  1. (in)courage,
This verse also reminds me of another one of my favorites on the topic of our Lord fighting for us/me: The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14). Thank you for this reminder of our Father’s great love on this Father’s Day!
    Blessings,
    Bev

  2. Thank You so much for this Excellent Verse of Scripture. Exactly what I need. I have just lost the love of my life; since my dear husbands’ sudden death, I have been devastated and have actually experienced feeling terrified plus I cannot stop crying. If anyone would ever pray for our family and me I would be Eternally Grateful. The needs are many at this time .. employment etc..
    Thank You So Very Much.
To All You Dads .. God Bless You Always and Happy Father’s Day ..

    • Sharon,

Prayers for you as you grieve.

      Father God,

Please shower Sharon with your grace & compassion. Give her some hugs. Allow people into her life that can comfort and console her during this time of grief! Help her to remember the good times they had together! Reminder her that she will get to see him one day in Heaven!

      Blessings 🙂

    • Dear Sharon-

As a sister walking the road ahead of you, six and a half years now, let me assure you that God is faithful to his promises: “A father to the fatherless, defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling.” Ps 68:5 Lord, I pray that you would wrap your arms around Sharon and her family and hold them close. Let her see you and feel your presence as you look after their every need so she too can be assured of your faithfulness on this journey she did not choose. In the name of your son, our Lord, we ask these things. Amen

    • Dear Sharon, I lost my mom ( and my dad lost the love of his life ) suddenly as well about a year and a half ago. I know my situation is a bit different, it not being my husband but I still would have such anxiety not really knowing how I go on with out my mom…one of my very best friends. But always remember God is Good…All the Time!! He will carry you and never leave you. My dad was the same way…he cried for months and being a man he really felt that that wasn’t right. I assured him…crying is good for the soul. Did you know that the chemical make up of grief tears is different than those of regular tears?…and thats because it is healing to cry. Your tears will be replaced with joy and peace…the only kind Jesus can bring. I pray for employment for you, I pray for your family and for peace in your heart. God bless and be near you dear Sharon. My deepest sympathy.

  3. Lord, we ask you give Sharon & her family the sense of your presence and comfort them in their pain; supply their needs, and lessen the fear…for we know how the evil one works on our minds & souls in times of fear and pain. amen.

  4. Dear Heavenly Father, Please give Sharon some comfort right now. I know the deep sadness and pain a woman feels losing her own husband. Please Lord, surround her with wonderful memories of her life with her husband. Remind her how much her husband loved her and still loves her even though he is in his eternal home waiting for her and their family there. Remind Sharon that they will all be able to be together again in Heaven…remind Sharon that her life on Earth is just temporary and her forever home is in Heaven. Please Lord give Sharon some peace that you are going to be there for her and will direct her and her family’s steps and will make sure they are provided for. Keep drawing Sharon close to you. In your holy name, Amen. Sharon, I hope this gave you some comfort. -Jodi

  5. I need to be reminded of this daily! I battle daily with my emotions at work. I feel stupid, dumb, not good enough. I know that God will take care of me, but it hurts me emotionally the way I am treated.

    Blessings 🙂

  6. Sharon I pray in Jesus name that God will comfort you with His love and fill you with His peace. May all your needs be met in Jesus name. Amen.
The Lord thy God will fight for! Love and blessings!

  7. I am praying for you, Sharon, may God’s comfort and peace surround and support you. With love and sympathy. Beth, believe that God sees injustice and makes it right for those that trust in Him. It’s not easy when we are in the midst of our pain, but it is when we turn around and see that we have always, always been led through our trials. God is leading us, He is just up ahead, keep believing, keep praying for strength, keep following one step at a time. Love to all.

  8. Dear sister, Sharon! I lost my husband a little over two years ago. I underwent so many problems such as a car accident and guardianship to my 9 years old grandson, and now probate. There is nothing i could say to take away the pain. Only in his Word I found refugio. Something I did I wrote in my prayer book the Bible verses from incourage and some of the messages by pastor Roy Lessin at Meet Me at the Meadow, and read Holley Girth. Actually, Incourage blog helped me to not lose my focus. I’ll pray for you and your family. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18.

  9. I have to run to these scriptures when I feel abonbanded, frustrated, and exhausted. I must remember and dwell on the Lord’s protection and strength. 31 For no one is cast off by the Lord forever. 32 Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.
33 For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.” Lamentations 3:31-33.
