At (in)courage, we empower women to be like Jesus. Our writers share what’s going on in their life and how God’s right in the middle of it. They bring their joys & struggles so that you can feel less alone and be empowered by the hope Jesus gives.
(in)courage,
I was grumbling when my older dog got me up at 4 am. because she had to go outside. I then read this scripture and it shifted my grumbling toward my many gifts that I have received from the Father – the giver of every good and perfect gift. Thankful that I am able to greet another day. Thankful for a post of Robin’s from 2010 that He guided my eyes to this am. that spoke to doubt I sometimes struggle with. Thankful for the love of my faithful dog for these 12 years. Thankful for (in)courage. Thankful.
Blessings all,
Bev

Yes, everything ‘good’ is a gift from our Heavenly Father. He has been directing my path and giving me HIS strength to follow all the steps that my mental health professionals direct me to take so I can reach life-long healing and recovery.

This is one of my favorite scriptures…although I have about 500 favorites. 😉

He can only give good gifts because He is wholly good. All He gives is good and He is the most generous giver. He is totally faithful and totally true to His character.
All I have and all I am is evidence of His generosity. Thanks be to God

He never changes. Not His Word, not His promises. That is comforting

I tend to make a list of all the things-big, small, important or insignificant that I am thankful for. To date I have listed over 200 items. each day I write down what I was thankful for that day. That allows me to stop the grumbling and be grateful to God for each and every perfect gift!
Think on these things and attitude change will result! So why can’t I remember that? Thanks for sharing.
