God, we remember that day fourteen years ago as if it just happened.
We remember the moment we first heard the news.
We remember the images blazing across our TV screen and hearts.
We remember those we lost. We remember the heroes.
Today we remember all of this too . . .
You are in control no matter what happens.
Coming together makes us better.
Evil never wins in the end.
From what looks like utter destruction, hope can rise again.
So we pause. We pray. We believe.
We look to the past to honor what’s come before.
We live now with a strength we didn’t know we had until we needed it.
We face the future with a faith that You are still good.
Yes, God, we remember.
May we never forget.
Amen.

Holley, your prayers always come at the perfect time for me. I will never forget this day. But I pray today that we somehow find peace in the horrific attack that we faced 14 years ago. I pray that God protects us from evil and protects our heroes that are continuing to protects us every day. I continue to pray that we as Americans find a way back to each other to stand United and defend our land together, to stop fighting each other and remember what this country is all about. I pray that one day we can truly be One Nation Under God again. I pray all these things, in his glorious name, Amen!
A beautiful prayer to pray and to remember that day, and those who sacrificed everything. Thank you, Holley.
Thank you Holley for your prayer today..The Lord gave me a word a while back..The word HOPE which stands for Helping Others Persevere and Endurance….Now I understand what He meant when He gave me this…His timing is always perfect and filled with Love..Because He is Love..We honor those who perished and we will never forget..We praise God for those who are with us..May the Lord Bless each one of you….
Thank you, Holley. I would like to add this prayer.
Lord, we pray that you will reach down and comfort those who lost loved ones on that tragic day, especially the children who lost a parent. We pray that you will guide the minds and hearts of our leaders and future leaders in a direction that will prevent future such disasters and to keep you in the forefront of this great country. We want to insure that future generations will be able to enjoy peace and security and the freedoms that our forefathers had planned for our country, All praise and glory to you. Amen
Amen. So beautiful…God bless you Holley
Well said … we do remember …. with our minds and our hearts all that we saw and all that we felt that day and many more to come. I pray for all those who lost someone close to them and are still missing them today. Good bless you.
Yes, Amen. Thank you, Holley.
Thanks Holley. This was perfect. My hometown paper had nothing on the front page at all…so sad. I pray we never have another horrible terrorist attack. I also pray for all those that grieve this day, year after year, those that lost loved ones, those who are still in need of healing – physically and emotionally. I thank God for His great mercy and love, who is still Sovereign.
Bless you Holley.
Holley,
May we never forget that horrific day!!! To many people lost loved ones!! I remember that day like it was yesterday! I was at work and someone said something about an attack on one of the towers. Then they said the second one was hit also! We got sent home as no one could teach, or work-just talk about the horrific events. I pray for all the school children who lost parents, saw the tragedy first hand, and for all those who were there seeing it first hand! May God give them a sense of peace and contentment! I pray for the first responders and others who helped! They are our heroes!!
God Bless!!
AMEN!
