It is our joy to serve the Lord through our words and actions, linking arms as sisters (in) Christ. As we serve our readers, we are always tethered to a biblical perspective. From Paul’s letter comes our focus verse:
I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of complete understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery—Christ.
Colossians 2:2, CSB
It takes courage (in) Christ to be united (in) love. In an online landscape often marked by division, our desire is to pursue unity in the body of Christ.
We share our unique stories — joys and struggles equally fleshed out — for the purpose of pointing others to the eternal hope of Jesus Christ. We seek to create spaces online and in real life to connect with, listen to, equip, encourage, empower, and serve God’s daughters.
We honor the original mission of (in)courage represented by its name: The (in) represents being in Christ; from this comes true courage, connection to Jesus and others, and authentic community.
More than anything, (in)courage is about relationships — with God and each other.
What We Believe
We realize that our readers are in many different places in their journeys of faith. All of you are welcome. Our relationship with Jesus is the heart of who we are and all we do. It’s not about going to church or doing good things. And even if it were, that wouldn’t be enough because we’ve all messed up in life.
We know what it’s like to have distance in a relationship because we’ve hurt someone else. And with God, there’s only one way to close that gap. Jesus came to earth and died on the cross to make that happen.
We believe when we pray, “Yes, Jesus—you are my Savior. I ask for your forgiveness, receive your grace, and give all of my life to you” then our relationship with God is made right and we become His forever.
We still mess up but we can always come to Him again and simply say, “Jesus, I’m already yours. I know I’ve hurt you… will you please forgive me?”
Our relationship with God keeps growing all of our lives, and we hope (in)courage will be part of that journey for you.
If you’ve just started a relationship with God for the first time or reconnected with Him, we’d love to hear from you. Please send us an e-mail.
