Praise the Lord, all nations!
Glorify him, all peoples!
For his faithful love to us is great;
the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever.
Hallelujah!
Psalm 117 CSB
January is a natural time for making goals and embracing fresh starts. But it’s also the perfect season for praise! A time to intentionally remember who God is and what He has done in our lives.
No matter how your 2023 ended or whether you’re dreading or delighting in the start of 2024, we can all answer the psalmist’s call to praise the Lord, to glorify Him, to raise a hallelujah!
Praise primes our hearts to see God’s love, to see His fingerprints of faithfulness all over our lives.
Sometimes God’s love is like a flashing neon sign you can’t miss. It comes in the declaration of “cancer free,” a check received exactly when you needed it, a reconciled relationship you had written off, freedom where there was once total bondage. And sometimes, His faithfulness is like a fingerprint whose smudge you would likely miss if you weren’t trained to look for it. His faithfulness is marked by an encouraging text from a friend, a parking spot in the rain, leftovers so you don’t have to cook dinner, a bird’s morning song.
Whether we categorize God’s kindness and care toward us as “big” or “small,” the truth is that His faithful love for us is GREAT! And it will never end.
How have you seen God’s faithful love in your life as this new year begins? Share in the comments so we can praise Him together!

Patience with me as I struggle with creating “margins, learning to release the never-ending task list, so that I can DO the really important stuff: sitting in His presence and loving others with my time and energy.

I had a dentist appointment today last Thursday. I was feeling so anxious that I was almost physically ill. I asked the Lord for help and He made the appointment go better than I could have even imagined. His intervention was evident. I was so thankful!

In Courage,
Over the years I have seen & heard God’s goodness. About 9 yrs. ago I was visiting dad at assisted living during lunch. He was having hard time feeding himself. I offered to do it for him. He said yes. The gentleman seated to the right of us said “You will get stars in your crown for this”. Wow! I knew it was God telling me that I was where I needed to be-not working but taking care of dad & in-laws. Fast forward to Dec. 2021. My prayer was for a full-time job. No parents to take care of & I really wanted to increase our income. God heard that prayer & had management write a job just.for.me. On the way home that day I cried & thanked Jesus profusely. The job duties were not what I expected, but I did my best. Last year I spoke to assistant manager & manager about a unit (work ICU) that needed a clerical stating I would like the job. Once again God comes through. The next day they gave me the position. So 2024 is going to be a banner year for us. We are praising God for His faithfulness to us.
Blessings 🙂

My hard work and efforts at work are usually overlooked/ignored at work, until i make a mistake, then I’m brought to the forefront and made to be embarrassed.
Last week,an escalation happened that showcased my initiative, and put my ‘shamer’ in the position they always put me. I felt like God was watching over me and letting me know he sees me,and watching out for me..it meant a lot,as I have virtually no ally at work

The Lord visited me recently in the night all night long. His wonderful Presence brought me such peace and comfort at a very difficult time in my life. I hold onto that glorious memory as He gave me strength and hope when I needed it most, as I am still going through a difficult time. All glory and honor and praise to my wonderful Lord Jesus forever and ever!

Your article is where I am at this year as my verse this year is 1 Samuel 12: 16
“Even now, take your stand, and see the great thing God WILL do BEFORE your eyes.”
Every day so far in January , I HAVE seen something great happen .. including LIFE as a car drove straight for my husband , myself and grandson walking to school on Monday. Two feet before hitting us God swerved that cars wheels… “
Hence my word for the year is ..EXPECT great things

My father went to heaven five days before we celebrated Christ coming down to earth on Christmas. I see God‘s faithfulness in taking my father in his sleep with loved ones nearby. I see God‘s faithfulness in how my mom cared for him during his long battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. I see God‘s faithfulness in the details of planning his funeral. I see His faithfulness in protecting my family as they all arrive for funeral services during subzero temperatures, power outages, frozen pipes and snowstorms.
I see God’s faithfulness in Him sending the Holy Spirit to be our comforter and encourager. Most of all I’m grateful for Jesus, His death and gift of grace so that I’ll be able to see my father again in heaven again someday.

His faithfulness is there, even in the dark valleys when I can hardly feel His presence. He shows me glimpses of light that give me strength to move forward. Praise Jesus for His mercy and grace.
