are new each & every day. Each time we wake up is a chance to start afresh.

If you’re afraid that you’ve missed your chance, that you’ve messed up too much, that you’ve wandered too far, that you’ve waited too long, know that God will never give up on you. He is here to give you another chance. Think about this: the thief on the cross, the Samaritan Woman who lead a promiscuous life, & the prodigal son all were forgiven & allowed to enter Heaven. There is nothing we can do & no where we can stray that God won’t find & give us second chances.

    Blessings 🙂

  5. … and now I’ve got “Our God Is a God of Second Chances” from veggietales in my head. Which is not a bad song for me today!

Thank you for this; it’s good to remember that we don’t only have this one “reset” opportunity per year!

  6. Truly needed to hear this today. On a journey to growing my faith after so many times of feeling that i have walked out too far…knowing that God is always there waiting for me gives me strength.

  7. My head and my heart so needed to read this today! You had me at… “and I wonder why I can’t ever get it together. (Seriously, this is nothing new for me.”! Thank you!
