in the middle of your work, the middle of your world.
Sometimes it’s hard.
Sometimes it’s ordinary.
Sometimes it feels, well, small.
And as I prayed about what to share with you this month, it seemed one whisper kept coming back to my heart:
“Tell them they really are making a difference.”
So that’s what I want you to know today.
Whether you always feel it, whether or not you always see it–
you are changing the world in your own wonderful way.
One diaper at a time.
One word at a time.
One heart at a time.
We need you to be who you are, to do what you do…
and to keep on doing it no matter what.
Someone Who Loves You sees.
And smiles.
(I’m smiling with Him too).
Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Now that’s encouragement!
Oh, how that Enemy can tell me I don’t matter and anything I do doesn’t amount to a hill of beans. What baffles me more is why I even give him an inch of mind space when the Creator of the Universe says over and over I matter much!
Thanks for encouraging us with God’s truth and reflecting it. Love you dearly!
So good to see your sweet face here, girl! Hoping I get to do the same in person sooner rather than later. π Thanks for your kidn comment. You are most certainly making a difference!!
Boy, did I need to hear this at this time in my life! Thanks for the encouragement. :o)
You’re so welcome, dear Evonne!
We can’t hear or read these life words enough. Thank you for filling me with truth once again.
I write what I my heart needs to remember–I’m glad I’m not the only one who needs to hear truth again and again, sweet Jeri!
this will give me an extra boost of happy specialness for today; a surprise gift that i thank you for passing it on!
so grateful for your heart in this most’ incouraging’ ministry…
So glad to be able to give you a surprise gift–knowing it felt that way to you makes my heart smile!
This is timely – thank you for this reminder!
Glad you stopped by to read, Jamie!
Holley, your words always make me smile and encourage me π
Be blessed and stay close to Jesus,
I’m glad to have a sister in Christ like you!
Marie.
YES, so glad we’re sisters in Jesus! π
Thank you for allowing God to reveal himself to all who receive your email. I just lost my husband and I love reading your emails.
Thank you for this beautiful reminder! It was such an encouragement on this Friday morning.
You’re so welcome, sweet Paige!
Thank you for this timely encouragement. You cannot even begin to imagine how much I needed to read these exact words on this exact day. God bless you. π
Oh, so glad God got the exact words you needed to you and that I got to be a little part of it. Have a great weekend, Jeanette!
You listened to His voice very well.
I did need to hear that today.
Thank you.
Thank you–I feel like my first job is to be a LISTENER and then a writer. Your comment meant a lot to me.
Thank you for using your gift to encourage us all. You are indeed a blessing to so many. I recently sent your card to a friend who needed Hope. Through your words she was able to get her second wind and press on. Thank you, Holley.
Thank you for passing along one of my cards, Southern Gal! Yay!
A good message to pass on to the kids, too. Helps to cast a vision for them.
So glad truth doesn’t have an age requirement (or limit)! π
We walk by FAITH in this!
And the reminder is also timely.
Thanks for sending it out today!
So glad to be walking by faith with you, Marilyn! Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for the reminder….I feel so under appreciated sometimes, but I know that even if no one else says thank you or notices what I do–He sees it and is glorified by it!

Oh, sweet Bindu, I love seeing your name in the comment list. Thank you, friend.
Holly,
Thank you sooo much for the encouragement. I need to hear that & believe that daily, especially in my job. Sometimes I feel like I’m not making a difference, not sure why I’m, stuck here, but God knows & has plans for me.
Praying with you this morning for God to lead you into all He has for your life, dear Beth…
So thankful to be starting the day out with your life giving words, Holley. Keep pouring, and we’ll keep sipping and smiling. π Love ya’, sweet Holley!
Holley that was awesome, the last few lines were really touching! Thanks for your words today.
Thankyou Holley. You made me smile. See the difference you are making? π
As a mom of 4 young adult/adults, everything you do makes a difference. Every conversation you have, even with a 3 year old, every craft you help make, every diaper you change, every nose you wipe. You are building a foundation for a well-balanced, lvoing responsible human being. Keep on keeping on!

You know what, Holley, I did need to know this today. Thank you for following the leading of the Lord…it’s like He is speaking this directly to me, through you.
Nell
Amen! Thank you you so much for this sweet and simple reminder. I needed it. I’m going to go change some diapers, read some stories, and make some lunch for my Savior’s glory!
This spoke volumes to me: “..as I prayed about what to share with you this month”. How encouraging to know it and to read what He speaks to you as we read it.
thanks dear Holley…you speak words of life like my mama in Heaven would say if she could…you are a bright, beautiful blessing:):):):)
I just wanted to tell you how much this touched me. I subscribe via email and I get the post on my phone, everyday. I really needed this. When this came in this morning I had just thought to myself how there was no way that I was making a difference in the people that are around me. I work in education and I was really having a down day when I read this it made me cry. If this was for no one else it was for me. Thanks for all of the encouragement.
Holley, your words always make me smile. Thank you for being such an encourager and pray-er.
Keep saying it Holley! So few do…and well, you do say it so well! Love to read your words and see how women respond to them! Oh, how women need to be encouraged with God’s Word and how much He loves them. You just can’t say it enough!
I’ve been trying to begin my online days reading a little (in)couragement every morning; today was just too full, so I’m ending reading a little (in)couragement.
Funny that I should read this after a (friendship) sinking spell. Guess God knew I’d need to hear it n.o.w. π

Dear Holley,
Thank you for the encouragement. I have a God-sized dream of a new job where I can make a difference and hopefully help people. I do not feel that I make a difference at all where I am now. Nothing has come of the new-job dream…yet. Thank you for this, though. I’m thankful that God … and you π … are smiling. Just making someone smile is enough to keep me going. π
Thankyou so much Holley, I have just discovered your site and what an encouragement you are…all the little touches too!!! So gorgeous!!! I go onto your site most days and it is so what I need to hear for that day. God is so good! May God bless you always as you give to others!!! I read something yesterday that said “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop (Mother Theresa) so true hey!!!! Have a wonderful day. <3 x
thanks for this encouragement today Holley…God is taking me out of everything that is known and familiar to me…i am not working due to a fall i had last month…i am feeling like i am drowning in the daily “stuff” at home in the midst of remodeling my kitchen and every step we have hit walls..the only thing that keeps me going is that God keeps whispering to me not to worry, it will get done and that there are people in the world that do not even have a kitchen…and if they do it may have a dirt floor..this puts me right into the thank you/praising God mode that my mishaps are small compared to what other women in the world face every day…your words encourage me to just plain trust in the Lord and not worry about the things that are temporary….each one of the ladies comments above have personal meaning for them…i thank you for your comments and prayers for all..may you have a blessed weekend…Javene
Holly thank you, you really help me every day as i read your mail. God knows just what i need and uses you to speak to me mand days in your writings. God bless you and your family. Kathryn in the Bahamas.
Dear Holley,
Thank you so much for speaking to me through the Lord here. Unfortunately i wasn’t able to get on until now, but I believe that the Lord has sent me here this morning in his timing. I really need to hear this this morning.
We all are very Blessed to have you making a Difference in the way you do.
In Christ’s Love & Prayers

Holly ~ I cannot tell you enough how your words have changed my life. I have shared your blog with others and a friend told me the other day “thank you for sharing.” It has been a blessing in her life, mine and many others. GOD is speaking thru you and it is beautiful! Thank you!
God Bless,
Lisa
Even though I feel I am getting stronger handling problems that are so hard (son still is having problems and has not found his faith) – I have moments still…that “ememy” like Kristen said…still wants to pull me down. I will not let him….I will let go and let God come in. Thank all of you for sharing your moments and how you get through.

Hi Holley- thanks for the special message. I am part of a woman’s group in my community and our mission is to help children in need. We are focusing these next weeks with our food collection for families in need and sometimes I feel like our efforts are a “drop in the bucket” compared to the larger groups that collect millions of dollars and tons of food. After reading your words today, I am reminded that we are making difference in our corner of the world and that families will be blessed by our work and our gifts to them this Christmas. Thanks again for touching my heart with your wisdom and love.
God bless you…..Love, Linda
Holly…thank you so much for this prayer..I really needed it at this very moment. I am at the end….I don’t know what to do anymore…I must perform for others…that’s all. I am nothing to anyone…why go on? But thanks to you, I have at least two…you and God
Appreciate the encouragement today … I needed this.
Thank you. I heard what I needed to hear today in your blog. I pray I’ll have your love for people. It’s very near to the way Jesus loved.
Thank you every day for the encouraging words and I’m so glad that God walks with us each and every day
Our Lord regularly uses you to give me a shot of encouragement. Thank you for loving all of us.
It’s always encouraging to think that we are making a difference for someone. Thanks for your words Holley.
What a blessing, Holley! You make a difference. We do all need to hear that everyday. Remembering that our Savior thinks so does really make all the difference. π My husband is really good about telling me this on a regular basis too. I am very blessed in that way. He is sick this weekend and I have been making homemade chicken soup, homemade chili, hot tea, running to the store for medicine and whatever else he needs. He is always so appreciative. He came up behind me in the kitchen earlier this evening and told me how much all I have been doing means to him. He told me that he is amazed at how I do what I do to take care of him and the boys with such joy. He told me how much it means to him. (tears of joy) He told me that every little thing I do makes him feel so special and that he feels the love behind each act of kindness. I give all glory to God because sometimes its not so easy being tired and feeling cranky but stopping the cranky words and choosing words of blessings instead…through the grace of God is the only way I can do it. I feel so blessed today! I need to remember to remind other women how precious they are and how much of a difference they are making! Like you!!!! π
Blessings!
Mary Joy
His words through you make for the most wonderful comfort and blanket of love to cover us today! God bless you, Holley! You make a difference in my heart.
Thank you for these thoughts, Holley! Once again you have brought tears to my eyes! Praise God!
Dear Rosita:
You are precious! Never feel that you aren’t making a difference. You are loved with a great and deep love. Remember who Jesus says you are! Remember the love our Father God has for you! We all need to remember that. I just don’t want you to give up! You matter to God and very probably to more people than you know! God bless you! You matter to me, and I haven’t even met you! Let’s pray for one another! I am praying that you find rest, hope and joy in God, Jesus your Savior and the Holy Spirit!
You don’t need to perform for anyone. You need to be for God – a vessel though whom He can show Himself!
Because of Jesus,
Cindy
