About the Author

At (in)courage, we empower women to be like Jesus. Our writers share what’s going on in their life and how God’s right in the middle of it. They bring their joys & struggles so that you can feel less alone and be empowered by the hope Jesus gives.

  1. So excited to see this new (in)courage devotional coming out. I gave the previous (in)courage devotional (A Moment to Breathe) to family and friends as gifts and it was so well received that they asked me how to order so that they could give it, in turn, to their friends and family. I know this, “Take Heart” devotional is SO timely because life, right now, is not okay. Don’t know of anyone who couldn’t use a word of encouragement in order to “Take heart!” I’ll be ordering…
    Blessings,
    Bev xx
ps. I’m giving away a copy of the first (in)courage devotional at my blog this week. Purchase a copy of this”Take Heart” devotional, and then comment on or subscribe to my blog and I’ll enter you twice in the drawing and you’ll be doubly blessed. http://walkingwellwithgod.blogspot.com

    • That’s so awesome, Bev! Thank you for your generous support! Only God could have orchestrated the timing of this book, as Take Heart was planned out nearly a year before COVID and all the other hard, not okay stuff in our world took center stage. It definitely feels like a “for such a time as this” book.

  2. In Courage,

I love devotional books. Can’t wait to download this & read the great devotions from wonderful Christian writers. This book could not have come at a better time for the country. Many women desperately need to hear a word from God. Life isn’t rosy & we don’t know what the future holds. We can hold onto Jesus & His infallible word.

  3. HOLD ON TO JESUS

There are hard things we have to bear
    Some struggles and some strife,
Ill health that causes wear and tear
    And uncertainties are rife.

God may not choose to send us pain
Or it may be in His will,
But He will use it for our gain
If we but trust Him still.

He’ll bring us strength and comfort
    And hope, to carry on,
    Uphold us in each effort
When our own strength is gone.

The darkest strands within our lives
    Illuminate the gold,
    And underlying joy revives
When to His Name we hold.

    He is forever Father-kind
    And in His infinite love
He has our very best in mind,
Till we join Him in Heaven above.

who takes hold of your right hand and says
to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
