  1. In Courage,

Jeremiah 29:11 was first verse I memorized & is my life verse. He answered my prayers over the years. The results may not be exactly what I thought. But it was what I asked for. He knows what’s best for us. He sees the future & gives us His best!!Keep praying, believing & trusting God for His answers, hope & a bright future.

    Blessings 🙂

  2. It’s amazing – when you believe you “got out of the boat” and “surrendered” this year to follow what you believe is God’s calling for this new season of life – there are many days you feel discouraged, overwhelmed, lost, hopeless (as noted above) and may I add, alone. Then something like this devotional shows up in your inbox – and it provides reassurance and hope.
    God Bless –

  3. (in)courage community…………..I did expect that the devotion for today, the Fourth Sunday of Advent, would be good, but WOW. it was the perfect devotion to raise me up and tell God that I love Him and I still have HOPE that my son and ex-husband will see the error of their ways and bring me back into the fold of the only family that I have or I should say I had before they turned on me. As Linda said in her comment. Being alone especially at this time of year is very difficult. It has been 6 years now and no communication from my 54 year old son or my one grandson who is 15 and his parents have told him false things about me to make him feel the same way they do. I still hold on to HOPE even after all these years and I will continue to pray and hope as God is good. Love to you all who are part of the (in)courage community and comment frequently as I feel you are my friends and it just makes me smile. Merry Christmas!!!………………Betsy Basile
