  41. “Fervent,” that’s a word that I’ve come across before many moons ago perhaps even in my childhood as my mom first taught me to pray. But the miracle of God is that He gave me a heart for prayer it’s been a common thread weaving through my life but I want it to be effective, sweet as incense and for His glory. It is why I look forward to participating in the scriptural study of prayer through reading this book.

  50. I love the fact I can actively participate and implement strategies in spiritual warfare against the true enemy! I’ve listened to many Tony Evans sermons and I love the messages and the life application he gives and I know the Lord will bless this book club when we all come together and fight against the dark principalities- a 3 braided rope is harder to break and I just believe when we come together and pray and share with one another during the book club we will defeat the enemy in this spiritual warfare that is going on in our lives! 148. I always enjoy your selections for the club! Thanks for the opportunity to win AND grow 🙂

  149. This is so timely. I just watched War Room a couple days ago, and am inspired to rev up my prayer life.

  150. How exciting! I have the book but haven’t gotten really into yet, and this is the perfect chance to get started up. Plus, improving my prayer life is one of the areas of obedience that I am working to improve, so the timing is spot on 🙂

  151. Recently, I was able to watch The War Room. I’m very happy to find a Bible study that will complement the movie because nobody wants to have a luke warm prayer life!!

  152. Interesting how Father leads, guides and directs our journey. Having read Emily Freeman’s blog post, Break This Habit Change Your Life (Feb 16,2016), I am encouraged to join this book club, a first for me.

  153. Excited about joining as our church is finishing up Battle Plan for Prayer also a book inspired byou War Room. Looking forward to reading Fervent.

  154. I would love this book. My prayer practice suffers greatly and I need more focus and guidance. Thank you!

  155. I’m looking for something to draw me closer in my walk with the Lord. This would be an awesome start for me!

  156. Priscilla Shirer breathes life into your soul with every single God-inspired word that she writes. I am excited to be a part of a community of women who are eager to grow their prayer lives!

  157. This book is so awesome and I would love to win the prize pack to give my daughter a copy of her own! This is going to be a great study

  158. Received this book as a Christmas gift from my son and daughter in law! I set up my War Room after seeing the movie. Recently finished Priscilla’s study on the Armor of God and was looking forward to starting this book when this Post appeared in my inbox! So excited to see what God has in store!

  159. With every year of my life – I’m 50 now – I realize more deeply how significant prayer is in fighting the spiritual battles (and there are LOTS of those) and in knowing richly the One who loves me most. It’s always an area in which I want & need to grow.

  160. I have struggled with how to pray and after watching war room I am excited to join this group and study more about prayer and how to stay focused and carve out that time and truly and intentionally be in the prayer time I set aside each day. And stop and listen to what the Lord is teaching and guiding me to do and pray for and not to forget to pray for thanks and the struggles of life as each one is a lesson also.

  161. I’m excited to join because I started Fervent a while ago, but haven’t found the focus to finish on my own. I know by participating in this book club and having a reading plan I’ll have the motivation to finally finish. I’m also so thrilled to be discussing and learning from the other women who are reading along.

  162. Loved the movie, War Room! And all the wisdom Priscilla Shirer has to share. I think the Bible study group I help lead is going to do Fervent next.

  163. I can’t wait to start this study. I am through the intro and into Chapter 1. I am ready to be intentional and start putting into practice what I am learning.

  164. I loved the movie War Room. Last year I was in a Bible Study at our church called Discerning the voice of God with Priscilla.
I have been praying that God would help me and teach me how to pray more specifically. This is so perfect and such great timing. 🙂 I wonder why and Who was instrumental in that. LOL.

  165. I’ve heard AMAZING things about this book, and am very excited it’s the next (in)courage book club book! I’ve loved all the previous book selections, and can’t wait to dive into a book about amping up my prayer life!

  166. I’m so excited to join this book club! I have been trying to develop a deeper, more purposeful prayer life. I am the mother of three nearly grown young men and I’m feeling that I’ve failed them by not praying for them as fervently as I should have all these years. The War Room has inspired me to look at prayer through new eyes, and realize it’s not too late. God’s got more in store and I’m ready to learn how to align fervent and strategic prayer with God’s will. I’m so ready!!!

  167. I’m excited as it’s much more rewarding growing in God’s word and furthering our walks & prayer times with others. It’s inspiring, motivating & helps me to feel like we’re all in this together! I moved away from my core Bible Study & close knit group of sisters in Christ so am really feeling disconnected, I know that’s about to change!

  168. My prayer life needs more intentionality in it! I need to stop simply asking for this or that–even if it is good stuff for others. I need to pray with fervency using scripture as reference to denounce the evil one!

  169. There aren’t too many book clubs that are inspiring to be apart of these days. I am looking forward to gaining some insight on how women, especially busy women, use prayer to draw closer to the Lord. Looking for some ideas and (in)couragement on how to focus when praying because I have alot going on in my own life. I need some STRATEGY!!!

  170. what perfect timing, finding this, this particular book at this time in my life when I need to return to prayer and faith. Thank you <3

  171. This comes at a perfect time for me as i feel my prayer life needs a boost. Looking forward to it.

  172. What perfect timing! I have been so inspired by War Room, but with two precious littles at home, I find myself exhausted and frankly don’t know where to start. Silly, I know, but it’s just how I feel. Looking forward to getting in gear with this study!

  173. I am so excited for this reading! I’ve already read the book and it’s amazing! I plan to read again and again. Priscilla is so wonderful to have shared her strategies with us. It’s truly a blessing!

  174. This book means a promise to get back to the source. To make a commitment to my quiet time and prayer life that I have let slip away or be replaced by busyness.

  175. I’m excited about participating in this book club because I enjoyed the one with Emily Freeman and I’ve seen The War Room and know I will enjoy and benefit from this book by Priscilla Shirer.

  176. I am so excited for this series, bc I’m tired of Satan messing with my life, my family, and my husband. I want to fight back with Gods powerful weapon, PRAYER.
    Can’t wait!!!

  177. I’m currently going through a confirmation course and am seeking ways to enliven my spiritual life, and this book looks like the perfect compliment to what I’m doing!

  178. I love having a direction to aim for and a community for support and real conversation but as a busy momma the flexibility of going at my own pace!

  179. I love prayer. It’s my way of blessing family and friends. They have so completely blessed me. And I have the high privilege of a common, fumbling girl speaking with her Savior.

  180. Yay! I am excited to go through this book with y’all because I already have it AND it is just SO SO GOOD!

  181. I am excited for this book study because my prayer life needs improvement. I absolutely love the movie war room and I thought it was very inspiring.

  182. I am hungry for this encouragement to pray–to pray steadily, with commitment & with passion. I look forward to the words of support and encouragement here.

  183. I’ve never been part of a book club before, so this will be a first for me. I loved the movie “War Room” and it has inspired me to focus more on my prayer life. My entire world has fallen apart after the recent death of my beloved father right after Christmas. I haven’t been dealing with it well at all and haven’t felt that God has heard or responded to my prayers. Everything has been “on hold” and I’m struggling to find God again and learn to pray more fervently and effectively.

  184. I look forward to reading this book by an amazing author! Her words are powerful and thought provoking. It’s great to be a part of a book club in a community of women to learn from each other and pray for each other!

  185. So excited and thank you (in)courage for providing the opportunity to be a member of this book club! I’m looking forward to participating and I’m grateful for the chance to win one of the Fervent prize packs! What a joy it would be to use!! I enjoyed the movie War Room and I’m looking forward to reading this book.

  186. I’m excited to read this book and join in with other women who want to pray and share how God is present for us all!

  187. I actually just bought the book last week, before I heard about this book club! God has a way of creating little miracles.

  188. I am always humbled and encouraged by the amazing timing of God. It is no surprise to Him that I am almost finished with a Women’s Bible Study on Priscilla Shirer’s Armor of God……and now my first introduction to the (in)courage book club is her book Fervent?! Praising Jesus! I am so excited to continue in this subject & with this author. I had just been joyously grieving the end of the study and now have a new joy from the Hope that is ALWAYS in Him. Can’t wait to start this with ya’ll. Hoping my adult daughters will join as well. Praising Jesus, the lover of my soul!!

  189. I’m excited to join this book club!:) I have read Fervent and have talked about it with my local friends. Looking forward to hearing about how others think and feel about the book and about prayer.

  190. I’m excited for this study because I’ve wanted to read this book since I first learned about it but I haven’t been motivated to read it. Having a community to read it with and share discussion about the book with sounds like exactly what I need! I look forward to having a strategy to grow my prayer life and to really learn how to “fight my battles” in prayer. I’m excited to have a group to interact with and learn with! Can’t wait!

  191. I need to reenergize my prayer life! My life has been hectic, chaotic this year. I not only need to desperately carve out time for prayer, but make those prayers more intentional! Especially in light of the way the country is going and the way the election seems to be going! God please help us and revive this country!
    Blessings 🙂

  192. I have been struggling with trying to start a prayer journal and to remain faithful and committed. So thankful this is the book choice for study and direction.

  193. I love books and would love this new one. I just finished a book by one of your writers and it was amazing

  194. I really love the idea of this book and seeing how it can change my everyday life to be more soulful, more authentic.

  195. For over a year I felt a nudge to be in prayer more and make that a big priority and focus. Unfortunately I allowed the chaos of my life to be a distraction and excuse. I bought Fervent a few weeks ago and drew a line in the sand. When I saw this is the next book for the book club I was so excited. Looking forward to the community and opportunity to dig in even more. This is it, no more excuses!
