  1. Dear Jenny….I was very intrigued with your story today. Your words are always such words of wisdom. I can’t even imagine what it is like living in Iceland and Alabama. Two very different climates. Thank you for sharing your words. We are waiting for the most snow that we have had in a decade and also a week to 10 days of frigid temperatures. Don’t know how we will handle this, but I have to leave now to get some last minute items I need. This storm is covering most of the United States which is very unusual. If you can, please pray for us that people will follow the instructions given to us all day yesterday and today. I send my love to you for your devotion today and I read that you write romantic books. I would love to read one. Take care! Your forever friend…Betsy

    • Hello Betsy! Thank you for reading! And yes indeed, Alabama and Iceland are two very different climates. It is feeling much more like Iceland today. And I would love for you to read one of my novels. The first one is Her Part to Play and the second comes out in June. You can check out more info on my website. Blessings!!

  2. I, too, decided to “take it a little slow” before starting the day’s tasks. Thank you for your encouragement.

  3. I know this article is from the archives, but it so beautifully put words around what I’m learning to notice in my current season when life feels overly full. Thank you for the reminder to pause, to breathe, and to pay attention to the One who is already paying attention to me. Needed this.

  4. Jenny,

Driving to work I pray & relax my mind. Taking time to be still & hear God. Sometimes I turn on worship music & praise Him. Try to make time to watch a preacher or two at home. Read devotions on my phone. Knowing that the more time & God’s word I soak up will calm my soul & mind. Thus making it easier to defeat the evil one’s arrows.

    Blessings 🙂
