About the Author

I’m a lover of Jesus, a wife and a mom, and the unworthy recipient of God’s grace. Occasionally, I’m inspired to put pen to paper, and I’ve found it gives me a voice I didn’t know I had.

You have reminded me of God’s subtleties – that when we can’t find Him, in our darker times, He’s always there – we just need to open our eyes and see Him. Abundant love! 7. What a beautiful story! My grandmother lived with us while we were growing up too, and I have such loving memories of her. Now I am the “Meemaw” and my 2 beautiful granddaughters are spending some time with us for spring break. Last night we had a “slumber party” and we all slept on the living room floor. What a blast! I think we see God through each other!

  8. My Grandmother help raise me as well. We visited her in the summers and I am the woman I am because of her. She is 95 and still lives on her own. It is such a blessing to know her and to have heard her stories. Thank you for telling your story and reminding me of mine!

  12. Positively beautiful, Jennifer. Reading your words caused tears to pour down my cheeks and a flood of beautiful memories to come rushing forth. My vessel had an Irish brogue, butter soft skin, and smelled of Jean Nate and Listerine. Although my grandmother has been gone for more years than I care to remember, she will forever be where my heart calls home and all the proof I will ever need that there are angels among us!

  13. Jennifer, oh my goodness! You have captured your grandmother,my Aunt, so perfectly. She has always made me feel God’s love in her genuine smile and comforting voice. Now that I’ve lost my mom, your grandmother reminds me so much more than I’ve ever realized of all the special ladies God has put in my life. How blessed am I?
