I received the book 2 days ago. It is beautifully written and it is life changing. I have never thought of eucharisto and now I think of it all of the time. The fact the Jesus gave thanks the evening before His death–I never thought of that. I have started my 1000 gifts and it is life changing. It changes the way you see things. Praise the Lord for His work through your writing.

Just got my book yeaterday (and one I ordered for a friend). Stayed up too late reading. And I am wondering- could it really be that Thanksgiving will open the floodgates for me like that? I think it can, but wow- so much to learn myself.

I’d love to obtain a copy of this book… I am a college student studying journalism with not too much money to spend on fun reading, but I have followed Ms. Voskamp’s blog and I love her writing style. It is such an encouragement to me. My life is so very full of gifts– God-fearing friends, a Christian roommate, and the chance at a challenging and deep education, to name the three major ones. From what I’ve read of the first few pages of your book on Amazon, your mission is very similar to one that God has laid on my heart, and one that I try to promote through my blog. We find Christ amid the beautiful ordinary, the everyday gifts that we would otherwise pass by.

I ordered the book from Amazon as soon as I heard about it. I finally got it and read it cover to cover in one day. I absolutely could not put it down. When I got fibro 4 years ago, I decided that I would not be “fibro” but someone blessed with this condition. Since getting this dumb fibro I have been so blessed….beyond words. My hubby and I have been baptized, we belong to a small country church, my children are being raised in the word…..there are just so many BIG blessings that have happened in the four years. Your book reminds me that I don’t need just big blessings but the small ones are everywhere I look. I am changed because of your book. I am focusing daily on small blessings and it has changed my perception….and I love it. Thank you for your words.

I have been following a holy experience for several months now ( by e-mail subscription) . I must say what a life changing experience! There is a new way of looking at things that I have never seen before… THANK YOU! I would love to be included in the giveaway!
God “gifted” me after the death of my daughter to see the beauty in everything. But I am finding this “dare” is opening my eyes to even more beauty and truly helping God heal me. I wake each morning in anticipation of what I might write as my “gift” for the day. And I have to say by thinking of the gift it really does set my day to receive more. Something so easy but yet truly truly healing.
My greatest joy so far is ordering extra’s of the book to give to some women who I’ve wanted to thank for a year now following my daughter’s death. Thank you Ann for “listening” to God and sharing with us what you “heard.” Does that make sense? :)

Dear Ann,
Having to admit that I VERY much would love to win this L*O*V*E*L*Y gift package. The timing would be excellent as I am just turning the corner from a 3+week ‘pain flare’.
HOWEVER, there are 3 ladies who NEED this encouragement much, much, much more. Each has a child dying of a terminal disease, mito. And one has just been told that her unborn 21-week along (in pregnancy) baby will survive only minutes after birth, if he/she doesn’t die in the womb.
These are raw, tragic lives … BUT God. But God is SO evident in their experiences. After you read a few of even their latest entries, you’ll see what I mean.

I so look forward to Saturday’s. It is my day to stay in and do what I want too. Today is cold, not to get above freezing. Staying snuggled under my blanket with my feet up, finishing a knit scarf that looks like a necklace for my daughter, reading my Bible, drinking coffee, listening to Christian music on CD, but also have the tv on so can keep up with college basketball ( the tv is on mute by the way).
Had to check back to see if could finally post a comment on about Ann’s book. So looking forward to getting to read it. I always go to Holy Experience first. I have been a follower of her’s for quite a while and also am a follower of inCourage.

I really wanted to order your book, but having just returned from the mission field and enrolled in college, I really didn’t have the money to buy one. So I had decided to wait until I could borrow a copy or find it at the library. This morning I was happy to see a chance that I could win one! :-) What a lovely treat for the winner.
