Here at (in)courage we like to think of ourselves as “sweatpants people.” While we may live in a skinny jeans world, really at heart we are sweatpants people.
Can I get an amen?
And those are the kinds of friends we aspire to be, too.
Sweatpants friendship welcomes you in just the way you are. On your tired frumpy days, as well as on the days you feel like dancing around the living room. Sweatpants friendship is just as comfortable with your ugly cry as with your victory whoops. Sweatpants friendship is comfortable saying nothing at all, passing the Kleenex, and starting another episode of your shared favorite show.
Sweatpants friendship is quick to give the benefit of the doubt and slow to jump to conclusions.
Sweatpants friendship helps you feel comfortable in your own skin, isn’t afraid of hard conversations, and always makes room on the sagging sofa for one more.
So, on that note we’d love to invite you to join us as we kick off a sweatpants book club about our new book — Never Unfriended: The Secret to Finding and Keeping Lasting Friendships.
Grab some of your sweatpants girlfriends, invite them over for take-out, and put your feet up. Then tune in to listen to me and my own sweatpants girlfriends chat our way through the chapters of Never Unfriended.
I can’t wait for you to meet them!
Will you join us in the Never Unfriended Sweatpants Book Club? Starting April 25, we’ll share a Facebook Live video at 9 p.m. ET (8pm CT/6 pm PT) every Tuesday. Here’s the schedule of my own sweatpants friends who will be joining us as we unpack the book, Never Unfriended:
- April 25 – Ann Voskamp
- May 2 – Holley Gerth
- May 9 – Annie Downs
- May 16 – Crystal Paine
- May 23 – Chrystal Evans Hurst
- May 30 – Jamie Ivey
You guys, this is gonna be so so good. These women are fun and funny and smart and the dearest most incredible kinds of sweatpants friends.
It’s completely free to join this book club, but we need you to sign up so we can add you to our private Facebook group (where we’ll share those weekly videos and other encouragement throughout the week.) We can’t wait to get comfy in our sweatpants and get real about friendship with you!
