  1. In Courage,

God gives us talents , abilities, & resources. He expects us to use them to further His kingdom. He doesn’t want us to strive & feel like we have to do everything. The Bible is full of passages that talk about sowing generously & to the Spirit. Malachi 3:8 talks about robbing God of Tithes & offerings. God wants us to test Him in this to see if He won’t open the floodgates of Heaven & pour out blessings a plenty. Your giving should be proportional to what has been given you. John Wesley has a quote that speaks to this: “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, n all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” That sums this up perfectly.

    Blessings 🙂

    • Amen Malachi 3:8 about tithing. As it is God who gives us Jobs to give us the money to pay our bills. A lot of Churches don’t teach of tithing. From Gods words. I was so was my Husband taught on it. From a good Christian friend who is now in Glory. That when you get your wages you give a tenth of it even before the taxes is taken out of it to God. That is she told us the Church you go to. Then you can give to Gods work like minatorys. That God lays on your heart. God will never see you without he will always meet your needs. Like it saya in Phil 4 verse 19. My God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus. No your greeds. Gos has never let us down. As one time my Husband was out of work. He was on Dole. Getting very little money coming in. That lady said you can’t not afford to teith a tenth of it. My Husband was not going at all. We bill after bill. He did as he knew it was right in Gods eyes to do so. God made the money stretch to meet all the bills. We didn’t have to worry. Even though at the start they seem to come out of no where the bills at that time. We could have worried and not giving a tenth of the only money my Husband was getting then. Until he got a job. That is the job he still has today. So it is right to tithe. The Churches should teach on this more. Then there would be less poverty in the Churches and God work. People who are saved would see God bless them and God see their bill always met. Love Dawn Ferguson-Little

  2. Dear (in)courage,

Love these devotionals & often keep many for future reference as they offer such good direction. Also, have a number of Gals (sometimes even a guy) who I forward these beautiful devotionals onto.
Wondering if you’d consider NOT sending double devotionals though?
    for these reasons
    – delays forwarding becuz of the extra reading
    – If wanting to keep, have to keep both although only titled by the first
    – when forwarding, have to send both messages even if only wanting to send one
    Thank you for your consideration.
