  1. Dawn, this is such a beautiful worship–*noticing* His purpose in Communion and how it is about relationship–with Him and through others to Him.

Your question immediately made me think of the hard moments in marriage when the talking happens. The deep, meaningful, hard, important talking–about the issues around disappointments and failed expectations. The difficult moments when our pride is broken and we See goodness in the hard. “Healing and refreshment” come in the talking it out–the laying our wanting to be right at the door and just accepting each other.

  2. Lovely.
refreshment. Hmm… I suppose I feel it most in the moments when I completely yield to the Father, and He completes the task that I was trying so hard (and failing) to do.

  3. Dawn this is so so beautiful. I was just there in the pew with you hearing the worship, feeling the water, listening to sisters praying. What an incredible piece of writing. Thank you for inviting us into the service with you.

  4. Communion Sunday snuck up on me this week too. And it, too, is where I find healing, perspective, and direction. Those gifts from the Father bring refreshment in a way nothing else can.
