  1. Beautiful and timely prayer, “we lift our eyes to You, the Light no darkness can overcome” especially stood out to me.

I have big deadline this week, would like to ask for prayer for grace and strength to finish the project well.

  2. In Courage,

The second & third paragraphs spoke to me. We need to confess our lack & pray for more of Jesus. Our country needs a revival desperately. We have lost our first love. Time to turn our eyes upon Jesus looking full in His wonderful face. Let the stuff of world fade away!

My hubby has a stressful job (weekend CT Tech at large hospital). Only have two techs Sat & Sunday. They are piling more & more work on them. He’s been doing this work for 38 years. He is ready to quit doing anything medical. Pray for a discerning mind to know God’s will for his life.

    Blessings 🙂

  3. I became a single mother after escaping an abusive relationship. I have struggled financially for many, many years. I’m struggling with decisions to try and make our situation better. Please pray for me to feel God’s wisdom and comfort and for the right doors to be opened. Thank You!

    • Elizabeth – I am praying that you will feel God’s wisdom and comfort and that a door/s will be open for you. My two beautiful children are young adults now, but I have been a single Mom with them since my son was just over 1 and my daughter 3. It is not easy and it’s scary, but God has a plan for you and your family. Hold on to the HOPE we have in Jesus and pray letting Him know. Take comfort, as best you can, that He is always with you. With Love.

  4. “To root our hope in your promises” resonated with me, as I have been sustained by hope throughout my life.

Please pray for my two adult sons to have their hearts renewed with understanding, forgiveness, and a desire for family peace and unity.

    • Yes, Kathleen, I’m with you in this prayer as well. Family unity and forgiveness.
It breaks a mother’s heart. Stay rooted in His promises, remain as His testimony in your life and look for His blessings.

  5. Remind us that prayer is not our last resort but our first line of defense, our lifeline to the One who holds all things together.….

I am walking through an unwanted divorce. Please pray for me and my children as we navigate how to heal as well as honor God through this. Please pray for my husband that his eyes would be opened to the truth of Gods word and that he would surrender to the Lord. What a comfort to know that God goes before me and He is already working in ways that I cannot see. Please pray for the restoration of my family.

  6. I have honestly loved the whole devotion, but I think that the first 2 paragraphs really opened my eyes to what we all need to do. I do pray frequently during the day, every day for the world, for my so upsetting situation and for hoping that this season that everyone gets, somehow better before something really bad happens. Too many wars and no peace there, too many people children and adults killed for what? Ukraine deserves to have their democracy and we are entering the third year of this horrific war. Many of us here where I live can’t even bear to watch more than 10 minutes of the news. Nothing ever is happy or even hopeful. So as I get ready to go to church, I will pray that somehow we do find peace in Jesus Christ. Maybe we have to wait a bit longer, but we should never give up hope that the Lord will come through with his holy promises. May you all have a blessed Sunday as we attend church. Maybe that is where we need to start. Love to all of you that we be friends, neighbors and a community that is tightly knit……………………Betsy Basile

  7. The line that resonated with me the most was: “And keep our prayers rising like incense, a sweet offering of trust and surrender”. Prayer, even if a prayer may not be answered as hoped or as timely as hoped for, there is a reason – part of God’s will. So, keep praying – just talking through everything with Him – because you find it brings comfort no matter the outcome. My word for 2025 was surrender – not easy but beautiful.

  8. “Keep our hearts steadfast. Keep our eyes fixed on You. And keep our prayers rising like incense, a sweet offering of trust and surrender”……..and yes wisdom please Jesus!

Prayers for our young ones. We all get side tracked, but the “wondering” young have the opportunity right now to follow the young trail blazers of Jesus. Stand strong in their faith. Use their voice, Pray. Forgive. Raise their hands in song and community

  9. Amen! Please pray for me to not give up hope. To stand strong in the faith and do everything in love. Thank you and God bless you!

    • Healing Father, You see Stephanie right now. You know everything about her. You are intimately familiar with everything that is going on in her life. Right now, in Jesus’ name, I speak HOPE, glorious Hope, into her surroundings. I speak Your bright light into her darkness. I speak Your answers to her every question. May she know that You are there, that You will never leave or forsake her. May she feel Your great love in a very special way – even today! Thank You that You can enable her to stand strong and do everything in love. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

  10. Thank you for the reminder that prayer should be our first defense, not our last resort.
Please pray for my mom as she moves into a new place and pray for both of us as we go through this transition. God bless.

  11. Oh how I needed this prayer today. It spoke exactly what I’m feeling. My marriage looks like it might not make it but my hope is anchored in Christ and as long as I have Him, I have hope for my marriage.

    • I pray God will intervene and bring your marriage back together, with lots of love and many happy days.

  12. “You are Wisdom Itself” is the line that stands out to me. It reminds me that I don’t even have to think about turning to God for the issues I face. Turn to HIM! When I speak to God, I speak to the very essence of WISDOM. Wisdom for my life. How awesome is that!?

  13. I love these devotionals. I am asking prayer for a friend of mine. He had a stroke and his sister and niece compromised his bank account. These are people he has loved. I pray this will not worry him to the point of a sickness.
I am asking prayer for my Mother. She is having problems with a dental implant, post-herpetic neuralgia, arthritis, and hearing loss.
    Thank you and God bless.

  14. I think it was the ending of the 2nd paragraph and the end of the fifth paragraph (before the closing) that stood out to me.
I just ask for prayers for a good week ahead for my family and I, in work and school and the day to day things.
I have a neurologist follow up tomorrow, so I ask for prayers for that to go well.
I also ask for prayers for my little sister as she just started college this year. It’s been a good first semester so far with the exception of one class (for some reason), so much so that she had to drop the class.
So I pray for a refreshed perspective and that the one class that she had to drop doesn’t impact her college outlook negatively. So I ask for wisdom and joy throughout the rest of her semester.
    Amen.
