  1. I’ve been reading about how to hear God’s voice as that’s the longing of my heart. I’ve been praying to him for direction in this new season of my life (retirement, grandbabies) and have felt he’s given me the gift of writing to share his love with others. I’ve hesitated due to feelings of unworthiness, not enough ability, and more. Today, I woke up to see the verse 1 Chronicles 16:24 “Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.” and The Courage to Lead by Example. Wow! Just Wow! I have no idea what this is going to look like, but I’m trusting him to lead me and give me the words to share in the way he chooses. Thank you for sharing this excerpt today. Your obedience encouraged my obedience.

    • Reading your comment I felt compelled to ask you whether you thought about writing a childrens book with your grands as the main characters?

  2. It is so interesting that a woman, Deborah, was called by God back in a time when women were not not leaders. It seems in today’s current time, women are becoming equal to men and professions, even in the military. Women’s roles are confusing to me because I remember women being teachers, secretaries, airline stewardess, and housewives. The role of being an at home mother is still a role of God’s calling, and I wanted to be with my children as they grew. Now I am a widow, a grandmother, and mother of adult children. This year has been difficult for all ages and genders. It seems pets have loved the attention this past year of family being home.
This passage is one of many where God used a woman in his plans. I am thankful for God’s word that provides women with courage to lead in their character and in their lives. Thank You for this devotional today which gives us “In Courage”.

  3. I thank you for this very timely message, which will help me today in particular.
    God bless your ministry!
