  1. In Courage,

I just started Max Lucado’s “Anxious for Nothing” Bible study. First session he talks about rejoicing in the Lord Always. We need to rejoice in a Lord who knows us so well & yet still loves us. His knowing us intimately is intended to comfort us in trials. Don’t fret over the what if’s of life. Go to God, praise Him & let His knowing you comfort & satisfy your weary soul. No one else on this earth knows us like God does. He formed us in our mother’s womb. Take heart & be anxious for nothing. Let the love & knowledge God has comfort & satisfy your soul.

    Blessings 🙂

  2. There is a pocket prayer synthesizing the Lord’s Prayer from Max Lucado that our pastor shared with us today which is very simple, but we have to KNOW the meaning behind the words in prayers:

Daddy, you are good. I need YOUR help. Heal me and forgive me. They need YOUR help. Thank you. In Jesus name, Amen!

Our pastor said, “That prayer isn’t so much about saying the right words, it’s what’s behind the meaning of those words, which counts.”

  3. My favorite is Roman’s 8:28, All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.
It helped me through a tough separation during the 19th year of my marriage and the birth of my son from “the other woman” resulting from that separation. God gave me a peace, showed me how to show grace and forgiveness.

  4. My favorite verse:
“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~ Jeremiah 29:11
It is a reminder for me when I start to ask “why me” for so many reasons, I catch myself in a pity party and this will snap me out of it. I grew up living a moral life, with faith, hope and love. Believing that everything happens for a reason. We sometimes need a reminder that we do not need to know the reason but trust in God that we are protected and loved. It’s difficult sometimes because we are human but His plans will guide us to His everlasting light.
Thank you for this offering. It would be wonderful to have a devotional like this. Whomever you pick will be blessed to have it and share one to spread the love!

  5. I love to read in-courage! All of the writers are such a blessing. My only problem is, I have a hard time reading the articles because of the gray ink. Would it be possible to use black ink? I’ve also noticed books are now in such a light color of ink they are also difficult to read. Honestly I DO wear up to date glasses
Thank all of you at in-courage for even considering my request.
    In His Love
    Kay

  6. These words tell what is on my heart today and with every breath I take. Thank you sister. You touched my soul with these words as God’s grace has touched me and I struggle to hear even though I have deep faith. God’s blessings to you. Your wisdom with His words and your prayer is a gift as I walk a valley unable to walk without Him holding my hand. I ask for prayer for rest and for restoration of my marriage
    Diane

    • Diane,
I am lifting you up in prayer at this moment that God would lay rest on your shoulders like a warm, cozy blanket. I also pray for your marriage – for we know that nothing is impossible for God. You may not be able to change your spouse, but you can obey God and His word to the best of your ability. Praying that you may bring the healthiest “you” to the marriage and that your husband would respond and his love would be rekindled.
      Blessings,
      Bev xx
