A Sunday Scripture

Tags:  Scripture

Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

~Habakkuk 3:17-18

The Lord gave us this scripture a few months ago while my Sister-in-Law has been going through a physical battle. We have been praising the Lord through this trial…not praising the circumstance…it’s not worthy of praise….but our wonderful Lord is more than worthy of our praise….and how grateful we are to have His Word confirmed to us in many ways such as this DaySpring word of encouragement. Jesus said to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world…so we are rejoicing in the God of our salvation and in the One who paid for all of our deliverances. Hallelujah!

This verse represents where I am spiritually at this point in my life. I’m an empty bucket , dry as a bone in the desert sand. I KNOW in my heart who He is and that He loves me so I will wait for His refreshing rain.

As we wait upon him, he will never fail to let us understand the leading of his
righteous right hand.. GOD IS LOVE..
‘ HE KNOWS YOUR HEART
HE KNOWS YOUR PAIN.
HE KNOWS YOUR PATH
HE KNOWS YOUR NAME..’
*.*.*.*.

Thank you for your encouragement, that he knows my pain, my path and knows my name. During trials of our youngest son not loving us sorrows us; we know there is a God that DOES LOVE US.

“THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH…….”
OUR FATHER IS AWESOME. HE’LL NOT FORSAKE YOU. NEVER.

oh I hang on to that promise that He will not forsake me. Oh dear Lord thank you for not forsaking me. Thank you Joseph for reminding me of that!!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

(words from a beautiful hymn)

These verses in Habakkuk remind me that no matter what the difficult circumstance, be it health, wealth, family struggles, etc. – when I turn my eyes to the Lord, I will find the joy only He can give.

What a timely scripture verse. It’s just how amazing how He can minister to us. Even if all fails, I will rejoice in my Lord and joyful in my King.

Thanks for this. For the past four days, I have been along side my daughter in the hospital, while her 4 week old daughter struggles to catch her breath after coughing. She has whopping cough, which is on the rise in Illinois. She needs to know, as well as I do, that God is in control no matter what. I know the hand of God is on this child’s life because they said she is the ‘wellest looking sick girl they have ever seen’ with this disease. But watching her struggle to breath during a coughing spell is terrifying. We have to believe the report of the Lord, He is our only hope!
