  1. I don’t know what to do to encourage some new believers to be steady in fellowship! Thanks for simplifying it–I just need to ask for the next step, not sort out everything right away!

  2. Thank you for the bread analogy. My prayer(s) is for my son – that he would take that next step in life. He is frozen in his ways. He does the same thing over and over again expecting different results. My prayer is that he would quit his old ways and take one step…just one…in the right direction. Also prayers welcomed for approval of our application for tax exempt status for Redeemer Christian Foundation which aids orphans in the Middle East – providing them with a Christ/Biblically based education, food, clothing, and humanitarian aid.

    • Dear Father,
Please with Bev’s son. Show him the beauty in the next step, the unknown. Comfort zones are terribly hard to break out of, give him the courage to break free and into a beautiful life with you.
Please also bless her work with the orphans in the Middle east. You know her heart and love for these children. Bless any challenges they may face in the start of this organization.
Thank you, Father, for all the wonderful and beautiful things You do.

    • Bev,
I pray your son sees the right way. And I pray all goes well with the school you have committed yourself to.

      Take Care,

    • Bev- I pray that God shows your son the next step to take in the right direction and for your work with orphans in the Middle East. God bless you, your family, and your work!

  3. Right now my husband and I are struggling with the decision of whether we should continue to go to the church that we’ve been attending for 10+ years, or if we should look for something new. Over the last couple months there have been multiple moments that make us feel like it’s time to move on. We have so many friends at this church, and his family. There hasn’t been any clear sign for us to know either way for what we should do. This next step, or lack of a next step, has been honestly exhausting. We love so many of the people in our church, but we feel like this just isn’t the place for us in our walks right now. If we decided to worship at another church, his family would cut us out of their lives. The same goes for many of the members of our church.
I’ve prayed earnestly, that one way or the other, God would show us what to do. If it is to find a new church, that he bless and guard us in the process. And if we are to stay, that he would show us to lovingly make this church a place where young adults are respected and not thought of as children.

    • Heavenly Father please give Brianna the next step and wisdom in the decision on moving churches. Help her to know clearly Your will for her and her family. Thank you for Brianna and her husband may you bless them today. In Jesus’ name. amen!

  4. Please pray for my children. I have been divorced for 4 years and it has really affected my children. My son has taken out his anger on me and his sister. In addition to the divorce, my daughter has very significant learning issues. Please pray for the Lord to heal my son’s heart from the hurt and anger and please pray for The Lord to remove my daughter’s obstacles that make learning hard for her.

    • Sheri – I understand your situation, I’m divorced with kids as well.
Lord, please be with Sheri & her children. Although time has passed there is still pain from the divorce. Please help her son’s heart to soften & perhaps start to understand why this had to happen. Please help her daughter see things more clearly & remove the obstacles blocking her. Lord, please put genuine people in their paths that could help in all of these situations, a Christian teacher, pastor, etc. Thank you Lord for answers to these requests, Amen.

  5. I have an interview for a much needed better job this Thursday, 2/11 @ 11:00am, CST. I’m a single mom of 2 with no help from their father and it would be a blessing to land this job. Thank you!

    • Kathryn,
Father God please help Kathryn do well on her interview this week. Help her to show them that she is qualified. Give her a calm, peace about the situation. Allow your will to be done in this situation!
      Blessings 🙂

  6. Denise,
My prayers are for me and my family. We are dealing with major health issues with my dad. I need strength to get things done, and to remain calm and peaceful around him.

Prayers for everyone here today! May God give them your peace and comfort during their trials. Shower them all with your blessings. Heal them mind, body and soul!
    Blessings 🙂

  7. My husband is new in recovery from a drug addiction. He has moved out and now thinks he wants a divorce. We have three children and we’ve all been through so much. I didn’t expect recovery to be just as hard as active addiction. I believe God will heal and restore our family, I’m trying to stay in faith and let God lead me.

    • Kristen,
I recommend “Coming Clean” by Seth Haines-Amber Haines husband. He talks about faith and what it takes to become sober.

Prayers for God to heal your husband. Prayers that God will give your husband a heart change and help him to see that marriage is worth the effort! May God send peace & contentment to your family!
      Blessings 🙂

  8. Please pray that my husband, Francisco, be set free of all his addictions/sinful lifestyle and return to the Lord and his marriage.

    • Lord please be with Linda as she stands in prayer for her husband. Lord you know the heart of Francisco, he may be living in darkness but You can restore him and bring him out into the light. Only You, Lord, can judge Francisco don’t let him continue to get away with sinful actions. Convict his heart and speak love and forgiveness to him. Lord I pray Francisco becomes a man after Your heart and returns to his wife. Amen

    • Linda,
I recommend “Coming Clean” by Seth Haines-Amber Haines husband. He talks about faith and what it takes to become sober.
I am praying for you right now. May God set Francisco free from all addictions. May he feel the touch of God’s hand on his life! Prayers for peace and contentment as you deal with this!
      Blessings 🙂

  9. I pray for daily strength. I have a chronic illness and I just pray that God uses this pain for His Glory!

  10. Praying for wisdom as I try to take my first step in my new life as newly divorced. Deep down I still pray our family can be reconciled but I must focus on my future with my 11 year of son. I know God has a plan for me. I just need to trust it.

    • Lord, we kneel before You in Your presence to humbly ask that You bring your grace and love to Deb as she moves into this new place with you. May you bring reconciliation to her relationship, Lord, that her family is made whole as our relationship with You is made whole. Let us all fight the good fight with You as our refuge and Father, who always shows us the way when we ask for the next step. In Your holy name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

  11. I need healing for my knees, foot, and now a sinus infection. I am also needing a new job but don’t know where to look. I teach but the work load, stress and administration is too much. Everyone at my school wants out. I am a single parent and have to work but I can’t continue working this job. It’s all I do in the evenings and weekends just trying to keep up with all their requirements. I am overwhelmed and exhausted. Please pray I can find something better that pays well.

I am praying for all the prayer requests this morning that our Heavenly Father will stretch forth his hand and reach down and comfort these precious women, their families and meet their needs. Lord, you see their prayer requests. We know that you can and will take care of every concern they have. We thank you now that prayers are answered. We give praise and honor. I come against divorce, addiction, illness, fear, anger, resentment. I ask that your peace which surpasses all understanding fill these homes and lives. Open doors for new jobs with great pay, help for single parents, heal hurt emotions and provide all that each one needs. Thank you for being our source. We love you Lord.

Have a restful day and know that all is well.

  12. What I really need is to walk solidly with Jesus, to bask in His love and to let Him work in and through me. I don’t even know how to begin! I can open my Bible and it’s just like reading a newspaper article or something to me; I feel like I’m not “doing it right.” And I’m a preacher’s daughter! So I start beating myself up, thinking after almost 30 years on this earth I should have this figured out by now, enough time’s wasted.

I want to depend on the Lord for His daily provisions, but also, for His grace. I am realizing that I don’t leave Him room to shower His love and grace. I don’t truly believe that it extends to me, or that He can/will do ______. One example is the deterioration of the nation; will he help us fix it? Or on a smaller level, buying a different home. It has been, over the 6+ years of marriage, roadblock after roadblock, unable to leave this old house that has been saddled with a too-high payment that precedes my presence in my husband’s life. It’s not a necessity that we move, exactly, but something that would be nice, so we could have a yard for our son to play in, to be out of this dicey neighborhood, to have room for husband’s cars, to have a full layout upstairs as opposed to a half-story, to just have a choice for the first time in my adult life. And I’ve just plain written off God’s involvement in this process, like I think He doesn’t even care about this dream in my heart.

I am thankful that He doesn’t give up on us. His patience is infinite and for that I am so happy because I know He won’t give up until the work is complete.

  13. Hi. I have Fibromyalgia [I am 62, a retired Reg Nurse] and am fairly disabled by it]. Due to the amount of pain and fatigue with malaise [feeling like I have the flu] I have to think carefully about how to use my energy each day. For instance today I want to go with my husband to see his mother but in order to manage it I have to skip church. I ask for help in my own prayers that I ask each day, “Lord, what should I do today, or for the next hour?”

Lord I pray for Tami to know how to reach out, how to encourage others. For her to know the next best step, for her to be able to hear you and have confidence when she has heard you. I also pray for each person here, that they will know you are hearing their heart’s desire, their cries, their uncertaincies and they will have confidence when they do hear from you.

  14. I am like u were in high school. There are so many things going on so many decisions to make. The lists of things are endless. I need wisdom and clarity.

  15. I ask for prayers that the Lord continues to heal me and root His truth so deeply in myself that I am so very deeply rooted in His Love that nothing shakes it, that the lies in my life are overturned and His Mercy abounds in my deepest self.
Lord, I humbly ask that you lift up each of your daughters here today. Shower them with Your Love and Truth and Grace, lighting the next step in each of their journeys so that they are drawn closer to You and Jesus. Help them to focus on You, Abba Father, to trust in You and so rely on Your faithfulness. Teach each of us who sits at Your feet. In Your holy name, Jesus. Amen.

  16. I pray God will continue to show me the next steps in my marriage. We are having a extremely hard time that has lasted for months now and it’s hard to see how we will ever get out of the mess.

  17. Please pray that I stop worrying about my husbands business. He is in real-estate. I always worry about his next deal. With him not getting a regular pay check, I worry about him finding buyers and sellers. It’s been a struggle at times, but God always provides. Yet, I still worry. Please pray for Gods guidance for both of us. Thank you, Karen

  18. Lord I pray for Tami, Guide her next step, show her how to encourage the new believers to be steady in fellowship. Help her to feel your presence in all she does. Bless her.

  19. I am at a standstill in my life and have been since high school graduation. Please pray that I would have the strength to discern the next step and obey, even if that next step is to remain still.

  20. Praying for your continued strength to encourage new believers. His light in you will show you the way every step .
Praying for my daughters and me to continue looking to our Lord for wisdom in our walk every moment. Pray for our continued blessings and gratefulness for everything in our lives now and what will be done.

  21. I have been sick this weekend, and also I have been working a temp job for the past 3 months. Last month, the job posted, I applied, but I have been patiently waiting. It is hard. Thank you for your prayers.

    • Numbers 6:24-26
      New International Version (NIV)

      24 “‘“The Lord bless you

      and keep you;

25 the Lord make his face shine on you

      and be gracious to you;

26 the Lord turn his face toward you

      and give you peace.”’

  22. Please pray for my husband. He retired almost two years ago, after working for 41 years. During the first year of his retirement he worked a 1/4 contract with a school he had taught at before, but this year the lady returned from her maternity leave. He tried subbing and seriously dislikes it. He has worked a small amount at a bookstore when needed, but that isn’t often. He needs to find his niche. It could be volunteer work or a very part-time job. He just needs something where he can contribute, be happy, and most of all do the Lord’s will. Please remember him.

  23. Thank you for your inspirations, every day! Please pray for my son, as he deals every day with Diabetes Type 1…he tends to get hypoglycemic more than getting high blood sugar numbers…please pray that he can get a hold on finding the balance to maintain blood sugar levels that are healthy…getting low can mean seizures and if someone isn’t along side him to get him some sugar, he could die. Thank you for your prayers!

  24. I’m at a huge fork in the road… It’s complicated but I need strength for this hard decision, courage to carry it out, peace about the path I choose…

    • Praying for you now. We’re in a time of decisions here at my house, too, and I know it can be hard. Blessings to you!

  25. I could use prayer for some major decisions. I don’t want to go into too much detail online, but my husband and I need to make some big financial/career-related decisions. Sometimes I think I know the answer and then sometimes it’s hard not to second-guess. Still waiting on God’s will for this.

    • Amy, praying for you and your husband, that God will guide you and give you clarity and wisdom in your decisions. It can often be hard to trust when we don’t have the ability to see God’s solutions. Praying that your will place and keep your faith only in God, and that He provides answers that you need.

  26. Please pray for my sister… she is a non-believer, and her marriage is in trouble. Please pray that God will change her heart and that she be open to the change. Please pray also for her marriage.

  27. Please pray for direction vocationally. I’ve recently left my job and have no idea what is I store for my future. Also pray for my health as I’m struggling to feel well physically

    • Dear Lord – I lift up Hope to You, that You will heal her body and allow her peace, so that she may recognize the signs You give her in leading her down her next path in life. Be with her in all things.

  28. I really need prayer for focus and motivation, that I will be able to clear my head and concentrate on the tasks at hand, for the Lord to blind me to distractions.

  29. Please pray for my aunt who is in ICU at the hospital on life support. Also, pray for our family as we make tough decisions regarding taking her off of life support. Thank you so much.

  30. Please pray for my elderly dog, Benny, who I had to take to the vet ER this morning and was hospitalized. He was having extremely rapid back and forth eye movements, couldn’t stand on his feet, and was having vomiting and diarrhea. This day also marks one year and eight months since my young husband passed away. I have no family or children to help me. Thank you. Please pray for me.

    • Therese,
I’m so sorry about Benny…. I pray for his and for your comfort and strength as you deal with all of this.

      Take Care,

  31. Please pray for my husband and our marriage. He is using dope and is running from God. His heart is hard and he can’t see the damage the dope is doing to him and our marriage. He’s a high functioning addict and Satan is manipulating his mind.

  32. Please pray for my husband’s heart to soften; he wants nothing to do with God. We have been married for 27 years and he just told me that he has committed adultery and this affair has been going on for over a year. He wants us to separate. I am praying for God to heal his heart and our marriage in Jesus Name

    • Dear Lord Jesus, I am praying for Mary’s husband and their marriage that you would restore what was broken. I pray that you will comfort her with your love so she can trust in you alone. I pray that her husband will turn to you and ask for forgiveness we know that you are a forgiving God. May they hold on to your loving hands in this new chapter of their lives . May you always be the center of their relationship Lord and put you first in everything they do. In mighty name of Jesus I pray Amen.

    • I pray for Mary Elizabeth. This is news that is not wanted. Give her strength and clairity as she navigates her relationship with her husband. I pray for this man to be released form the darkness that our oppressor has placed him in. He is blind to the light of Your way. I pray for his heart to be broken to the point that he comes to You for forgiveness and guidance. Only You can release him from himself.

  33. I am having problems with my health.. Please pray for me. I also need God to show me the next step and guide my decisions as I seek a new career. Help me pray also for my family’s salvation. Thank you and God bless

    • I am in a similar situation tonight, about to go into a job interview tomorrow that could be a wonderful opportunity, albeit a little bit scary and out of my comfort zone. I’m with you in spirit tonight, praying for guidance to the right decision for you, as well as for me. Listen to His guidance, no matter where it takes you.

  34. Please pray for 10 year old Trey. He keeps having seizures and now breathing problems as well. Thank you.

    • I sent a prayer to you earlier, lifting your son’s health issues up to Him, asking him to guide your son’s doctors to the right decisions that will bring you answers to your questions and ultimately will help to heal your son. I pray that he recovers soon.

      • Thank you Jess. Trey is actually a friend of a friend’s son. Thank you for your prayer he is in great need of God’s touch. I hope your interview went well and that God continues to show you His path for your life.

  35. I am in the process of a job interview and it’s taken me away from home. I’m sitting here in a hotel room alone and missing my husband who is my rock. He has been there for me every step of the way but this time, I’m here solo and trying to have the confidence in myself that I am ready for this next career step, it’s a big leap. It’s scary, a little unknown, but yet I feel like it’s where I’m meant to go. I’m asking for prayer — for clarity on this looming decision, that I will ultimately take the turn in my path that He is seeking for me, not the one I think I need to/should take, but the one He wants me to take. This devotional today hit the nail on the head for me, giving me such comfort as I took off for my flight this morning. Feeling very grateful for faithful words like these.

    • I pray for you Jess. That God guides you tonight as you are preparing for this interview. I pray that he gives you the path to follow and you feel His peace every step of the way.

      • Thank you so much. This was my first time posting here even though I read this devotional weekly. I just felt compelled to write today and am so glad that I did. Your words mean so much. Thank you, thank you.

  36. I am looking at going back to work after being home with my son for a number of years. I fear the unknown of going back into the work force. Am I capable or qualified anymore after being home for so long? I also worry about my son and the impact on him and still being available to him. I think of Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous, Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. I try to listen to this verse knowing the Lord is with me. My prayer request is whether the job I am looking at is what He has for me now. If yes, to open the doors and for me to not be afraid to walk through. If no that He closes them until the time is right.

    • Father God,

I thank you for Lynn—for her turning to you and your people in the midst of making decisions and fear. I ask that you would provide her an answer for her next steps, and in the midst of that: courage and peace.

      In Jesus’ name, amen.

  37. Last week, an emotionally abusive friend shunned me for the second time in a year. (I am just beginning to have confidence that he was abusive.) This has left me very confused: “What was true?” From him, there was lying, hints then frustration that I did not pick up on them, blaming—to name a few.

Could you pray that God would give me a sober vision and peace? That he would give me proper confidence? That he would help me navigate setting proper boundaries?

Thank you so much in advance.

  38. Father, I pray for my Sister Ana Brooks, I ask that she would totally surrender her emotional attachment to her friend leaving it on the altar of Your mercy, and leaving it there until she hears Your voice to say go forward or let it go. Give her you wisdom and understanding that You love her unconditionally and that she can trust and depend on You for all her needs emotional, financial, health, whatever her needs are and that You will never leave her nor forsake her. Amen.

    • I offer up my prayers for Terri and her sister Ana. Lord, Help Ana to listen for your voice and feel your hand guiding her.

      • I ask prayers for my daughter. She is full of anxiety over what path to take for her future. She isn’t sure what she wants to do and so what classes to complete, and she worries about wasting money on education that won’t be used. Please keep her in your prayers that she hears and understands what God wants for her and opens her heart to his guidance.

  39. My husband of 29 years has left me. He is in a relationship with another woman. I am at the tail end of the divorce process and looking to a different future than I had anticipated.

  40. My prayer is that God please guide me and show me the next step that He wants me to take in terms of my career. It seems like school has always been my “job” but now that I have graduated and am applying for actual jobs, I am a little scared and unsure about which path to take. I want to hopefully obtain a position in which I can make the most and best out of the blessings God has given me and have a positive impact on as many people as possible.

    God bless!
    Danielle 🙂

    • Dear Daniella,
I understand your prayer needs as my condition is almost same like yours. I will pray that God will lead you and that you will trust Him for 100%. I pray that God will bring you to the place where He sees you and where He has a great plans for you to honor and proclaim His name and to give you a future! Amen! Blessings, Gauhar

      • I do also have a prayer request for my future career path. I have been working as an Executive Assistant for many years at the gold mining and other international companies. I like doing an administrative works but for the last year I do not get excited or happy of what I am doing right now. I am passionate about interior designing and decorating and I am thinking to change my career but I have a lots of fear and I am afraid to start and I do not know how to start. I want to do the work that i like not that I have to do and I pray that my work will bring joy and happiness to my life. I am thirsty for a big change not only in my career but also in my personal and spiritual life. Please kindly could you pray that God will show me the right way to go and that He will vanish my fear and will make me strong to pursue my dreams and to bring glory to His name in everything I do in my life. I thank you and God bless you! Gau

  41. I feel low and lonely. I don’t see what’s ahead this year. I don’t know what the next step is. I feel like I’m just living groundhog years. I sometimes wonder if God hears my prayers.

    • Louise, this is similar to my prayer request. I understand your feelings of living groundhog years and myself tend to call it “living in limbo”. I’m praying for your sister. God will provide for you and has not stopped listening. I say that as I myself question it daily and need encouragement. It has helped me to have a small group of friends to confide these feelings to and they help me with encouragement, we need each other. Sometimes it’s our turn to lift each other up, and sometimes it’s another’s turn to lift us up. In times when we feel this way it is easy to shut down, but please don’t! Let other believers in to help you bear your burden. Also, as commenter on another blog put it “Don’t use feeling good as a barometer for whether God was in it” Our emotions can be such roller coasters and convince us of ugly things. But God is never changes and he knows what you need right now even if you don’t feel like you need it. I encourage you to look up Hillsong “God Is Able” and “Cornerstone” listen to them and read the lyrics. Praying for you.

    • Louise,
Praying God leads you and guides you, letting you know that he is holding your hand and reassures you everything is going to be alright. I understand the low and lonely, but know he is with you.

  42. My daughter is struggling with depression. She has lost her faith. I lift her up in prayer daily, but this goes on and on even with professional help. She needs Jesus.

    • Continue to pray for your daughter, you are being tested to persevere,God is always faithful he hears your prayers and He will answer you in His perfect time. I will be praying for you and your daughter.

    • Jayne, I pray that God will intercede and she will see his light to guide her through this difficult time. I will pray for you too because whenever our children our in pain we are in pain and all we want is for them to find the comfort they need. God Bless you both!

  43. My prayer is that my youngest daughter finds a school that will give her a scholarship to play volleyball and for her academics. I cannot afford to help her and she needs to go away to college to start new. Her father and I got a divorce 2 yrs ago and it has been a very difficult time for her being stuck in the middle of an ugly mess and I deserves to be away from it! I pray God will grant her a college that will help her begin to heal and give her happiness and a the beginning of a new chapter of her life.

    • Dawn, I’m praying now for your daughter! I understand your concern for her, my parents went through a divorce shortly after I finished college. Actually, I currently work at a university in their admissions department. Send her videos and stats to coaches and ask her current volleyball coach if they personally know any college coaches, this could help. Also, check with colleges to see if they have scholarship competition days that she can participate in for additional academic scholarship. Make sure you take advantage of any state scholarships and grants available through the FAFSA and complete your taxes early so that you can have an idea of the financial options as soon as possible. When you search for scholarships online, never pay to apply for a scholarship, this is a scam, they should always be free. Also have her consider work study on campus, and being an RA (colleges usually let students apply for this after their first year) this usually provides their room in exchange for their work as a resident assistant. She may also want to consider a community college to begin her studies, this can help cut down on costs as she completes her general education courses. Dawn, I am praying now for you and your daughter! As Denise said in the article, we pray for our daily bread, and life, especially before college can seem daunting, like you have to have it all figured out. But just take one step at a time, putting your trust in God that he is connecting the steps beyond.

      • Thank you for your prayers and great advice. I am praying for you as well that you will find the peace you need. thank you again you for you help and advice!!!!

  44. I have been struggling through a hard season of depression and anxiety. And as Louise said below, feeling that God is not listening. I have had the same prayer for four years and nothing has changed. I know I am not in control, and that God is, but I have a hard time trying to take control back to change my situation on my own. Please pray I can wholly rest on Jesus and not my own ability. But can also have the strength to go where he sends me, or keeps me.

    • Lord, please give Julie the strength to continue to rely on You, the patience for Your healing and the gratitude to know that You have a special plan for her! Comfort her with Your peace and Love. Amen.

  45. My prayer request is to trust, every day, that God is in complete control of my life. That I trust Him with all my worries….because believe me….I worry all-the-time. This past year has been incredibly tough and I’m just really tired.

  46. I think I’ve been hearing God as I pray for His Will regarding my next career step but it goes against status quo. I want to stay at home, build my home-based business, foster a child, and become an active animal advocate with our state Humane Society. Those are my passions and I can feel God’s nudge on my heart. I ask for prayers that I am actually hearing God’s plan for my life and that I’m able to make a good living doing what I love and having the time and financial freedom to foster and advocate. Thank you.

  47. I would greatly appreciate prayers for my adult daughters. Pray that they can turn their disappointments and heartbreak over to the Lord for good and that no bitterness will take root. Bring them back to you Father….

    • I lift up Chanda to you Lord. Please continue speaking to her regarding what YOUR will is for her. You know her heart and her dreams…you placed those dreams in her Father and I ask Lord that You will confirm to her in ways that she will confidently understand what it is that You are leading her to. Thank you God that you are in the details…no matter how big or how small. We love you Jesus and can’t wait to see what You are going to do! In Your name we pray….Amen!

  48. I am hoping that my next step is a positive one. I have been in a 18 year very bad relationship. I hope my relationship with a person that I have somewhat become involved with and we serve together at Church becomes Gods will and bears fruit.

  49. I would appreciate prayer for God’s direction in my life. For Him to heal my heart and help me with a certain situation. Also for peace and understanding. Thank you and God Bless!

  50. I am struggling to figure out my next step. I just graduated from college and I am finding that I am not sure that I am on the right path. I question if I will ever be able to be an independent adult. I also have been struggling with anxiety and depression. I would greatly appreciate some prayers.

    • Katelynn,
I also struggle with anxiety and depression, but know God is the one who provides for you. I pray he guides you in the way you should go. He’s not going to leave you or abandon you to figure everything out on your own. He is with you. 🙂

  51. Praying for wisdom and direction at each moment of the day. Help me to release control over my life.

  52. I need prayer for God’s next step in whether
I should sign up to go back to school or get a job. Neither of which I want to do because I don’t know if writing is something I’m supposed to do. I just don’t know anymore. I entered this contest for this fellowship opportunity in July in Portugal with a short story that is a mess, but I just want to see what happens. I really don’t know his voice well. I keep hearing wait and then I think it’s me and then get blasted with fear, guilt and shame.

    • God give Julia wisdom and strength to move in the direction closest to You. Help her to find joy and confidence as she follows You way for her life. In Jesus name.

  53. I would love prayer for a safe and wonderful trip across the country to attend my sweet grandmothers funeral with my family. I am very apprehensive about this trip as we have a 6 year old and a 2 month old, I pump breast milk for the baby and she has terrible reflux. Lots going on. Thank you.

  54. Please pray for my anxiety, worry, and emotions. It has gotten bad recently. Also, please pray for God’s timing in starting a family. Thank you!

    • Hi Gabe! Praying for your anxiety, worry, and emotions. May the Lord give you joy and peace that passes all understanding. May He also lead you in His perfect timing in starting a family. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 He will never leave us nor forsake us

  55. Please pray for me for job search or career direction. My 10-month stint as a Project Administrator is about to end because of lack of projects. I’m torn between looking for a Project Coordinator/Project Administrator job (not much experience, heart not really into it, recently started stuttering, but job is high paying) and a Junior Web Developer job (was never a full-time developer, but I enjoyed doing this at the side, not as high paying). Thank you very much!

    • Therese, I share in your concern over facing a new career. I am in the same place! This devotion today gave me much hope, that all I need to do is follow the next step, to get encouragement and direction for just one day. When I saw the part about “Guide me on the right path” I was comforted as it reminded me of my life verse, from Psalm 25:4-5: “Show me the right path, O Lord. Point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me. For you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” Praying for discernment for you, Therese. Trust in God each day.

      • Thank you very much for your prayer Colleen and thanks for sharing your favorite verse. Will also be praying for discernment for you, Colleen.

        • Thank you for praying, Therese. Since this was an older post, and I clicked to bring up the most recent reply, I think it was interesting that yours was the most recent & that we have some similarities in our prayer requests. I think God wanted us to be praying for each other! Thanks for responding back. Hope you have a good day! 🙂

  56. I would appreciate prayers for direction in my life. I am stepping away from my landscaping business that I have run for the last 12 years, and stepping into the working world I left decades ago (if anyone will hire me!) I am praying for direction in my career, my marriage, my entire life! I feel lost as I contemplate an uncertain future. Sadness fills my heart at the thought of leaving the life I’ve known for 30+ years. I know God is with me, each and every minute of every day, and I pray for His guidance, and for discernment as I face each day. I also have some physical trials and pain. Thank you for your prayers.

  57. I am a Mother of a Police Officer- this trend of ambushing the Police intending to do them harm is the same as terrorism for the families that love them. I am afraid for him 24 hours a day and my life has lost its joy because of this. he and his wife will have a baby April 29th- his first and her third. This makes me even worry more. My happy life has become filled with worry for the last five years -the day he started this career. Please keep us in your prayers and all Police and Firefighters.
